  1. Terrific 100, very patient and didn't panic even when Anderson has been at the other end.
  2. Broad goes, lbw and he doesn't ask for a review! 228-9, Anderson and Ali still have over 20 overs to see out.
  3. Nope, Sri Lanka starting to panic a bit with plenty of worried glances to the skies. Jordan batted fairly well and spent a decent amount of time at the crease.
  4. Would be harsh to drop him given that he didn't bowl too badly and he has batted superbly today given the match situation.
  5. Sir Geoffrey gave him pelters on the TMS podcast, as he says you have to ask why England persisted with the same tactics for hours on end when they obviously weren't working. Didn't help that both Anderson and Broad both had bad days at the office. Good day for Stokes, career best figures of 7-67. Must be back in contention for the Test squad.
  6. Sri Lanka lead by 203 at lunch with 3 wickets left. Mathews has been terrific on 79no.
  7. Sri Lanka 106 runs in front with 6 wickets in hand, still very much in the balance IMO. Sri Lanka still have a chance of posting a decent lead as long as Jayawardene is there. England lost their last 8 wickets for just 87 runs, still fairly poor at this level.
  8. 7 half centuries in a row, only the 4th player ever to do so and that equals the record. Andy Flower is one of the other 3.
  9. Good read, bizarre to think that players had left from Scotland to go on and play for the all blacks long before we had any "kilted kiwis" coming back the other way. Never easy to win in Argentina so the result has to be a positive even if the performance might have been lacking in some departments. Even if we lose next week it will have been a worthwhile summer with 3 wins so far and a move up the rankings.
  10. Euan Murray returns to Glasgow Warriors, better hope they don't have too many Sunday games then....
  11. 45 overs of the supposed 90 gone and England still need 8 wickets to win, Sri Lanka 258. Pitch still as flat as a billiard table.
  12. Didn't see it but have read a few scathing reports online, last week and this don't seem to augur very well for the Southern Hemisphere legs of the summer tour.
  13. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/27778247 European Cup Draw was today, Glasgow Warriors ended up as a top seed and came out the hat with Bath, Toulouse and Montpelier. Decent draw IMO.
  14. Yep, I'll back you up on that one, saw it during the night.
  15. Brave move, I'm sure she will knock f**k out of him if he doesn't do what he is told. His management say that it is "initially for the grass court season."
  16. Plunkett the big surprise IMO, never saw that one coming. Thought Prior would be there to provide some back up on the pitch for Cook.
  17. Watched Athers and Bumble and they both felt Buttler was "dozy". As Atherton said some people might complain that it's not in the spirit of the game to put someone out like that, but neither is it in the spirit if the game to be wandering a couple of yards down the pitch without bothering to keep your bat grounded before the bowler releases the ball. Stupidity on Buttler's part after being warned, bet he stops doing it now though!
  18. Thought losing the players they did to injury hurt Glasgow, but Leinster just had that bit extra quality to take their chances. Great effort from the the Warriors to get that far.
  19. Especially if they can't hold the ball from simple passes like the one Strauss just dropped.
  20. Fear the worst if Niko is first choice scrum half next season, he can be brilliant at times but that was just daft.
  21. 14-12 to Leinster against Glasgow at half time, Glasgow have dominated most of the possession and territory but can't turn that into trys. Russell has kicked 4 from 4 so far, including one from near halfway right on the whistle. Gutted that BOD had to go off early on, farewell to one of the best players ever.
  22. Andrew Flintoff has signed for Lancashire to play in the T20 Blast, expected to play next Friday. No, it's not April 1st.
  23. A Life Too Short: The Tragedy of Robert Enke by Ronald Reng Compulsive reading, describes how Enke battled depression over many years. His first severe bout in 2003 led to him leaving Fenerbahce without ever playing for them, and afterwards, he recovered from his illness to become Germany's first choice keeper. After having to cope with the death of his infant daughter and then suffering from injury, he suffered another bout of depression in 2009, and despite the support of his family and friends he took his own life in November that year. 9/10 for me and would thoroughly recommend it.
  24. @sweirz: £20m BT deal includes #Murrayfield, 7s team, domestics leagues + Cup, + 4 regional academies, the captain's first born, 6 trams and a panda
