Jesus f**k x 2 for the edited version.

My only concern here is we utterly bossed Aberdeen but only managed a 1-0 victory thanks to a penalty. Hopefully we have our shooting boots on and don't get any more injuries between now and then.
1-0 Dundee, Mellon to score and decapitate Liam Gordon in the process.

Well, no he's obviously not the only creditor, that's why I said he's the only significant creditor. If he was literally the only creditor then I would have said that. There's a couple of million due to the Government, interest free, for the covid recovery loans which pretty much every club in the country took advantage of. It would have been negligent not to. Beyond that there will be your usual business invoices, maybe staged payments for a transfer fee here or there. The usual, run of the mill, accounting practises. Nothing's in default and everyone will be paid, except Mr Ogren. Nae luck Mr Ogren.
Edit: Practises*. FFS.
Glad we've established you have plenty of debts outside of your owner.

Surely I don't have to explain the 12th man effect that players and managers have been going on about for decades and how 2000 people at a title decider would make substantially more noise than 1400?
Anyone without a bias towards Utd can see exactly why the tickets have been restricted.

Again, I don't know, you don't know and every Raith fan doesn't know. The talk is that it's 600 tickets. How much noise extra is 600 fans going to make?
If it is 600 (and I don't know this) do you really think United have thought 'let's cut 600 seats from the shed because anymore fans and that will make a negative impact on us
Well, yes. Are you new to football?

As I said on the Raith board. If United aren't playing well it won't be 2,000 Raith fans that is the worry to Goodwin and the players it will be the 9,000 United fans
Why restrict the away tickets then?

Oh Dee Man, is your face going to be red when you find out that the only significant creditor is the guy who owns the club.
That's common knowledge, but are you saying he's the only creditor? Think carefully about if it's possible for all your creditors to be in-house. With £13m owed to Ogren, obviously any other creditor might seem insignificant to Utd, but if you're owed even £30k and you see them refusing that money, you're going to be a tad peeved.

And you like the previous poster know the full reason as to why the ticket sales are being sold this way by United?
Yes. Shiting it from a more vocal support being a 12th man and cheering their team on to victory and ultimately winning the league.

I think the whole "clubs not consulting fans before the decision was taken" thing is a bit of a red herring and not a major point here.
As someone posted earlier, St. Mirren did consult the SMISA members who were overwhelmingly in favour of its introduction. I can't remember if I took part in that vote (I think I did), but if I did, I would definitely have voted in favour. This would've been because I was naive enough to think two things:-
- It would put an end to all the dodgy (potentially bias) decisions that have constantly gone the way of the OF and have driven me nuts over all the years I've been watching St. Mirren. It never occurred to me that those dodgy (or biased) decisions would simply move from the pitch to the VAR room. I assumed the VAR room would be manned by some faceless boffins somewhere and not by the same clowns that referee our matches.
- That the system would be employed with some level of competence and consistency (stop laughing at the back!).
My point here is that I think a helluva lot of other fans, particularly non OF fans, would've had the same thought process as me (been as daft as me) and this is partially evidenced by the St. Mirren vote.
In other words, had the fans of all clubs been consulted, I think they would have voted in favour of VAR. I think it's only experience that now tells us what a complete farce it is. That is not of course to say that we shouldn't have known better.
It's all your fault then ya c**t.

My point is, the irony of a Dundee fan getting involved in chat on how other clubs run their business
The Marr's poor business sense has no bearing on my opinion of other clubs restricting ticket sales when they are millions of pounds in debt.
Thank you.

Surely I don't have to spell it out to you?! From a fan of team who has had more administrations than scottish cup wins talking about creditors
Remind me where Dundee passed up the opportunity to make money from ticket sales during those times.

It's a bit different. We wanted to move Dundee fans altogether to a smaller area of the ground, and use the terrace at Ochilview which is usually the away section for more home fans. United are outright restricting Raith's allocation in the same stand they gave them more tickets for before.
Like I said, it was similar and QP were at it.

You would think with the amount of debt the DAB's are in, they'd be scrambling about desperate for every penny.
Thank you.
Imagine being one of the dab's many creditors and you see them knocking back the opportunity to sell a further 600 tickets at £25 a pop.

FWIW I think common sense will prevail and we will be given the extra tickets, however it doesn't detract from the point that the way it's been done is absolutely fucking tinpot.
Would expect better from a club like Dundee Utd.
I doubt it will be common sense that will prevail but hopefully an appeal to the SPFL by Raith Rovers who get the dabs telt to release more tickets, similar to what happened in our decider vs QP when they tried it on. Utd are clearly bricking it.

I get the frustration from Rovers fans over this, however, can we put to bed that United and Goodwin are bricking it playing this match therefore are holding back tickets.
Are we saying that Goodwin has said "listen I don't fancy playing in front of 2,000 raith fans so can we sell them less tickets please" and the club then saying "OK, that's fine Jim we will do that"
40 minutes ago, Glen Scotia said:I have no idea but no one is "shitting" it. No disrespect but it's hardly 10,000 Galatasray ultras coming over. Its Raith Rovers.
Jim's biggest worry is United fans turning on him if he continues to produce garbage
13 minutes ago, Glen Scotia said:I have zero gripe with Raith Rovers or their fans and I've always had a wee soft for them since their run in Europe back in the 90s but hearing some of the chat in here has tainted my view on them.
I've never heard anyone describe Starks Park as intimidating or the Rovers away fans give them an advantage over home teams so, again let's stop with this shittting it chat lads eh
And I'll repeat and leave the whole chat on these 2 notes. One, I think you will get the whole shed eventually for your fans and two, Goodwin will have 9,000 united fans putting pressure on him and his teams performance far bigger than any Rovers away support ever can
3 posts of absolute drivel, including that condescending pish about having a wee soft spot for Raith Rovers. United are obviously absolutely shiting it at the prospect of not going up and are limiting tickets to keep the away fans' noise down. It's hardly a complete mystery why they're doing it ffs.

That cheating clown Cantwell to take a hilariously ridiculous dive in the box to lead to The Rangers' inevitable penalty.

Regarding the penalty, I ended up in the Coxy as the Derry had sold out at noon and was right behind the incident. We had a clear as day view of it and myself and the fans around me were screaming for a penalty for a blatant shove. I don't understand how anyone can dispute it. The still image shows that as his arm was outstretched on the shove, the ball hit his arm. It's a penalty and VAR did It's job.

I'd wager over 90% of fans say that's not a pen. Dundee commentators who are naturally going to have some bias towards their team didn't think it was a pen and they were right.
Var is making an arse of it, better off sticking with the on field decision.
90% lol.
That's a penalty for anyone who has functioning eyes and no bias.

A fantastic addition to the game. I've always liked it.

Aberdeen are fucking stinking. Uber-minter we didn't win by at least 3.
