Mcgeouch certainly had a lot more urgency about him. He has to play with a tempo and determination to probe and hurt teams. Until Saturday he was fair too laid back in the games. He is actually a decent tackler, again something he needs to show more.

Tough week , pumped in the derby then pumped off a very average and off form Aberdeen. Is it not called natural order or something like that?

Thought Kennedy was really good. Often had 2, sometimes even 3 men to beat but still kept the ball. Drives the team forward and uses the ball well. Defensively he works really hard and matched Boyle several times when required. Obviously Mcginn has that extra bit of quality on the ball compared to most he plays with and against and he was involved in the goals and him being tucked in field more recently suits him. If we had a right midfielder/winger of a Kennedy’s ilk and a better centre forward we could be a decent team.

Totally agree. Mcginn drilled it off the Hibs player, where as Campbell stuck his leg out to block the quick free kick. Also agree with another poster who said Ferguson was fortunate not to be booked for a short tug. However, the ref did not help Aberdeen win the points and indeed had some truly baffling decisions against Aberdeen. Hibs were very ordinary although the deserved red card made it a lot easier for a home win.

Craig Barr is the player of the year by a considerable distance bud. Stand out almost every time I have seen him.

Both teams will fancy winning this 1 and rightly so. Bevvied up crowd on a Saturday night should make for a good atmosphere with plenty at stake. With Campbell receiving 2 yellows yesterday am I right in saying he won’t be suspended for this? I fancy a 4-4-2 will be the starting formation again.

The recent form is really poor, and the Kilmarnock game could just as easily gone in their favour. It was a get out of jail moment for us. We just don’t seem to know our best side 3/4 s the way into the season. Certainly the best midfield combination, it changes every week, and the best attacking line up. Kilmarnock as an example are the opposite. Once they ditched the mad Italian, they went back to what they knew under Clarke and we knew how they would set up before the game. Their 2 forwards compliment each other, ours don’t. Their midfield is settled and balanced, we have tried multiple combinations recently. Ojo and Mcgeouch look too similar, Bryson who knows what he does yet, Ferguson looks lost when we have 3 in the middle. Who knows what will happen next week?

I can safely say I was not at Kilmarnock but neither do I touch drugs. I've yet to see Kennedy in the flesh produce something McLennan is dreadful, he can’t even dribble with the ball infront of him, never mind beat a man.

Changing the midfield by removing the counter productive Bryson and Mcgeouch and going with Campbell and Ferguson and putting Mcginn on the right and Kennedy left while taking McLennan out who was having a mare were by far the main factors. Cosgrove was ok when he came on but looked nothing like a player who bigger, richer clubs will be fighting over.

Cosgrove was an absolute disgrace today. Falls over whenever a defender comes near him and must be as fresh at the end as before the warm up. I have seen unused subs expend more energy and tougher primary school kids. Based on recent evidence there’s more chance of Barcelona chapping my door than him getting a big move the English Championship or where ever he’s dreaming of.

If you think McLennan is better than Kennedy then you definitely weren’t at Kilmarnock and you also take drugs that are way too strong for you.

Yeah McKenna has been pretty steady and had some decent games recently. I’m looking at the perspective of prospective teams scouts and these 2 incidents cost goals that he should have dealt with. What I like about Devlin is he tries to do things at a good tempo on the ball, even if it doesn’t always come off where as McKenna is slow and safe in possession most of the time. For what its worth I thought Findlay looked a class act until his crazy tackle for the penalty. Can only recall 1 other mistake he made when he misjudged a high ball and it resulted in a corner for us. Anyway , none of the above are as good as Andy, obviously!

Incredible game to be at obviously , but also it’s a really really good result for the Dons. Killie have a decent side there on a similar level to Aberdeen’s and are a better side than Motherwell for me, who are currently level for 3rd. Findlay was there MOM until his crazy tackle for the pen and would take Brophy and Power in a heartbeat.

You can add Mckennas feeble attempt at a header clearance for the first goal. Thought at the time it was weak, and the highlights confirm it for me. Coupled with him being bullied by the thumb for celtics first goal on Sunday, these incidents are not going to impress potential championship clubs in Ingerland where it’s a much tougher and relentless league.
