What kind of forward is McLeod? Hard to tell from his cameo appearances.

He's obviously quite small but that might just be because he's a child. Looks to have a wee bit of pace about him

Would like to see him and Fletcher play as a pair in the upcoming cup game, great chance for a young player to get his first goal.

  2. Would have taken a point before the game but gutted not to take all 3 after that, poor game management from Fox for me. Sibbald and Middleton looked knackered from 60/65 minutes and changes should have been made much earlier than they were as we were falling out of the game and as it went on our play developed into aimless clearances. I know we didn’t have an abundance of riches on the bench but the decision to bring on Pawlett was fucking scandalous, desperately needed some extra energy to help a tiring team and we chuck on an ageing permacrock. Hibs are shite but have a good keeper and crucially someone who can stick the ball in the net on a regular basis.

Desperately need to bring in a few new faces, right sided centre half, defensive midfielder and a striker are the priorities for me.

Watched the goals back. Liam Smith at fault for both. First one he doesnt match the run of Sakala and the second one is a pitiful attempt at a clearance which lands at Tillmans feet. Throw in his woeful distribution as well today and he can safely say hes had a holocaust

If we are going with our current formation for the rest of the season then surely a right sided centre half must be one of the positions we are looking to bring in (although we still haven’t replaced Fuchs/Butcher so who knows).

We will be back at Tannadice on Sunday for the Rangers game!

Please consider bringing along some items to donate if you can!

You might want to consider a spot near the east stand ramp also if possible as there are already rumours of The rangers fans looking for trouble in revenge for “Lizzies in a box” in our last game and I think the police may well block Utd fans heading towards the shed along Tannadice Street.

  5. Watt scored 3 in 5 games earlier in the season when we played him through the middle then there was the red card against Motherwell (overturned) and not many opportunities following although there was a rumoured falling out with Fox. Watt has shown previously that he is very capable when he wants to be but I think it takes a certain type of manager to get the best out of him and I don’t think that’s Fox although the majority of the blame has to lie with the player imo. If he does move on we sure as hell need to replace him as Fletcher has already had injury problems this season and after some early promise Anaku doesn’t look ready for this level yet and we also failed to replace Clark who despite his perceived shortcomings was our top scorer for the last two seasons.

I like Fletcher as a player, but the way we play doesn't suit him, and we don't have the right kind of players to help him either.

He absolutely knocks his pan in when he plays, but we are definitely better without him at the moment. Although that's still not very good

Playing Fletcher as a lone striker is a waste of time, for him to be effective he needs a partner. Watt and Fletcher as a proper front 2 is our best chance of goals imo

  7. The boost we got following 7 points from 9 in the league has been pretty much been smashed in the last couple of games, back to being a soft touch with some very poor defensive performances. Might be time to shake up the defensive shape as this has become a very big 3 points with Killie and St Johnstone winning at the weekend. Very fortunate to escape with a point in our last game against Motherwell but after a good start under Hammell they seem to be going through a tough spell also.

    4-4-2

    Keeper

    Smith Edwards Mulgrew/Graham McMann

    Middleton McGrath/Levitt Sibbald Behich

    Watt Fletcher

Not sure what the script is with Levitt and Mulgrew injury wise but definitely think we are missing Mulgrews organisation and would personally be making him captain on his return as I don’t think Edwards is a great captain and without the responsibility he can concentrate on his own game more.
