Anyone heard anything regarding a sponsorship deal for renaming Tannadice? @Fife Arab any info?

If Docherty stays fit we win this league, such a difference when he plays, a proper captain and always trying to organise the team as well as being very good at taking the ball off of the defenders to start attacking moves. Sibbald (MOM yesterday for me) is also a far better player when playing with Docherty as he has more freedom to get around the pitch getting stuck in knowing that Docherty is holding his position behind him.

That was a brutal watch but I can’t remember the last time we got dragged into a battle and come out on top, great 3 points and more like the effort required when games aren’t going our way.

At half time I was wondering if Goodwin had lost the dressing room as the players looked like they had chucked it, the lack of effort in that first half was appalling. Recently our subs seemed to have had a negative effect but today they helped change the game with Moult eventually getting the equaliser despite having a horrendous game. We don’t seem to have a single attacking player in any sort of form at the moment which is obviously a huge concern but Middleton seems to take shittyness to a whole new level and surely can’t start the next game, don’t know if it’s a confidence thing or if there’s more to it but you would never believe he’s top of the assists chart if you had watched any recent games.
A point away to thistle is not the worst result but that first half performance was very worrying.0 -

Aye, Thomson has been outstanding at right back. Let’s move him to the left wing.
You are aware that prior to the last 2 games he has spent his whole career as an attacking player. Not desperate to move him from right back just struggling to fill the attacking roles due to the form of Middleton and Fotheringham.

I hope we go back to 2 up top for this one, the setup in the last game was a shambles.
Walton
Grimshaw Gallagher Graham McMann
Cudjoe Tilson Sibbald Thomson
Moult Watt
After his last performance Watt doesn't really deserve a starting place but the only other option is Grieve who doesn't really look like scoring.
Middleton and Fotheringham have been poor recently so maybe try Thomson further up the park and let Grimshaw just sit on Fitzpatrick.
I head through more in hope than expectation.

What's the script with Docherty ?...seems to be playing even less games for Utd than us last season ,and your fortunes take seem to take a dip when he's sidelined.
Turned into a bit of a sick note unfortunately, has now missed more league games than he has played which is a problem as we are a far better team with him in it. Also our captain and we really miss his leadership on the pitch as in his absence Tony Watt is captain which is a debatable choice to say the least.

Goodwin completely to blame for that tonight. It was clear the shape wasn’t working from midway through the first half and should have been changed at half time at the very least (along with a couple of players), poor substitutions again (to lose a goal then bring Grimshaw on to play the same role as Meekison was is absolutely baffling) and how Middleton lasts the full game really needs some explaining.
Why o fucking why was Middleton back on corners? Thomson put in some great deliveries last game but doesn’t take one until about 15 minutes from the end where Gallagher wins the header and should perhaps do better.

Goodwin Looking to sign another attacker. In talks with 1 or 2
If true then hopefully someone who can play on the left to offer some competition for Middleton

I know Grimshaw had been playing (badly) at RB but he's considered primarily a midfield I believe. Doesn't this leave us without a right back in the first team squad?
Wish Freeman well - a move will probably do him good. Personally I think there's little to pick between him and Grimshaw
Grimshaw will continue to be first choice with Thomson and McClelland as emergency options I would guess

Much like the game at Tannadice when a draw is probably a fair reflection on the game a wonderstike gets the 3 points.
Felt the subbies had a big impact on the game as Raiths gave them a lift and brought them back into the game whereas ours seemed to take the momentum out of our game. Certainly keeps the rest of the season interesting.0 -
A couple of decent corners tonight but our crossing from open play is fucking horrific

The chances of that happening are literally zero.
A pity, would love to see big Dunc throttle Adams

Roos channeling his inner Birighitti

Tully reporting that we will bank a £500k fee from Behich moving to Saudi as we inserted a 50% sell on clause when letting him return to oz. Stunning bit of business for a 33 year old full back who wasn’t that great at defending.

Certainly not a happy clapper, but on the face of it having such a positive goal difference and won the vast majority of our games you would think United were somehow really really struggling to make in roads for a title challenge this season!
Has the football been as free flowing as we would like? No.
Have we rode the struggle bus at times? Yes.
I totally understand for a lot of United supporters their point of reference is European glory and winning cups etc in the 80s but for us that started in the 90s not being the great and glorious gives us a bit of a more balanced perspective.
I'm totally unsure of how we'll cope in the prem when we go up but given half the squad will be away it's a coin toss.
Not sure Goodwin will be the man for the job then but as it stands we're getting promoted with a near record amount of points if we carry on as we have.
Don't understand the frothing at the mouth that's happening in some quarters.
Great result in the end today which is obviously the most important thing and we are not going to steamroller teams every week but I feel Goodwin has us playing far more negatively recently than we were earlier in the season. We started the season playing a high pressure pressing game and eventually we started playing with Watt and Moult as more of a pair and we were scoring for fun, the pressing game has gone recently and been replaced with a slow ponderous build up. The last few games have seen us back to having 1 isolated striker with very little support. Part of the problem is that the form of our various attackers has dropped but I can’t help but think if Goodwin was a bit more positive then there would be a better chance of them rediscovering their early season form.

We finally bring another striker in Greive and Goodwin plays him on the fucking wing, tit!
FFS go with 2 up front and try to win the fucking game.

Tommy Smith (MK Dons & New Zealand) linked with United. Believe he was close to joining Dunfermline but they only wanted a short term loan.
United looking more likely now. Family connections to Fife
Unlikely as he is another left footer

Time for Goodwin to start dropping players who arent performing but I doubt it will happen and lets also try going with 2 strikers and trying to win the game but again doubt this will happen.
Walton
Grimshaw Graham Holt McMann
Fotheringham Docherty Sibbald Wotherspoon
Moult Greive
Watt and Middleton benched

Not a fan of Ross Graham playing on the right side of defence but I thought he was excellent today

More points dropped at home and Goodwin has to take a huge share of the blame for me today, game was screaming out for us to go 2 up top and when he brought on Moult and Grieve I thought finally he recognised this so to then stick Grieve out on the wing was absolutely baffling.
