  1. I jumped ship on the entire Country mate! My Mum & Dad still go on occasion though.
  2. A "blip" which the Club should have built upon, not unlike the Cup win. Anyway, St Johnstone moving to McDiarmid made sense at the time when hooliganism was still an issue and Councils didn't essentially want fans in town as well as out of town supermarkets & retail parks being in fashion. The demographics of football fans has changed to where you'd expect town & City centre businesses to be fighting to have their Clubs located centrally in order to capitalise on the trade.
  3. Facts can't be compared to the 70/80's when Saints were 1. part time & 2. yo-yoing between the divisions. Since 1990 St Johnstone have been full time and predominantly a top flight Club.
  4. Hopefully that continues but that could be just down to the fixtures so far. Better to look at the season as a whole I'd say.
  5. By the same token, nearly every Club has seen their crowds surge since 2012......St Johnstone, despite their first ever trophy and regular top 6 finishes have seen theirs decrease. I'm not slagging off Saints here. I'm from Perth originally and want to see them do well.
  6. St Johnstone pre Geoff Brown were verging on bankruptcy and playing part time at the wrong end of the seaside league. The first season after the move (coinciding with winning promotion to the Premier Division) saw Saints average over 7000. These numbers were maintained under Totten but sharply fell away to what they are today......3000. Not great when you consider St Johnstone have just experienced their most sustained successful era in their history.
  7. No its not. St Catherines Retail Park site would a perfect location as its close to the train and bus station as well as easy access to the Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dunkeld roads giving access/egress to the North, South, East and West. The novelty of McDiarmid Park (a perfectly good facility) wore off less than 10years after its construction. St Johnstones attendances show this.
  8. If this is purely about improving the National team we'd be better off flooding (no pun intended) the sperm banks of Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Spain et al with our good wholesome Scottish spunk. We could get @Dryhorce to keep track of everyones progress.......
  9. Better get lubed up guys cos here comes the dry OF* length! Scottish football......deary me!
  10. I sure I remember same Rangers fan on there saying they should play Dado AND Prso up front! He looked and sounded like he'd been on the glue!
  11. That looks like its been a cut & paste job straight from Rangers Media! Cheer leading at its finest!
  12. There's been a lot of revisionism in the near 30 years since Hillsborough tbh with how bad the issue with hooliganism in the 70s & 80s largely forgotten.
  13. Security isn't a dirty word, Blackadder. Crevice is a dirty word, but security isn't.
  14. Would that be the plan to continue with total slaughter until everyone's dead except Celtic, Rangers*, the SFA and their tortoise, Alan?
  15. Stopping the Colts from qualifying for Europe is easy., denying them a trophy or title when they win all their games not so much. Imagine the brass neck on Celtic or Rangers* lifting the SPFL Premiership trophy when finishing way behind the English Colt teams. Minter!
  16. You're not seriously suggesting that "rules" are adhered to by the SFA are you?!
  17. Not sure they or their fans would be happy watching said Colt teams hovering up the trophies though....
  18. I wonder how Celtic & Rangers* would feel if Manchester Utd, City, Liverpool, Chelsea et al entered Colt teams in the SPFL Premiership?
  19. Was it? I stand corrected. I was only 5 in 1981!
  20. Bobby Sands would be spinning in his grave if his favourite chicken curry was served up on one of those plates!
  21. Saw this on FB. Manny hasn't fought at 140 since 2010! Agree that Lomachenko wins but have doubts it'll happen.
  22. I do these days unfortunately. Damn you Japan and your unsmoked traditions!
  23. Just had wasabi, avocado and ham on toast for breakfast. Absolutely magnificent.
