  1. I think Scott Allan is done at this level, couldn’t get near a regular spot in a piss poor Hibs team, whether it’s down to fitness or health issues we can’t afford any passengers going forward.
  2. We may well be but sadly we are unlikely to be able to match what Hearts can offer in terms of wages
  3. Benji Smith Edwards Graham Freeman Meekison Mulgrew Levitt McMann Clark Watt
  4. Harkes, Neilson and McDonald all close to signing 2 year deals.
  5. Chic Charnley getting sent off for volleying Robbie Winters after Dave Bowman had spent all of the match kicking and niggling at him was quite amusing.
  6. Definitely seen a picture of him as a youngster wearing a Hearts top sporting a Mohawk (not the best choice of haircut when you have a massive forehead).
  7. Didn’t look out of his depth when he stuck one over your goalies head from the half way line. If Shankland is in a team that creates more than one chance per game he will do well, we created next to nothing most games last season (and this) and Beerschot have struggled all season, looking at Hearts attacking/creative players I think Shanks would get comfortably into double figures. I think Hearts may be his boyhood team also which makes you think he would jump at the chance to sign.
  8. Grady is allegedly involved with an incident with a youth player and it’s now been confirmed that Butcher won’t play for the club again this season (and I suspect never again) so the rumours sadly look like they have some truth to them, his wife has apparently changed back to her maiden name on instagram (not on it so can’t confirm if true) and posted something regarding other women being home wreckers.
  9. Good to hear, would like to see him get a chance before this seasons done.
  10. Heard third/forth hand so probably a lot of pish but apparently new keeper is pish and will be punted and we are working on a deal for Zander Clark, like I say probably pish.
  11. Opportunity missed today, started the game really well then dropped completely out of the game after taking the lead. Watts worst game since joining, Niskanen looks lost playing on the right and Benji poor again, maybe time to see how good Eriksson is. Would love to have Hearts attacking options in our squad.
  12. That’s quite a decent suggestion and therefore has no place in this thread. I would suggest Hibs look at Mark McGhee.
  13. Gary Caldwell to be appointed first team manager and to bring in Shaun Maloney as first team coach.
  14. Ross Graham has as many league goals as McNulty (who’s tally includes a penalty), absolutely no way should McNulty be kept on. He may well sign for another Scottish team and rediscover his scoring touch but for whatever reason it’s just not worked at Utd and it would be best for both parties to part ways.
  15. It will 3 at the back with wingbacks as we don’t have enough options for wide midfield/attacking positions after yet another transfer window where we fail to address the gaping holes in our squad. Hopefully Watt is back for this otherwise we might as well go with a front two of Edwards and Mulgrew and just play hoofball. Benji Butcher Edwards Graham Smith Meekison McDonald Levitt Niskanen Thomson Watt
  16. Gordon Petric was very good for us no idea how he did for hearts, Rudi Scakel was utter gash and an absolute wage thief at Utd.
  17. Our lack of signing attacking options during the last transfer window is killing us. In an attempt to win the game Livvy changed their entire front 3 whereas you look at the Utd bench and there is nothing.
  18. Can’t make the game but I hope that Utd fans give Sir Alex a good reception, a true legend of the game. I then hope the Utd team truly fucking ruin his day by pumping the Dons in front of a packed crowd but fully expect a 0-0 bore fest.
  19. Denied a stonewaller at Celtic earlier this season when Clark was bundled from behind
  20. Without doing any research or giving it much thought I’m going to say none
  21. Watt is already mirroring Shankland of last season in dropping so deep to try to get something started because the players behind them are pish
  22. Saw elsewhere that he’s out 6-8 weeks with a muscle injury which is a loss as he has been 1 of the few players who attempts to get the ball into the box
  23. After the first round of games I posted in this thread about eating humble pie as had been impressed by the start Courts had been and impressed by the fact that players like Harkes & Pawlett were contributing on a weekly basis, sadly we’re now seeing what I feared at the start of the season, an inexperienced manager who looks out of his depth and pishy Pete and Ian the ghost being empty shirts week after week. We look like a team just going through the motions just waiting for something to happen as opposed to trying to make that something happen. How Pawlett got 80+ minutes yesterday I have no idea other than the fact we had zero options on the bench following a window where Appere, Chalmers, Watson & Glass (who would have all been options) were allowed to leave with nobody coming in. We have been lacking quality wide attacking players for years now but this never seems to be addressed, I actually think our signings recently have been decent but there are still glaring deficiencies in our squad. Lastly is McDonald just a publicity signing because if he’s not ready to play then he shouldn’t be in the squad however if he is ready to play then why the hell did he not get the last 20 minutes yesterday? Once St J went down to 10 men it was obvious their game plan was to sit in and hope for the odd counter attack or set piece and we are then crying out for a midfielder capable of picking a pass yet continue with Butcher (played well but poor on the ball) and Harkes (runs about a lot without influencing anything) whilst the former Scotland player who has played at the highest level sits on the bench. Our saving grace is the points we picked early doors and the fact that Dundee and St Johnstone are every bit as poor as we are.
