  1. I agree, why claim to be something you aren’t? Weird as f**k
  2. Technically true though unlike that blatant lie painted on the Ibrox wall about being the worlds most successful club
  3. An offer made for Korean winger Yang Hyun-Jun apparently which suggests our approach to recruitment and looking heavily at the Asian markets will continue. We do have an abundance of wingers though so i imagine we anticipate loosing at least 1 with Abada being the most likely
  4. He hasn’t had Celtic performing beyond their capability in Europe. Getting to the knockout stages of the Champions League or getting us to the latter stages or final of the Europa are all things that can enhance his CV especially if the like Martin ONeil he could scalp a Premier League team on the way.
  5. Your argument is undone by the fact Ronny Deila couldn’t win a treble so the notion anyone can is just not the reality.
  6. It depends on what you think an elite manager is. Many don’t think Ranieri is an elite level manager despite pulling off what was nothing short of a miracle. Far too simple minded to think that a manager wouldn’t move from the top flight in England to Scotland especially if managing a club that is just treading water or fighting for survival year in and year out unless money is the motivation. Is managing a team like Celtic, winning trophies and and taking on the challenge of getting them to perform beyond their capabilities in Europe, possibly winning the Europa League not something a manager could see as a worthwhile addition to their CV?
  7. We would have got there in the start if you had read my post properly The league is the bare minimum I assume, cups can be funny as 1 bad decision can see you out of the competition so I wouldn’t imagine any manager will be told you have to win a treble but again that may depend on the nature of the exit and to whom. There will no doubt be stretch targets in Europe which i would guess to be at least be in the knockout stages of either the Champions League or Europa League. If it’s the Europa then to possibly get to the last 16 or quarters. That’s my best guess but I could be a mile out
  8. How the f**k would I know? I’m not his agent mate If you want me to make educated guess I can but again it’s just an opinion
  9. I didn’t say the goal was to win a singular league cup mate. If you read my post again I said the goal is to win trophies not a trophy, i.e more than 1. I would have assumed most people reading would understand exactly what I meant by that based solely on our current level of performance.
  10. No I didn’t say that at all or even allude to it just clearing up that if someone achieves the goals set out for them then that is an achievement irrespective of what your subjective opinion is.
  11. So if you already know what the goal is and we do that then does that not piss over your own argument that winning that trophy isn’t an achievement? A yes or no will do
  12. Is the goal of a Celtic manager to win trophies? If the answer to that is yes then he has achieved what he has been employed to do, it’s as simple as that.
  13. More of an orthodox old school centre half as I smashed a few of these into Row Z weeks ago I’ve not 2 footed anyone yet though
  14. You’re a bit late with this one too mate, this one was a fortnight ago.
  15. You are a bit slow with the one mate, he was christened as The Brendan Rodgers last week
  16. Even the Green Brigade are in less of a tear stained mess than you are over Rodgers coming back, and their toys are right out of the pram.
  17. With the level of investment he is rumoured to be being backed with he has to keep up as the top. £35 mil + potential top ups from the sales of KT and Frimpong while Rangers are fishing in the EFL free transfer pond? For me it’s quite an exciting time, the foundation is solid, the squad is good, the money is there and this time we should be aiming as high as we can which has to be Europe
  18. They can have their hissy fit however it’s just attention seeking. They have had a couple of weeks to tweet their feelings when it might have made some sort of material difference but they haven’t which speaks louder than what they have just posted.
  19. I don’t think we are in the same position as we were then however we have had quite a number of loan signings when Ange was in charge too. CCV, Jota, Maeda, Jenz, Iwata and Abilgaard all initial loans. The squad imo is better, the recruitment philosophy is also different. I think his biggest job initially is to try retain as much of the squad as he can especially Hatate and Abada
  20. Dembele, Sinclair were the first 2 he signed who were outstanding. It went a bit to shit when Congerton came in as head of recruitment the following March. He won’t be anywhere near us this time around, Mark Lawell will stay in charge of recruitment
  21. “You traded mediocrity for immortality, never a fraud always a Celt” Just cut and paste the banner and jobs done
