Not too bad so far but we’re letting Dumbarton back into it far too easily. Kinnear has saved a shot so he’s better than Leighfield already. Shame Kabia went off as I felt he was looking pretty dangerous. Naturally, Elgin, Stranraer, East Fife and Forfar are all winning too.
This is the exact issue, we’ll probably need not far off 40 points to stay up with the competitiveness of this division and that simply isn’t going to happen. It would be great to hold out for a win and get the habit back at least.

Our critical problem is that we have, for almost two full seasons now, simply forgotten how to win games of football. Countless dropped leads, late gasp goals against us and poor performances at times when we are needed most to step up (see Elgin and Stranraer for the most recent examples).
We’ve been pretty decent at home under McCall performance wise and haven’t looked too out of our depth but this feels like another game where we might be moaning about a draw where we could’ve won ahead of the Forfar match.1 -

If McCall dares to start Parry again he should be sacked on the spot. McCall I mean. Although I wouldn't be against sacking Parry an' all.
The way this season's going, he'll probably opt for Leighfield.
Get Ebbo in the sticks, charging out at helpless Dumbarton attackers like Harald Schumacher

Not necessarily the team I would’ve picked, Dunachie still at full back and if Parry makes a mistake…

His last game was against Airdrie in the first leg of the play offs. Don’t look up the score.
I think everyone knows that score!

14 appearances for Falkirk last season which bodes decently.

I totally missed that the manager was Gormley, that’s like a Ghost of Clyde Past pic if ever I’ve seen one. Although I didn’t mind Gormley during his time with the club, one of the better players IIRC.

Another of the Duffster’s merry crew signs on the merry go round of Scottish football

Picture of Ballantyne with a scarf in training gear at Airdrie's stadium - so have we managed to change our training arrangements back to something more conventional than Mondays and Wednesdays at Stenny? If so, that's like a new signing in and of itself.
Think I read on the owners forum that we were now training there on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Think I remember reading elsewhere you get five - King, McGinn, Leslie, Allan and Ballantyne - so any GK would have to be a free agent now.

I'd love a goalkeeper.
FWIW, the past week has convinced me we need another midfield option as we struggle if Cuddihy or Grant is out.
Ding ding ding!
I believe this is the chap previously with the F at Montrose in which a case he was a good player in a good team. Would certainly be a strong addition, but will it be enough if we can’t keep the door shut at the back?

A goalkeeper, a goalkeeper, my kingdom for a goalkeeper

Garcia’s putting hasn’t improved anyway, he also seems to be using something that looks like a BlackBerry with a shaft on it

I’m giving LIV a proper go for the first time with Pebble being canned for the day and nothing else really on. Still find it quite boring, difficult to put the finger on why, maybe the crowds and the course being a bit dull.
Also the team scoring thing is still quite difficult to understand for a new viewer, Mickelson’s team seem to be many shots over par but sticking around E for the team event?

Conceding the goal almost instantly after scoring first was the classic Clyde moment this season. The early goal giving us momentum and then totally popped moments later and back to square one. I don’t think a single Clyde fan thought we were holding on in that last quarter tonight because we’ve seen plenty of examples - Stranraer away being among the worst.

Yeah we’re humped now. It’s a seven point gap but both Elgin and Forfar will pick up points between now and the end of the season so we’re going to need around 15 points minimum. We’ve won two games all season - only one since McCall came in and we nearly bottled that as well - so that level in form just isn’t coming.

I’ll start digging out the driving direction for Caley Braves now. If you don’t win games, you don’t stay up - simple as that.

I remember him being quite decent a few seasons ago on loan from Livi? Maybe lost his way a touch so hopefully can rekindle that.

Pavon, Hojgaard and Hitsatsune all look like they are making the transition to the PGAT with ease. Stating the obvious but Bob needs a good week to get his confidence up. Maybe he'll do something random like contend at / win the Players!
Pavon looks like he’s about to win the Farmers here which shows what can be done for Bob as he was a solid DPWT player for years who had a good year and is now about to cash in on a good week in the States. As said, his putting was already a major weakness and it is one which will be even more harshly punished over there with those courses.

Meanwhile Meronk off to LIV by all accounts. I think he was raging at missing out on an RC pick and never really got over it so something like this was always on the cards. It’s a shame to some extent that one of the DP cards for the PGAT has went to a guy who didn’t play an event (or did he play Sony?) before jumping ship. The other Hojgaard would have been in IIRC.

Almost as if all of the Billy Big Bollocks talk was a little optimistic for a team sitting at the bottom of the league
This very question about how hard it is to get players in January was raised and pretty much dismissed at the Q&A but here we are and funnily enough, other teams also like to sign players in January too…
Getting King back should at least be a start to the conversation and then go from there because the squad now - despite improved performances - will still be sending us in one direction.

A piping hot transfer rumour here, take it with whichever level of salt you wish:

Nah, not when he’s only 15 wins off the NFL win record.
I think our Atlanta correspondent might have cracked their plan tbh. Put Belichick in a fairly weak division, find the answer at QB (Fields, Cousins, draft etc) and take advantage of their talented players on offense. That could easily be a playoff team.

Ross Forbes doesn’t have fabulous attributes for a full back ngl - running for example.

Far from a vintage half that, you can see our lack of quality on the ball and as much as hold up play isn’t Allan’s strength, you can’t but feel we’re missing him over Young here.
