  1. Pretty sure all communications Worldwide on commercial aircraft have to be done in English.
  2. What did Adam do with the rest of the sheep? Asking on behalf of the RSPCA.
  3. Yeh fair play to Bennett. He's still one behind a broken clock today though.....
  4. What about your waist, arse & nether regions with trousers?
  5. Presuming I'm not being whooshed here but I never knew that. Doesn't explain why the language surrounding the trouser hasn't evolved with them though.
  6. Why is a shirt two arms by that token?
  7. Not sure if this has been discussed on P&B before but why do trousers get called "a pair"? Gloves, socks, shoes I get as there's 2 of each but trousers? Pants too actually!
  8. My South African cousin found a black mamba snake in his tent when he was working to install drainage in the bush in Botswana. Not a euph.
  9. @Adam been taking culinary tips from @1320Lichtie?
  10. I'm beginning to think you have something for Japanese schoolgirls, Throbber.
  11. My wife nagged me into going to the ear/nose/throat clinic today after having about a dozen nose bleeds in the last week, convinced it was something serious. This assertion was reinforced to her by me having never had one previously in my life. Anyway, it was just a punctured blood vessel probably caused by to much picking on my behalf. The treatment for which was to basically clamp the wound with electric tweezers and heat seal it shut. f**k me it was uncomfortable. There were 3 assistants holding me down for the procedure!
  12. Cheers guys for your kind and positive words of support. Appreciated. PS - I'm old enough to remember the TV show, Chips! Love my aviator shades
  13. Thanks mate. Appreciate it. Thanks! It means Cherry blossom in Japanese.
  14. Don't worry HSF, nobody knows what to say really. Normal everyday conversation is a welcome distraction to be honest. Sakura's doing well in spite of the treatment, laughing and giggling every day. Close to walking and talking too! Just your typical 10 month old girl really.
  15. Cheers mate. You just have to break it down into little steps Iike 1 chemotherapy cycle or 1 day of radiotherapy at a time otherwise you get swamped by the enormity of what Sakura is dealing with. You almost have to trick your mind of reality. No other way really.
  16. Just a wee update on my daughters treatment. (Sorry for the long winded post) We received the molecular testing results of the tumour back from Tokyo in January which unfortunately told us that it wasn't wilms tumour as the favourability tests suggested but rhabdoid tumour of the kidney which is far more aggressive and the statistics make grim reading. Sakura's treatment was immediately changed to 30 weeks of chemotherapy and 7 days of radiotherapy. She's just finishing cycle 3 of chemotherapy (cycle = 3 weeks) and completed the radiotherapy last Tuesday. She's doing well in spite of her white blood cell count hitting the floor for about 10 days every cycle which has resulted in 4 blood & platelet transfusions to date. Recent MRI & CT Scans have shown no metastases (relapse) which is good news. We're currently living in the hospital which whilst isn't ideal it's good that we're all together for each other. One step at a time continues to be the way forward for us here. Gambatte as they say in Japan! The outdoor pic is from 3 weeks ago when we were allowed to take Sakura home for 2 days before her 3rd chemotherapy cycle & radiotherapy started.....was nice to feel normal again!
