A couple of weeks ago the reports coming out of the club were how we will finish the transfer window stronger than when it started, as things stand with Watt leaving we have 1 experienced striker (who has already missed games this season due to niggles, to be expected at his age) and the only hinted incoming is a 19 year old defender who isn’t even into double figures for games played. Unless there’s some late activity it’s looking like a pretty grim window for us.

Fox confirmed that Watt was left out of the squad due to potential move so just have to hope that his replacement is someone capable of contributing.

3 days left in the transfer window and despite being joint second bottom no improvement has been made to our squad. Don’t think we need to see players brought in just for the sake of it but there are definitely areas in our squad that need strengthened and it’s a bit of a gamble not addressing our weaknesses especially when a couple of our key players are of a vintage where they are undoubtedly going to miss games.

The match reporter was talking pish, MacLeod looked like a young laddie still learning the game but clearly has something about him. I actually thought we took him off just when he was starting to look comfortable and was linking with Behich and McGrath. Having said that if any English scouts are reading this then he was by far the best player on the park and £4m would be a snip.

Now that Carljohann is away I wouldn’t mind seeing us bring in someone like McGovern as player/goalie coach, good experienced back up who can double up as coach assuming he’s started doing his badges etc. Hinchcliffe has been goalie coach twice now at Utd and during his spells we have seen some of the worst goalkeeping performances ever seen at Tannadice.

Any worry that some English Championship team will make a late move for Nesbitt.? Been in great goalscoring form since coming back from injury and without him yesterday Utd get the 3 points. Did he not have a transfer request refused last season after Birmingham (I think) showed interest?

I did say desperately needed in all fairness but I should have made it clearer that I was hoping for some quality additions instead of just adding more shite players to the squad.

Would have taken a point before the game but gutted not to take all 3 after that, poor game management from Fox for me. Sibbald and Middleton looked knackered from 60/65 minutes and changes should have been made much earlier than they were as we were falling out of the game and as it went on our play developed into aimless clearances. I know we didn’t have an abundance of riches on the bench but the decision to bring on Pawlett was fucking scandalous, desperately needed some extra energy to help a tiring team and we chuck on an ageing permacrock. Hibs are shite but have a good keeper and crucially someone who can stick the ball in the net on a regular basis. Desperately need to bring in a few new faces, right sided centre half, defensive midfielder and a striker are the priorities for me.

If we are going with our current formation for the rest of the season then surely a right sided centre half must be one of the positions we are looking to bring in (although we still haven’t replaced Fuchs/Butcher so who knows).
