  1. I've 1 memory, completed 1 divine beast and am concentrating on shrines and towers (not very impressive!). my son has defeated ganon, got all divine beasts and all the memories, he's currently clearing up the few side quests he hasn't done yet. I also bought the dlc to give him a new challenge when it is released but until then thankfully Mario kart is out, although the Mario odyssey game is the one I think looks incredible.
  2. I work shifts, I didn't buy a season ticket but have been to the majority of home games, quite a few development games and a couple of away games, I also bought a 2017 ffc callender and a Falkirk mug by rights I should be worried about getting a ticket as over 30,000 can be given to season ticket holders, roughly equal to the population of Falkirk and more than we took to the cup final! however (in reality!) most of our support is local, the vast majority either have a season ticket or know someone who has, I'd suggest the % of our support who regularly patg and don't know anyone with a season ticket is very very small. as has been said on this thread, how many posters here missed out last season or know anyone who did? this is a non issue and just shows how many of our support just like to complain about everything the club does. having said that, the club should look at the technology out there, a loyalty scheme based on number of games attended is an excellent idea.
  3. Threads like this make Pie and bovril a superb website, laugh out loud one minute and jaw dropping the next! It's slightly worrying the number of attempts some posters have made to find out the identity of other posters! Slightly more worrying how many actually have found out
  4. my boy has now defeated ganon and has started the game again to lap me!! will keep him occupied till Mario kart and arms come out. have to admit that I'm really getting into the switch now
  5. the problem with a special relationship is that one day they could be the team you are battling with! I know a lot of Falkirk fans have a soft spot for the shire and like to see them do well, which is ok now they are in the lowland league but early 80s and they finished just 1 place below us (a bit like hibs last year!) almost stealing the old 2nd division from us. the other obvious problem with a celtic/rangers special relationship is the bigotry that means they take fans away from Falkirk (and everywhere else) through to Glasgow, lowering our local support, I'd say those 2 teams are our and every other team in scotland's biggest rivals. it's why the aird thing has hit a nerve with so many of our fans.
  6. I know it's just trolling but anyone connected with Dunfermline (and their history) trying to get a rise out of a "special relationship" with one of the old firm is just embarrassing
  7. I think there's a player in Shepherd, worth a contract extension, just hasn't been given a right chance in the first team. I said earlier in the season Austin, Henderson and Shepherd looked good in the under 20s and would improve with time, there's a few other good prospects there as well.
  8. great game so far, like the fact that you have to work at the game, it's not easy!! (this can also be bloody annoying!) it's the first Zelda game my boy has played and the convenience of going to tablet mode and taking the game in the car instead of having to switch off is just brilliant, to me this is a huge advantage for the switch over any other console, just needs some more games to go with Zelda.
  9. Aldi are giving £65 to everyone because it's their anniversary. How very nice of them! Why do the people who share this stuff (with the added "thanks aldi") never think before sharing? Simple arithmetic 30 million Facebook users in UK getting £65 each is £2 billion, no company is going to do that plus the same idiots that share this have been told before when it was tesco and other companies offering vouchers that this stuff is a scam and yet they keep doing it!
  10. Seeing as 1 cup win might be a fluke, it'd be better to look at 2 or more cup wins. In the time it took hibs to win their last 2 Scottish cups, we have also won 2 Scottish cups, which really proves the point about how devastatingly unsuccessful hibs have been for the size of club they are.
  11. look at other small countries, Denmark has had a few different league winners over the last 5 years, Norway and Sweden have had smaller teams win the league recently, Belgium has had both gent and genk win the league, then you look at Scotland and you see hibs fans regularly coming on the the Falkirk thread shouting about 1 cup win in a hundred years and they haven't won the league since the 50s and you realise just how underachieving both Edinburgh teams have been, maybe the way forward would be a merger then we could possibly get the successful team a city like Edinburgh deserves until then the hibs/Falkirk rivalry goes on and on...
  12. Glad to see someone thinks the switch is awful and really hopes it fails ! What the gaming world really needs though, is another console with fifa 18, cod black ops 4 and gta 6 not something that might be slightly different or original in anyway.... Have just got my switch and it's smaller than i'd imagined but easy to use and get used to, like it so far. Starting zelda and looking forward to some of the other games when they come out.
