  1. If we're going all nostalgic for the bad games, I remember being 4 down to alloa at home in the league cup and everyone singing away in the choir, was a great atmosphere, we got back to 4-2 as well. You mind the good games and atmospheres, there were plenty quiet days and rotten days as well, you look back with navy blue coloured glasses on!!
  2. Sack the development team, all the coaches and the board, just not good enough! Quite simply any falkirk team that doesn't win 100% of their games while looking like Barcelona must go. 1st team and Houston must go to, again even though we should make the play offs and have every chance, we're not winning every game while looking like bayern munich and shock, horror...have lost a cup game. Last year's play off games v killie seem to have brainwashed large portions of our support, they now seem able to ignore any premiership teams having bad results against lower league teams and seem to think the lower part of the top league is full of unbeatable super teams! Last season was incredible one of our best, we haven't been near that this year but the reaction here (and on the Facebook page) is over the top. I look at the check list on here, young manager, new manager if things go wrong...and wonder why st mirren aren't on a 20 game unbeaten streak to the top of the league!! If we go up through the play offs then brilliant, if not Houston will go but he deserves the chance to see the whole season through. COYB. (I know i'll get the "we're rubbish etc.." type comments but the teams around us and bottom of the premiership aren't any better)
  3. like the Zelda trailer and the arms and 1 2 switch games look like fun in a wii sports type way but I thought the Mario game looks brilliant! not a huge launch selection but I've pretty much talked myself into getting this now. would be nice to see Nintendo getting some reward in terms of sales for trying something different.
  4. This time last year the lottery jackpot was over £57 million!! How do I know? Because a number of my Facebook friends have been sharing a year old lottery ticket, that promises to share the jackpot if it wins, I honestly can't believe how absolutely dense some people are.
  5. Got this message today on messenger, is hard to believe people still fall for this crap!! From Saturday morning facebook will become chargeable. If you have at least 10 contacts send them this message. In this way we will see that you are an avid user and your logo will become blue () and will remain free. (As discussed in the paper today. Facebook will cost 0.01ps per message. Send this message to 10 people. When you do the light will turn blue otherwise facebook will activate billing.
  6. Wid! Need to have a word about wasting drink though...
  7. I remember listening to the original on the radio, seemed fresh and different with loads of stuff from all over Scottish football, not just the old firm, was also very funny. so out of some misplaced nostalgia, I tried to watch the latest one on catch up, never got as far as the Strachan sketch, turned it off after 10 minutes or so. had a conversation with the wean as I switched it off, I said "it's just terrible, still doing frank mcavennie sketches that were funny a couple of times 20 odd years ago" the wean replied "who??" seemed to sum the programme up. was past it's sell buy date years ago, they really need to call it a day.
  8. obviously I've missed the memo saying new year starts a day early, the number of people posting "happy new year.." messages already is unbelievable!! I can understand posting if your not able to get online tomorrow, but you can guarantee the same people will be on again tomorrow! are people really that desperate for attention/likes?
  9. In a galaxy far far away...they'll be singing in the rain Surely 2016 is the worst year ever, even worser than the one that killed all the dinosaurs RIP Debbie Reynolds and the dinosaurs gbnf x.
  10. sometimes I look online and think how lucky folk didn't run about taking photos and video clips all over the place like they can now with mobile phones. then I see something like this thread and wish folk had been able to take photos as easily as they can now, brilliant thread to look at . good to see the Falkirk support at kilbowie but from the away end
  11. So many carrie fisher posts on facebook there was "no not carrie" "gtf 2016" and other similar quotes plus one friend who actually said "I bet every famous person can't wait for the bells on Saturday..."
  12. Being shared on my Facebook now a tax scam. How stupid would you need to be to fall for a scam where HRMC want paid in shop vouchers? Imagine the phone call "you owe us £100 in tax, you'll be arrested immediately if you don't give us £50 in next and £50 in argos vouchers...
  13. got to say it but the last 2 pages of this thread just sums up this forum for me. from djchapsticks more serious rant to the glass engraving that really made me laugh, then onto the above photo, just brilliant stuff
  14. guy at work was 40 a day a few years ago, was costing him around £5000 a year. I was always amazed how smokers could find money for their fags. the other thing that always amazed me about smokers is how they would fool themselves to excuse their smoking like "auld Jeanie round the corner smoked 60 a day and lived till she was 85 while ian was fit as a fiddle, never smoke or drank but dropped down deid while jogging, he was only 28..." smoke all you want then, that'll show them doctors!! or as you see on this thread, smokers telling themselves (a few ex smokers still saying this as well) that smoking looks or is cool....it really isn't, not by a long way and that's not even going into the smell or taste it leaves. it's the 1 thing I'm glad I never started, as I've seen mates who have tried and tried to give up but it's an incredibly addictive habit.
  15. I absolutely hate the look at me i'm giving to charity posts. "I'm not giving cards this Xmas, i'm donating to..." if you are donating to charity then great, no need to tell everyone to try and make yourself look good! add this tag a mate crap and Facebook is seriously annoying right now.
  16. Didn't make u 20s game tonight, be interesting to hear what anyone thinks of it? Austin scoring again, seems to be developing well despite being written off by some desperate to prove Houston's signings are rubbish!
  17. Interesting to note we won't have a cup run this season. Could you also use your psychic abilities to say what the draw for the Scottish will be, along with the scores as i'd like to pop along to the bookies and win a few hundred thousand, thanks in advance for the help!!
  18. Does anyone know how many appeals we have had since they started and what percentage we have won?
  19. Great result, we didn't look as good without Austin and Henderson but still played well. I think i'd give Grant a week or 2 before bringing him back to first team. impressed with Langton and Shepherd up front and some of the other youngsters are coming along nicely .
  20. Austin looks good in the development games as a fair few of our young players do. from what i've seen of Austin he'll be a great signing for us and if he wasn't injured i'd have him in the 1st team or at least on the bench.
  21. If 97% of people won't share this.....then how come my timeline is always full of this sort of crap!! Normally raising awareness for illnesses no-one has heard of, like cancer or depression!! Interesting fact, the donkey sanctuary as a charity get more in donations a year than the samaritans. maybe next time you see someone "raising awareness" or "the black dog is real" posts, point this out to them and let them know that actually donating money or volunteering is maybe better than posting on Facebook ! So many people going look at me, i'm so great, without really doing anything.
  22. Will get for zelda and hope Nintendo can make a success of this. The market needs something different, consoles just having better graphics and processing power with minor tweeks every year to fifa as it goes to 15/16/17/18 etc doesn't excite anyone!
  23. Glad i'm not alone thinking this, he'd make a brilliant Halloween costume! Played sun/moon demo and enjoyed it. Is it wrong to buy my son the game for his birthday then use his game?
  24. Thought we started well tonight but didn't play as well as we have been. The under 20's really do look good, with some real promising players coming through.
  25. I like king as an author, very readable but would agree he struggles with endings in a lot of his books. My last book read is Jane Austin's Mansfield Park (a change from my usual sci-fi/horror books) it's well written but the thing that struck me while reading it, is that from a modern day perspective how boring life must've been back then for a young adult of that class, obviously someone working 14 hours a day down the mines would have a different experience though. The main character is an absolute doormat, spending the entire novel being afraid to say almost anything to anyone! There is an scandal/affair that'd be next to nothing these days and the ending (without giving to much of a 150 year old novel away!) shows how family values have changed as it'd be more of a talking point/scandal than the one in the novel. Worth a read if you fancy a change of pace from more modern books.
