  1. Yep, they've been burdened by the debt since Murrayfield was redeveloped, that's effectively been wiped out in one go. As you say, puts the goons at the SPFL and SFA to shame.
  2. IIRC when the draw was made Scotland and Wales were both outside the top 8 in the IRB rankings, could easily have been us that had that draw. Definitely a fortunate draw.
  3. Same for me with Dexter, got Rob Brydon though!
  4. Not sure, would certainly like to catch a couple. I've got family in Leeds and Newcastle can be done easily in the one day.
  5. Japan beat Hong Kong yesterday to qualify for next year's World Cup to round off Scotland's group along with South Africa, Samoa and the USA. Fixtures: 23.09.15 Japan at Kingsholm 27.09.15 USA at Elland Road 03.10.15 South Africa at St. James Park 10.10.15 Samoa at St James Park
  6. Leinster edged a close game against Ulster to make the final, so it will be the RDS in two weeks time. Ibrox was apparently reseeded last week so can't be used for anything for a few weeks to let it settle, this was part of the prep for the Commonwelath Games. Like you I was also a bit worried about Townsend taking over, he was part of what was hardly the most inspiring Scotland set up of recent times, so maybe it was just guilt by association! He has certainly taken the team on since taking over, but it will be interesting to see how they start next season when the likes of Cusiter goes, he's been in great form lately.
  7. An absolutely bruising encounter, Glasgow did brilliantly to match Munster's physicality. Hopefully a shock win for Ulster tomorrow to give the Warriors a home final!
  8. Glasgow lead 9-7 at half time, 3 penalties to a converted try that looked debatable but was given by the TMO. Munster trying everything in the book to kill both the ball and the clock, see what happens now they are behind.
  9. Glasgow fortunate to hang on for the win, thought they were going to cruise it then ended up holding out to win 37-34. Good to see Visser back and in good scoring form.
  10. Andy Nicol tweeted the other day about how can the SRU get it so right with Glasgow but so wrong with Edinburgh.
  11. Glasgow going great at the moment with back to back wins over Munster and Ulster. 3 winnable games left at home to Edinburgh, away to Treviso, then home to Zebre. Good chance they could finish in the top 2 and bag a home game in the playoffs.
  12. He's also not played that much tennis yet so 3 games in 3 days on his least favoured surface might be too much? His opponent is also playing out of his skin.
  13. Yep, needs to try and blank out the crowd and just play the match.
  14. Found an extra gear towards the end of the set there. Comfortable last few games.
  15. Murray went 3-1 down in the 3rd set but he's just won 3 in a row to go 4-3 ahead and will serve to go 2 in front.
  16. IMO it would be bonkers to play him in the doubles, looks like this match could go for a while yet, every game is taking ages.
  17. They were just saying on SSN that Giles might be ruled out for the head coach job because he is associated with this dismal winter. That would surely be the final nail if they lose today?
  18. Which came back to bite him on the arse when he was bowling the last over and got scudded for 6 twice.
  19. Joe Root will miss the T20 world cup with a broken thumb.
  20. Here she is out shopping with her friends before the show....
  21. I have a feeling that she might not actually be a lady.
  22. But Jock001 said..... I hope that the pilot's family can now reach some sort of closure. Bad enough to have lost a loved one in tragic circumstances, but it must have been hellish waiting to see if he was going to be blamed in any way for the accident.
  23. The only English player that was bought, Bell,Wright etc got no bids.
  24. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/cricket/kevin-pietersen-damned-for-disloyalty-as-ecb-hits-back-over-decision-to-ditch-batsman-9117763.html Boom. KP hung out to dry by the ECB and the Professional Cricketers Association.
  25. @MichaelVaughan: I think the @ECB_cricket have to explain to everyone exactly what @KP24 has done so we can all have clarity and reasoning A fair comment tbh by Vaughan. Maybe if they were to come out and say why he is supposedly unmanageable people would be able to make their own minds up.
