  1. Another year another host of music will be getting punted out. What are you looking forward to? Anything in particular already released that you are enjoying? Burial's released a new EP that, imo, harkens back to the Rival Dealer EP from 2013 especially the much sparser Come Down To Us. Big fan of Strange Neighbourhood especially. At the same time, you know what you're getting at this point.
  2. If only the BBC hadn't spent the last however many years pissing off every constituent that wants to support it to please a bunch of ghouls who've been desperate to decimate it.
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jan/14/intoxicating-insidery-and-infuriating-everything-i-learned-about-dominic-cummings-from-his-10-a-month-blog Runciman is a bit of a fanny but I don’t mind his writing. Cheers for linking as this passed me by. I think about this thread a lot:
  4. You can understand why the BBC took the (disgraceful) line they did towards Scottish independence but they shot themselves in the foot to kneecap Corbyn and this is their reward. f**k them. When push came to shove twice in the last decade all the liberal bleating about the BBC being an impartial and trusted broadcaster turned out to be a load of shite.
  5. Dreadful tele. No subtlety at all and a vehicle for people to tell Gervais what a wonderful person he is.
  6. He’s yeeted into a pit by a blind man in Return of the Jedi. He’s been shite for about 30 years. Middle managers on the Death Star were giving Vader shit in A New Hope. I think a lot of the love came from what is great costume design.
  7. Andrew’s lawyers days away from “we’re all individual atoms floating about in space unable to connect ergo he can’t have done that”
  8. You need to have more than a thousand posts before you can start riffing with the boys
  9. The first one is pretty poor once you play the second. The story barely touches the sides outside of a couple of characters.
  10. An adaptation of an airport book writer's novels was bad???
  11. Yep. There would have been more chance when Corbyn was there but even then there's a massive chance the shitheads would've tanked a Corbyn government over granting a referendum. I suppose you could make an argument that now they're in power they might be more willing to be flexible but I think there's a greater than 50% chance that Starmer's Labour would intentionally try and f**k any deal with the SNP. Aye the concentration of the young Labour vote for one is gravitating increasingly in the cities and that section will continue to haemorrhage in the coming years as they're routinely ignored. Trying to win over fickle Tory voters will likely do f**k all to compensate regardless of what the polls say. I think the only chance that Labour have is a massive collapse of the Tory vote.
  12. One of the funniest things about Dune to me is how the climactic fight is just... Skipped over. It won't happen but would be really funny if Villeneuve did the same thing for Part 2.
  13. Everyone I know who loves an ability to break a game loves this one the most.
  14. I think they're on about taking his Peace and Justice Project and turning it into a party. It was reported first in The Telegraph though which as you know has it's finger on the pulse of the left in the UK.
  15. Laughing like f**k at the two posts above. Good lord.
  16. Turns out I was playing some knock off clone on the App Store. It's been punted anyway. Got yesterday's in one due to the major discourse around the spelling. Looking forward to playing a proper nae fucking about game today.
  17. It's deliberate by the press and whoever else. Sleaze doesn't have any blowback on the legislative agenda especially when you can make it about one particular politician and have an opposition who are signalling their compliance with what's being pushed through. Politics is dead, baby!
  18. It has to be the latter while they make the near entirety of their opposition centred around Boris Johnson's personal sleazy character. At the same time, there's a lot of time until the next election and the next contest is going to be vicious and leaves the Tories potentially saddled with someone else who briefly dazzles and is promptly found out. I think Rishi Sunak would be a disaster. He's a total geek.
  19. It wouldn't surprise me if there was some sort of nonsense token legislation to hive off the sheer open sleaze of Boris's leadership while they continue pressing on with the insane ghoulish shite in this article: https://gal-dem.com/every-bill-the-tories-are-trying-to-pass-2022/
  20. Good article in the NYT reminding everyone that this PM is bringing about a rotten future for the UK.
  21. Managed to get it in 3 with a full flukey guess. Embarrassingly I don’t think I know the British spelling. Or I’m delirious from the cold I’ve got. Or I don’t have the same word who knows
