Maybe he doesn't want to negatively effect season ticket sales, or is planning announcing it along with some positive signing news? But that's all scrapping the bottom of the barrel for reasons not too. All the chat about a takeover as well creates uncertainty which is also unhelpful when what we need is a clear statement about the plan moving forward . His statement created expectations , sends out the wrong message if he then says nothing . -

That’s the thing - I though him signing was exactly what we needed , a bit of experience to shore up our defence. Turns out he was consistently gash. Conclusions? He was gash when he signed We made him gash Combination of the two. I think the weight of expectations and pressure to get out of the league weighs heavily on the players and chopping and changing the team week in and out just adds to it. That with poor attitude and lack of mental strength ( this is harder then I thought it would be ) adds to poor performance situation. -

Popped in to see the old boy today and caught a piece in the papers about the chairman’s statement- the piece said that long time assistant to laszlo, Werner Burger was due to join him at Tannadice. Either excellent misdirection from our chairman, or a firm indication laszlo is here for next season. Also an interview with “united star” ( boak) Stuart Murdoch, extolling the virtues of Lazslo. I like the quote “ I’m sure he knows exactly what changes he wants to make” Well I’m glad you’re sure Stuart, because the rest of us fucking aren’t. -
Take 0-0 to be honest. We could have been 2 down by half time. Hamilton the better team in the first half. United fought back into it in the second. Nerves playing a big part and lack of composure in the united team. But we finished well with great support so gotta feel we can goto Hamilton and win. As fro Wato - frustrated within himself but that's no way to behave. Telfar start on Sunday .

United are 10 games unbeaten, and have a settled first team that now have a bit of confidence and belief in each other. Hamilton have just got a great win under their belts and know if they hit us hard on Thursday then it'll be a huge ask for united to turn that around. both teams seem to be woeful away from home. previous encounters over the years have always been hard fought so, honestly if we don't go baws oot on Thursday then we'll be in big trouble. I think we can get the win this Thursday though, and funnily enough the dees on here acting as fluffers for the Accies only gives me more confidence we can get that result.

You like it? I picked up the Hibiki 12 in the airport and really rate it. Very floral ( smells of emulsion paint),sweet and smooth. Can't wait to finish it and then use the bottle as a decanter for water.

Oh man, you'll love it. I'm a big fan of Islay malts, and have had a few of these. It's a travel retail exclusive so if you go through airports or are on your holidays pick up a bottle. Apologies if this is egg sucking but the PX refers to Pedro Ximenez, a very rich sweet intense Spanish sherry. ( I'd recommend that as well, chilled from the fridge) . So a sherry finished whisky but not like tradition sherry finishes .( not so much Christmas cake and raisins) I really like the combination of smoke and sweetness. Lagavulin are doing a distillers edition that you can get in tescos that has a PX finish as well. Think it's quite new. It's about £80 a bottle. Demolished one of them as well. Really like the intense flavour you get from this. Also had a Ben Riach PX. It's a different type of sweetness, and I think works really well with the fuller bodied / more intensely flavoured whisky out there. Hope you're able to get your hands on one of these , just great drinking! Edit for spelling , I have been drinking !

Drinking Laphroaig PX Cask finish right now. In fact just finished it. Smooth , smokey, a bit medicinal, but rich, and with a depth of sweetness to finish Strongly recommend .

All things Dundee FC
Reverend Maynard replied to Mr Gandosaur's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Didn't realise that the rent figure was so high so yeah, why not invest and then have a guaranteed income from your own club, plus any additional income generated from conferences / gigs etc. Would Dundee get a cut? Depends how they structure their businesses but it certainly secures their interest for the long term which has got to be a good thing. I do do wonder if they have their eye on getting both clubs to share a new facility. If TBS thought he could sell Tannadice for a decent amount and pocket the money he'd be all over renting a brand new stadium from Keyes and potentially reduce future overheads. -

What do you think the yearly rent would be to Keyes Capital? As you say it's all about details, but currently , you don't pay any rent for dens? ( not at it, genuinely don't know). If it's too high it would be a new drain on club resources? Of course if both clubs were renting it they'd be quids in. -
I'm having that! It'll practically pay for itself with all those bottle caps.

The Storms & Severe Weather Thread

Alyth was nearly washed away today. Clearly the residents have upset the weather gods with their immoral ways. -
Trembling with excitement and anticipation over this! A nice mix of familiar locations and new cities by the looks of the trailer . Just seeing the "stand by" screen in the trailer had me quivering! Roll on December

Good work. You've got some great whiskys there. The corner cabinet is a good shout. I should have done that years ago. My book case is slowly being taken over by whisky now, as we've no corners left in the room. Books vs drams, no contest on a Saturday night!

Nice one!! Looks like you had a great wee tour round the distilleries. Only every the standard caol ila, which is lovely. I'll look out for the one you recommend.

Very jealous. Post a few more pics if you have any. You going to head over to ardbeg? Great whisky to try if you like laphroaig.

How you enjoying that Mozza? Smooth and sweet eh? . ( the whisky btw) You should try the Quinta rubhan in the same range. Port wood finish - absolutely fantastic . Been drinking a nice 15 Yo bowmore sherry wood finish- great balance of sweet spicy sherry notes and smoke. Worth a go.
