The only good thing to come out of VAR is the number of cameras there now are at non-televised games, which leads to better highlights. If VAR were scrapped, you can see the SPFL going back to the relatively poor coverage we had before.

Not that that's a strong enough reason to keep it, mind.

What about the game at Dens where there wasn't 2 angles for the ball clearly hitting the Aberdeen defender's hand? If the cameras aren't covering every angle then it's pointless. Get it in the sea.

  2. Hearing strong rumours that the Caballero Golden Kingsway Crossing Statue complete with swinging testicle chariots planning application has been denied but a 600ft high Mo Sylla opaque diamond statue with titanium pubic hair to be used as a chairlift cable has been aapproved. Fingers crossed.

Has anyone ever managed to define just what “Getting Ready” entails, and why does it take so long ?, just what goes on in the bathroom that takes 45 minutes ?, how long does it take to get dressed ?. It baffles me

I was up at 7, breakfasted, shaved, teeth cleaned,  done a dump, at ready to leave for the Nevis Range at 7:30. The dog and I are still waiting the remaining members of the household are still to “get ready”.

Should’ve told her you were leaving at 7, then she’d only have been 15 minutes late.

If a groups dynamic is disrupted by the presence of a woman then perhaps the groups dynamic ain't that great.

“Disrupted” is probably the wrong word - a shift/change in the dynamic if a male or female enters a female/male only crowd is an undeniable fact.

People who hold those type of views absolute should be scared of what most  people would think of them

Go on then, why would that be?

I hope you take your wife on stag do’s.

The fact no woman would want to go on a night out with you doesn't mean that these things actually exist.

What does any of this nonsense even mean?

  5. It’s got to the point where it’s just tokenism and a diversity box-ticking exercise.

Can’t we just have one thing to ourselves?

There’s a reason there are men/women only nights out and holidays away - we’re completely different creatures. Throw a woman into a male only environment and it completely disrupts the dynamic and vice versa. When was the last time you saw a male pundit ripping the piss out of a female pundit? It doesn’t happen - the banter is completely different. People are scared to say it for fear of being branded sexist or a dinosaur but Keegan said what the vast majority of football fans think.

In the North of Ireland, peace was achieved only by an extended period of dialogue, by having the right people in place, who were all motivated towards the same goal, and who had the vision, intelligence, instincts, decency, leadership & backing/power to make it happen.

Even then, it was near impossible, with painful concessions made.

I see none of that in Gaza/Israel.

Not a single sign of the motivation. No commonality. No shared goal. No leadership. In fact, very much the wrong leadership.
As it stands, there isn’t even a desire for talks.
    On the Israeli side anyway.

They’re like the Thatcher government, but with an extremist agenda & goal of ethnic cleansing.

They hold the cards in respect of initiating dialogue & seeking compromise, or solutions. Problem being, they’re at the table with loaded six guns and the prospect of taking the whole pot if they just open fire on the other players, who have only rocks to throw.

This will be close to a genocide. It will be done in full view, and with the near full support, of the international community.
By the time the horror becomes unavoidable from a PR perspective, and Israel has to back off a bit, it will be irreversible & unimaginable carnage.

You hear pro Palestinian commentators talking about an apartheid state. The effect of this will be in full view. The Zionists see the people of Gaza as lesser beings. They do not, in any way, hold their lives equal.

This will be a targeted ethnic cleansing of the untermensch.

The irony of this is lost only on the extremist Zionists currently in power in Israel, & their fanatical supporters.

The rest of us can see it as the abused growing up to become the abuser. If only there weren’t hundreds of thousands of lives at stake it would be a bit sad.

This however, is going to be an unjustifiable war crime, for which current apologists will still be seeking redemption until they die.
    An indelible stain.
    Blair’s Iraq war.

Out of interest, what do you reckon most Palestinian supporting Celtic fan’s take on the Hamas attack would be.

Well, the Israelis are trying to give fair warning so a) b) don't apply. Given Gaza has one of the highest birth rates in the world and has doubled it's population in 20 years c) d) don't apply and I haven't heard about them doing a Russia and kidnapping kids wholesale so e) doesn't apply.

Expecting 1 million people to shift in 24 hours is fair warning? Tell me how you would go about moving 40000 people per hour in any fully functional city nevermind one where the infrastructure has already been blown to bits.

  8. People who say “I’m losing my faith in humanity” at any minor or major occurrence. STFU you stupid c**t, there have, and will always be morons in this world. The majority of people in the world will always be decent. The fact that any unsociable/despicable act gets highlighted should prove this.

Sycamoregate brought me here and I wasn’t surprised to see it being the talking point. Can’t see many people saying they agree with it.

    Thank you.

Clepington Road was shut just along from me last night. Forensics were combing it.  Just found a video of a scrap and some ned being stabbed on Facebook. Lovely.

I saw a video of police cars all over a street with the caption “Police went to the suspect’s house but he wasn’t it”.

Brilliant, thanks for that amazing video.

Last night's message said to phone again tonight, so I suppose we'll see. I'm off work this week. I really don't see how this system works if they pick anyone who's employed.

It’s a legal requirement whether you’re employed or not and I believe everyone gets the same day rate regardless of what you earn. I don’t know how they can justify not picking up the bill for jurors loss of earnings if that’s still the case.

Few months back at my work one of the managers posted in a big group chat that whoever posted a fact that got the most likes would win a £50 voucher. In come these absolute amateur losers talking about the circumference of the sun and pig orgasms not understanding the game. I said to my mate he should say "Everyone that reads this is beautiful inside and out" and he shat it so I posted it and won £50.

The mods here should take note.

I would rather lose out on the 50 quid than post that.
