He hasn’t been out in the news for doing those those things though, those behaviours form part of a pattern that included the serious crimes he’s accused of.

I haven’t seen the documentary and all I have seen on the 2 news pieces I have seen were essentially discussing his attitude to women. There was genuinely no mention of rape or sexual assault so I had to message people back home to ask why it was headline news. It was confusing AF.

It's a step up from mad shagger to picking up 16 year olds from the street when you're 30 and getting production staff to deliver young girls in the audience to your dressing room after a show. And using your status as 'the talent' to intimidate junior assistants into not complaining when you flash your cock. It's a bit like a teacher shagging pupils in terms of abuse of power.

Again, picking up 16 year olds from school as a 30 year old is extremely creepy but not a crime or headline news.

    Aren’t teacher/pupil relationships illegal?

If you’re going to start putting people on the news for using their priveliged position to pull a woman then it’s a slippery slope and there would be nothing else on the news. Where do you stop? Having money? Being famous? Being handsome? Having a big cock? The list is endless of things that women are going to find attractive to them. If any woman chooses to go with a man for whatever legal reason then it’s a non-story. How is a famous person pulling a girl a story or an “abuse of power?”

Again, for the avoidance of doubt, the rape and sexual assault allegations are the story

Picked up a rake of records at charity today, mostly early 90s dance on ffrr record label, all pre release promo copies and some with the release sheet. These two bangers were amongst them. The album normal copy is going for a fair whack online. None of the records look like they've been out there sleeves.

The Sun Rises in the East is a bona fide classic. You’ve done well there.

I think some men often get defensive around allegations like this because they feel uncomfortable about behaviour being called out that they recognise from themselves in the past.  Some people also genuinely hate victims, they feel contempt for them showing weakness.  Of course, as well lots of men also hate women or at the very least don't look at them as fully human.  I think that ties back to promiscuity and Brand's behaviour - one person in the documentary said that Brand would have sex with multiple different women every day and I don't think that you could really do that and behave that way and have anything approaching a normal attitude towards women.  Also, I saw this from a female comedian about Brand

That's a classic misogynist. I said earlier in the thread that people who base their lives and personalties around "pulling women" are generally OFTW and that's another pattern I've seen in men who are absolutely obsessed with pulling women for sex, the kind of disgust at women and the quick drop and inability to form lasting relationships, romantic, friendships or even professional, is similar.

Without coming across all Wattoo, I don’t think being promiscuous, having sex with multiple women daily, pulling women for sex or having an inability to form lasting relationships is anything close to a crime or even headline news. Clearly if the rape allegations are true then he has got what’s coming to him and that’s a completely different matter to what you’re discussing here, but loads of men and women the length and breadth of country go out every weekend with the hope of getting sex.

If there are rape and sexual abuse allegations then that is the story, everything else being discussed just sounds like salacious gossip and tabloid garbage.

Naismith was lined up for the job years ago, except nobody expected RN to spectactularly F up an 11 point lead

I don't get people thinking Naismith was calling the shots in some sort of sneaky way since the start of the season when there's many signs that he wasn't

Agree that Robson, Naismith too, did well and it was hard to justify booting either of them in favour of some unknown a$$hole to rip it up and start again (again) so they were both permitted to continue

It can't be argued much, because, as you stated, if new guy comes in and arses it, it looks well worse

Odd that this never made Kickback at all

I honestly can't see how you think Naismith had anywhere near full control of managing our team

Muttley, the most hilarious cartoon ever; followed closely by Daffy Duck

In puppet form, it's got to be Zippy

On what planet is Daffy Duck funnier than Wile E Coyote?

  6. The first time I experienced a minute’s silence was in the Dens Derry for the death of Jock Stein. As a 12 year old it was a spine-tingling, goosebump inducing minute of pure eeriness for a man who I had all but witnessed his death during the Wales v Scotland World Cup Qualifier. It was a truly humbling experience that had me questioning my own mortality before I was even a teenager but also realising at the same time that losing to Dundee United wasn’t the end  of the world.

This week I have seen minute’s respect for victims of natural disasters in countries thousands of miles away. This is on top of silences in the 63rd minute of the game because a random fan died at 63 years old.

If anyone arranges some sort of celebration of my life at a game, I’m coming back to haunt them. As a ghost.

It totally dilutes the respect that we should be paying to people linked to our clubs.

Lots of rumours online about a big breaking story/scandal to come out this weekend.  Channel 4 has scheduled an episode of Dispatches with no details between 9pm and 10:30pm on Saturday night and it's alleged that the Sunday Times are also preparing to report on whatever this story is.

So at least for the next few hours we have the hilarious spectacle of loads of weirdos speculating about what the story is.  So lets join in.

What do P&Bers think the big breaking story is?

What is your favourite big breaking story?

What's your favourite rumour that people assured you was about to break but never did?

I think it’s going to be about Russell Brand.

  8. Jak and Zach were an excellent partnership and bounced off each other IMO but when Robinson went back to Wimbledon the correct decision was to let Jak go, but when we got Zach back we should have got Jak back at least as back up. The 2 of them always looked good together. Zach needed Jak back IMO. He doesn’t look very good without him.

Received the book below as a gift a few years back from my best mate and fellow Dee who introduced me to P & B.

Thoroughly recommend it, certainly helped me with threads such as this.

A bit too much of a dab coloured cover for my liking plus my ex thought it would be a great idea to have it on display during home-opens so for those reasons, I’m out.

Its the overall attendance of away games. Your average away support wasnt over 2000, that was the average crowd at your away games.

League One teams all have low figures because away supports are so low, especially considering they'll be boosted by Falkirk and Dunfermline away supports.

The 100 fan difference between you and Dunfermline is due to them having less away fans turning up to their home games.

I think it’s been at least 2 years since I posted but it appears RandomGuy is still the most boring guy on the internet.

Really saddened to hear from someone I know who wasn't even going to the game but lives near the ground that they spat on by a Hearts fan on the street just because they were transgender. Clearly majority of folk going to game would be disgusted by that and I know plenty good folk that are Hearts fans and hopefully this horrific  behaviour is wholly condoned by the club and supporter groups.
