  1. Just got back home.

That was the worst game I’ve watched since the last time we played Northern Ireland. It was also fucking freezing, also like the last time we played Northern Ireland. I am sensing a pattern and I hope we learnt our lesson which is to never play those boring c***s again.

Well if we are going to have a shit patch, then I don’t mind it being now, as long as we can get out of soon, at least in time for Germany.

I didn’t think we were awful but when we had the ball at the back, the movement from the forward players was poor, more than once Tierney, Gilmour, Patterson etc had the ball and no real options.

N Ireland tackles were shocking and I hope Robertson isn’t as badly injured as he looked.

The general reaction to last night's friendly is actually mind-boggling.  The criticism of individual players and manager is beyond nonsensical. As a 66 year old I've seen Scotland hitting relative highs but more commonly witnessed absolute drivel. I know of players who did not want to be selected, players who've called off for no genuine reason and players who went through the motions on the pitch. Anyone having a pop at the current set up needs to take a reality check and understand where we have come from. This squad will give everything they have to succeed,  if it's not enough so be it but it won't be because they don't care. Whilst I wouldn't have welcomed a 4 -0 defeat we need to get it in context. Identifying issues is the main purpose of these pre tournament friendlies and playing a high quality side away from home will certainly do that. I like the fact that Robbo was gutted after that game and that they know they need to arrive in Germany in a better shape. Bizarrely,  I prefer Scotland going into a something of this magnitude not being full of themselves  - 1978 anyone? So, please stop gurning, get behind the lads and appreciate how far they've taken us.

This is the best post I’ve seen on this. Some of the (over) reactions have been mad.

  3. The first 70 minutes of that game were fantastic tbh and so although I wish it hadn’t been 4-0 (which was harsher than it deserved) I am not that bothered about the final score.

Clarke made changes that didn’t work but since this is a friendly, that’s what he is meant to do, see what works and what doesn’t.  Mainly poor Souttar didn’t work, I feel sorry for him, thank God for him that it was a friendly.

Don't think I've seen a team go from playing with such confidence to that.

Tbf I think Hutton was right when he said it was more a lack of understanding between the players when the subs came on. We need to work on that but it’s not a terminal issue.

I came into this game thinking as long as Scotland put in a decent performance even if losing the game then that will be fine but this Dutch team is fucking rancid.

They aren’t rancid, we are just fucking tremendous.
