  1. To be fair, our first two signings have been playing regularly in the top leagues in Czech Republic and Romania in the past year, which is a bit of a step above most the names that you've mentioned IMO. But you're correct, they could be shite, as could a team of Ex-Ross County players.
  2. Hardly a bite. Was simply informing you that he is no longer available on a "free". I'm sure you've got plenty of money stashed away somewhere.
  3. A few clubs after him. Hence the reason a fee will be involved. Albeit a relatively modest one.
  4. Players we still have (at the moment) GK Rodgers Def Hodson; P.McGinn; Baird; Ferdinand; Kpekwa; Eckersley; MacKenzie. Midfield S.McGinn: Magennis; Smith; Erhahon; Tansey; MacPherson; Flynn: Kellerman. Forwards Mullen; Cooke; Jackson Have I missed anyone out? I still class Breadner and Jamieson as U-20's. Still a few to clear out yet.
  5. I wouldn't mind if we keep Hodson, but wouldn't be too bothered if he went back to the blue bigots. When he's played at RB he's been O.K.
  6. I'm sure your American hedge fund will pony up if Robbie wants the player badly enough. I'm sure £25K would suffice.
  7. Burke strikes me as one of these young players that's had "too much too young". Rodger's guidance might be enough to put him back on track and realise his potential. We'll have Lewis Morgan back on loan if you don't need him.
  8. Good news regarding Hammill. Cooke has been on the bench for the last three games.
  9. I've yet to see an opposition player more rattled than Junior on that day. The abuse was relentless.
  10. Yes. It was a "crazy week". https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football-scotlands-crazy-week-1363295.html
  11. Less than 24 hours. Ian Munro was appointed our manager in 1996, but left for Raith Rovers the next day.
  12. I said that after seeing him play against Livingston, that he should be told to go away and lose a stone at least, before he got anywhere near the first team squad.
  13. To be fair, If we receive the sound thrashing that I expect on Saturday, I wouldn't be that disappointed if we ended up in Morton's current managerial situation next week.
  14. If you hang on a couple of weeks, you can have Alan Stubbs. He's got a decent record of winning the Scottish cup with championship teams.
  15. English clubs can still sign players on loan. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11677/11479467/anwar-el-ghazi-arrives-at-aston-villa-on-season-long-loan
  16. Not in the same class as Naismith IMO. Although in his time with us we didn't see too much of him, when I did see him play, I didn't ever think that he showed enough to become a regular at Championship level, never mind in the top league. Maybe regular football with you, will be the making of him. For me he's an O.K. player, with some potential. However, he needs to bulk up a bit and be more composed in front of goal. Neither happy nor sad that he's gone. Good business if we got £40K for him. Hope he does well for you.
  17. I reckon that Stubbs will play exactly the same team as last week, except for Brock-Madsen replacing Stewart. How he fits the players into the system will be interesting. Mullen can play wide midfield or "in the hole" if needs be IMO. I don't think we can do too much to shore up our midfield defensively, as I don't believe we have the players to do that. The key thing for me is to tighten up the defence. Make sure that Coulson doesn't drift into the middle of the park, and hope that Kpekawa is a bit fitter and sharper than last week.
  18. Good to see that you've written him off even before his potential arrival at the club. Must be a new record.
