  1. Sat nav G 75 0 QZ Calderglen Country Park Good luck finding somewhere for a refreshment or two. It's in the middle of naewhere. Maybes the EK lads on here could recommend somewhere for ye ?
  2. Thanks Ross I've adjusted my post,i got wrong player sent off ha. Connor is one of our better players,an old fashioned Billy Bremner type battling midfielder who plays wi a bit passion.
  3. Ye battled for a good point bud. Wi my ww specs on ye had 3 shots at goal and scored from 2 o them. The other was a deflected free kick which looped onto the bar. Yer no.9 Muir scored a delightful lob from aboot 25 yards oot just after half time though if he tried it 9 times oot 10 I'd state he wouldn't do it again. Not sure if or keeper was maybe too far of his line though. Good goal. Ferguson got sent off for 2 bookings. Yer 2nd I'd say was a mistake from our defence,we try too play too much fitba at times and got caught in possession ,sometimes basic fitba clear yer lines is what's needed.yer substitute, mason didn't half rocket it past our keeper though, another well taken goal. As for us we are leaking goals left right and centre playing 3 at the back.it's well known we need scorers but the goals conceded by us in the 1st few weeks of the season is a bigger concern imo. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
  4. We played a Scottish Cup tie at Firs Park one year as Stirling Albion had an artificial pitch at the time if I remember correctly ?
  5. Christie Gillies Park Silverknowes Edinburgh. Sat nav EH 4 5 EJ For those in cars there's Laurieston Farm (Toby carvery) about a 5 minute drive or Silverknowes golf club around 2 minute drive for food. Golf club should have lunchtime sky match on (well it did the last time I was there) ? alternatively they'll have pies at the club inside the ground. (Quickest route from Falkirk probably take a left at the Maybury roundabout towards Barnton junction, there's a way to the ground that way, though I reckon the sat nav will have you going via Davidson s mains.) The ground itself has come on a long way since they used to have just a rope around the pitch. It's now enclosed with a bike shed type stand. It has a large social club,i think there will only be one bar open, the other lounge maybe used for functions, behind the goals, where you have to pass a derelict bowling green to reach the ground. Enjoy yer day if ye play anywhere near as close as against us then I can comfortably see you taking all 3 points. Enjoy.
  6. Wouldn't be so sure wi that one, quite a few well known faces posted missing yesterday in what has probably been the best away trip over the years ? whats the date for the return Shire ww fixture ?
  7. Yer teams playing well and getting results Ross, that's the most important point.
  8. Aye good result but geography isnae my strongest point but I'm sure Gretna is in the south and even has a grass pitch that held up superbly to yesterday's weather as well ????
  9. Is this for real ? You're not wanting probably the most successful manager in the club's history to be replaced yet you want someone to tap another manager from another club to replace him. Yer barely a month into the new season, give the bloke a chance!
  10. Bit suspicious straight in wi 2 feet dal Remind me again which team ye were associated wi last season, don't think it was the Star
  11. Dont think many Star fans on here, I think the last one was yer manager at the time but I won't mention his name Good to see an input from yourself though How has yer season started ? Do you think the pre season predictions were true that you'll be up there challenging ?
  12. Will that be 20 people left standing. If yous are like that for a Saturday 3 o c kick off, God knows what Hawick are letting themselves in for And wi the thirsty groundhoppers the Albert tills will be on overdrive that day.
  13. Thanks Cic that'll upset one or two of our lot in couple of weeks
  14. I noticed your club was £6 with kids free Cic are senior citizens free as well or do they pay an admittance fee ?
  15. Hawick yesterday £5 / £3 £2 programme £1.20 pie and cheap drink in social club behind main stand what's not to like
  16. I did try to tip ye off..... looking forward to yer visit next Saturday.
  17. was it no part of the criteria that some sort of youth set up had to be in place anyway ?
  18. The only thing in my opinion of stopping the Shire going straight back up is every team will treat games against the Shire as a cup final. I still can't get round them actually being in our league, but it's a great advert for the LL.
  19. WW has went up this year to £6 and £4 concessions
  20. Think al have some of that 7/2 (stand out price)
  21. There's a few good sides at this level though I think there is a gulf between SPFL 2 and LL. With your recruits the only thing that will stop yous winning the League is teams raising their game. You will be the team everyone wants to beat in this league imo especially from where you've came from ?
  22. Didn't realise yer game v Rangers was on bt sport. That'll give yer finances a wee boost.
  23. Would be a good signing if you have, knows where the net is at this level.
  24. But are they doubling prices though ? At £120 for a season ticket that works out very cheap and is hardly in line with doubling prices. With the masses of away followings in the division I think some might be surprised by the City crowds.
  25. They are already established and have been for years. What would you class them as if they are not "senior" ?
