  1. A big season for Jack Ross as to me isn't as much the Messiah as St Mirren claim to be, he turned up for 3 months of the 7 last season and will struggle with lesser quality signings to replace better players. He had St Mirren eventually playing some decent stuff and that perhaps has won him plaudits, I still think an experienced manager would've had St Mirren safer long before Jack did, something we will never know
  2. I'm head strong on that we will win, I see it as a 2-1 or 1-0 with Loy scoring
  3. My head says win by a goal, my heart says a draw, my balls say win by a few and my arse says get beat.....
  4. Yep by hoping to face you lot next round equals love in for Rangers... Tho its a plum tie for you, the battle of the financial cheats
  5. Miller will be bit part player this season, Miller is a clever player in when to go down whereas McDonald is more anytime is a good time to go down. I'm more inclined to say Austin goes down far too easily at times and somehow wins fouls, when he doesn't he goes missing. I suppose it was Austins debut season for us, much more to come from this season, Loy has already plated up two goals for him, I've feeling its Loy's turn for goal(s) What kind of reception do you think Loy will get on Saturday ?
  6. Aye, its a win win either way for me tho.... I still hate pars more but I can kinda can appreciate them if they beat the old firm....only kinda tho
  7. Just watched your goals from yesterday, was John Baird getting stick for his weight yesterday ?
  8. Full back isn't the easy gig it was years ago, I do recall the livvy game hippo played full back, he done well but thot back then he was wasted back there.... Cruising in games and being able to sub him after he did more than his fair share in the victory...... I think he's a stick on for his first goal on Saturday.
  9. Its by far not an Alston comparison at full back, tho sure Alston was carrying an injury at Raith that day...
  10. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kerr keep his place and Shepherd is the teachers pet above O'Hara I've never got the number 10 role is Sibbalds best role, he doesn't posses a killer pass, shooting can be wayward especially when he shifts his whole body to use left foot. Sibbs best season was wide left of which he never really recreated the same level of consistency of that season, his best performance of last season was left mid. His skill, link up play and freedom to cut in all on his preferred left side for me will always be his best position, history shows that to be the case Financial wisdom of a Fifer, rather lose £s with losing us and keep Utd down
  11. No one is to blame, its football. If Sibbald had a two year contract and we wanted rid and he didn't want to go, same applies, its football The agent can't sell someone who isn't currently a wanted man by anyone due to the circumstances of his age, step a year on where no fee is required, then interested parties will at least double !! He would have a fair amount of interest, more in Scotland no doubt. The agent, if he is worth his salt perhaps should've advised him to sign a 2yr contract with a release fee and if he performed this season, he may have got a move, if not in 2yr a move would've happened. The problem is agents make more money with players moving. The simple facts tho are St Mirren obviously had two midfield players that were deemed to have more than Sibbald and were sold pretty pronto
  12. What if he disrupts what we have now ? He is out the loop with a week to go till the league starts and we appear to playing with more pace wide and McKee is more mobile in the central role. There is a reason his only suitors are a fourth tier English club and we are sitting waiting around with a week to go, whereas two promising midfielders from St Mirren are snapped up quick rapid and for £s
  13. St Mirren please, signed for next Saturday too is he worth 200k tho ? one club interested and the fee of the 200k+ is made up with a formula I think we have to be thankful we are not doing our budgets ala George Craig style. Loy possibly will be on a fair whack and we have lost Hibs for Inverness and replaced Raith and Ayr with Livvy and Brechin. If Luton dont wish to sign Sibbald, I doubt anyone will be sniffing to pay some sort of six figure fee after then. 100k or Sibbald ? for me its 100k
  14. More of a two fingers and wreckage on here than fairy tale.....still id like that We never played the kind of football on the deck as we have in our last 3 game as to last seasons hoof ball, considering last nights 11, only Loy wasnt available. The only fluent one touch and link play was only reserved really between Leahy and Sibbs. Muirhead last night even had a Cafu night. We only became a bit more route one when Miller came on which was more akin to last season.
  15. The joy of every game so far is everything has been on the deck, strangely tho only Loy being not here from last season and we were very much hoof ball a lot of the time. The opposition has to be taken into it but all the one touch, one two's were in there against Inverness... Bring on the Midden......after Brechin obviously
  16. Watson appears to be transfer listed or available for loan, unless Kidd is going out can't see us adding another right back. He is to my memory very much like Muirhead in a centre half turned right back, sure he was subbed injured against us for St Mirren a couple seasons ago after Hippo roasted him. St Mirren appear to be greetin for a right back, Kidd played under Fowler being our only hope to get rid. Luton must be keen and know we will be easier to deal with now rather than a few week ago, after all with one interested party, it scraps the formula fee set and no doubt, we will settle for £s and add ons
  17. Injury prone, tho I think his previous clubs do like him as a player (maybe not St Johnstone with 3 league starts in a year) but highlight his injury spells as his downfall
  18. I'd guess to provide evidence that you are a concession
  19. Memory isn't that sharp on that, I remember the handball but which game it was is lost on me. I just recall it was 5 at the back, one of Yogi's double six rolls with his management decisions, lose a game and he tried to throw another double six. I also recall the hot water in the toilets was like a boiled kettle temperature, that made no difference to the result tho I got hounded a few week ago for seemingly jinxing our chances of winning the upcoming game by stating we hadn't lost at your new ground, yet hadn't won a league opener since 2007, dunno if that counts as Gretna are gone !!!
  20. We scored later on in the game to snatch a draw if its the game I think your thinking on, Yogi had his experimental five at the back, changed to four and we got a late penalty after Dornan scoring his second
  21. I'll be disappointed if we dont pain your lot with a second 5 scudding of the season......
  22. Time will tell but his performance on Saturday was very much like last seasons, tho Caley werent really that good either.... Still think he'll get double figures, an a lot o teams would take that
  23. One late drunkiness nite in from pub, I did my usual put on you tube on tv, and search Falkirk Fc and watched some of our you tube stuff. I noticed that the goals he scored at first were the ones he wasnt latter on with us, he did seem more sharper a couple of year ago. I still think he will reach double figures in goals for them tho, decent striker for us tho but perhaps we may have drained out the best he has left at this level.
