Just back home after the game. It was a mad game, actually a really great watch (apart from our defending). Decent enough result given that this is basically the Z team, and I will be pretty happy if I don’t see this combination of players again. Individually we can probably withstand one or two drop offs, with the exception of the goalkeeper, and the stronger players can cope but significant changes and we see the weaknesses. The Norwegian no 22, Bobb, is a great player. We spent a fair amount of time watching him slice through the midfield with ease.

I can see Clarke is trying to give some game time to everyone here, since he can afford to and it means that he gets a good look at them. That is a fucking horrendous line-up though. This is going to hurt my eyes.

Disappointed as I wanted to see Haaland and Odegaard in the flesh but I suppose it’s better for our chances of winning.

I think Patterson would do better if he were playing more at Everton. He’s not a bad player but I think he’s one that needs a game or two to get back to his best if he has been out.

I’m alright with a point, we were rubbish but that late equaliser rescued it a bit. Can’t deny the thought of Haaland v Zander Clark on Sunday make me feel a bit sick.

Neither wonder VAR struggles, the amount of people trying to defend Rashford and saying it’s not a red. If people can’t agree on fairly clear challenges like that, the refs have no chance of getting folk in the game to accept decisions, especially when they go against them.
