  1. I hear you!! Thing is if they put off making a decision they will lose any credibility that they have left. They already look like a buch of incompetents. Shirley they have learned some lessons by now?
  2. I think SKY are keeping their powder dry until they find out for sure that sevco in SPL / SFL 1 / SPL 2 options are finally exhausted. Tomorrows meeting has to end the speculation. After that , Sky will have to make a commercial decision . Given the way the fans have mobilised though, if they try and shaft us, there will be a shit storm of bad publicity for them.
  3. That sounds ok to me! Anything that dilutes the existing power of influence that Celtic and former rangers have/had is a step in the right direction.
  4. I think you're right. I also think the balance of power has shifted to the SFL clubs . Just try getting that past the mighty Hutton ! It's a sign of how little trust we have in the games administrators that we think a stitch up is still going to happen. :-(
  5. [quote I thought starting in SPL3 was what Newco fans wanted, They only want that to take some sort of moral stance so Celtic fans can't take the piss even more. Nothing to do with doing the right thing. Fudnuggets one and all!!!!!
  6. I heard that too. Sums up that a great many orcs just don't get it. Their club is a disgrace, yet they still have this triumphalist attitude. The reality for many just hasn't hit them yet. Hubris will be a new h word "the rangers" will have to learn soon
  7. A feature of modern life is how there has been a complete failure of leadership at the top of corporations. Media, banking, politicians and now football administrators. They are all out of touch with what is actually happening at the coal face. Same old same old won't cut it when there is bare faced cheating, greed and corruption for all to see What we are seeing is "soft power" bringing these people to account. Long may it continue!
  8. Heard this on the radio this afternoon, and think it explains how the rest of us feel about gers. Positively 4th Street - Bob Dylan You got a lotta nerve To say you are my friend When I was down You just stood there grinning You got a lotta nerve To say you got a helping hand to lend You just want to be on The side that’s winning You say I let you down You know it’s not like that If you’re so hurt Why then don’t you show it You say you lost your faith But that’s not where it’s at You had no faith to lose And you know it Think it's fairly spot on.
  9. Everyone is second guessing what sky will do if there is/ isn't a newco in the spl. Until that is clarified, how can they make in informed decision?
  10. Is a representative from Sky going to be attending the spl meeting today, to clarify their position on the current contract, and what they would do given certain future scenarios? If not, why not?
  11. Just to change the mood a little I've been reading this thread whilst under the influence of whisky. It does help! Not sure whether my head will hurt in the morning due to the hangover or the apologist posting going on here.
  12. The depth of arrogance and levels of delusion exhibited on rangers media is quite astonishing. I think we could maybe add paranoid to that as well. The last boycott was a complete flop, but if they want to avoid Tannadice, that's fine by me. Our home support would increase, knowing that the atmosphere would be less polluted by ra peepul.
  13. Someone earlier said that rangers were like RBS, which I think is a great analogy, as the feeling from the footballing establishment is that rangers are "too big to fail". Everyone is worried about reduction in club income, so there is pressure to get a newco zombie club back from the dead asap and re established into the SPL with minimum amount of fuss. Literally, business as usual. LIke RBS, who cares about the big bonuses (sporting integrity) when the concern is that rangers will drag everyone else down with them. I get that. I don't like it but I get it. So if/when liquidation ( termination!) comes for rangers, the gang of ten have to screw as many concessions out of them as they can. Preferably I'd like to see rangers start again at the bottom and work there way up. It would be good for Scottish football, (just think of the income the rangers away support would generate for small clubs!) and would send out the right message on the fairness/ integrity front. But of it doesn't happen I'd like the changes to voting and TV money distribution to be a minimum on letting the a newco back into the SPL.