  13. I know the arguments for the pitch and it does make sense for us and other clubs like us. However if money was no object then a grass pitch is better, it might just be me but I think there's a different style of game on the plastic pitches.
  14. Got it now, read like he was with the icf, not fighting against them!
  15. started reading this thread, is unbelievable! glad the guy got his money back after being scammed. this bugged me and no-one seemed to pick up on it but why would a clyde fan be following rangers in Europe? although it possibly explains his reaction to the celtic fan on the 1st page!
  16. browsing at work, with no intention of logging on. had a look at thread to see what people are making of the switch and seen this had to log on just to green dot it, best post this year, absolute quality. (got tune stuck in my head now!!) p.s rammathingimybob does know that it's not just Zelda and other games will be coming out as well??
  17. Budapest would be a great wee trip, depends on the actual dates if I can get off work or if I'd need to take the wean along (less drinking that way!). credit to the club for going somewhere a bit different even if some of the best trips ever were places like darlington and durham!
  18. Just read "the trickster" by Muriel Gray picked it up in the horror section of the library, only because I was thinking , this couldn't be the same Muriel Gray who used to be on the telly? Turns out it is her and though I wasn't expecting much, the book is well written and a very good read. Only complaint is that it's a bit stereotyped, the white men are portrayed as having lost touch with the natural world, whereas the native Indians are in touch with nature and the spirt world. Apparently Muriel has wrote another couple of books so i'll be looking out for them.
  19. was sold out last night when I went to get one, however every cloud has a silver lining as when I spoke to my ex wife about the switch (it's for the wean as well as me!) she said she can get a 10% discount on switch and Zelda that'll save me £30 odd pound hopefully be able to pick one up today.
  20. I have to say that I don't know the financial ins and outs of the stadium deal but if we're £400000 a year extra for the stadium then surely that's unsubstainable for a club our size? just 2 or 3 seasons of a slump, no cup run and crowds down to 2000 mark and we'd be bankrupt or close to it. is anyone at the club trying to do anything about the stadium deal as it seems seriously unfair to us? when the south stand got built, considering the amount of free publicity we should get a huge discount not just time to pay back the cost (might be my memory but was it not implied in the press at the time that the south stand was getting built for us at no cost to the club as the guy was a huge fan?)
  21. i'm off to get one, i realise there's only zelda (such a hardship, lol) but i'm looking forward to the mario odyssey game, that looks great. i can only hope smyths don't look to closely at my "i'm under 10" i.d (basically a badge off a birthday card!) anyway, away for a shave before i drive up for console, will give zelda a review in a few days.
  22. We're terrible being behind a hibs team that rubbish they could only put 4th top hearts out the cup over 2 games, murder team so hibs are!! I'm surprised Dumbarton and ayr have any points at all as they are part time and so can be written off and patronised by our support, same goes for any team with a smaller budget meaning we should be miles in front of morton but obviously budgets don't count for teams above us like utd or hibs who we should be competing with! Any signings are terrible so blame the manager, again ignore any evidence to the contrary like Craigen improving with a run in the team or Austin looking a player now he's recovered from injury. It's amazing how people ignore results like st mirren last night or Dumbarton beating utd, that show this is a competitive tight league and highlight any slips we make to slaughter the players and manager. I'll say it again, we'll have good and bad games and performances this season but we're still right in the hunt and could go up, the negativity on here is shocking (not as bad as 1 f was though) COYB
  23. Moaning about cutting the sugar in irn bru, sure the same folk wouldn't complain and still buy it if it were double the price due to a sugar tax!!
  24. Been looking at this thread, surely everyone on nights out in Perth and Dundee can't be that horrendous?? There's should be a stunning club photos thread to even things up!
  25. If we're going all nostalgic for the bad games, I remember being 4 down to alloa at home in the league cup and everyone singing away in the choir, was a great atmosphere, we got back to 4-2 as well. You mind the good games and atmospheres, there were plenty quiet days and rotten days as well, you look back with navy blue coloured glasses on!!
