  1. Sorry for the late reply to this post but I used to work for this guy and to say he's a spiv is a understatement. He's been involved in quite a few dodgy businesses based on advertising and the like .
  2. I think this is the crux of the matter, I cannot make every home home game due to the shifts that I work but if every fan were able to go to their nearest SPL game (excluding those aligned to the "Old Firm") then I think we can make a hell of a difference ! Let's be shown that we are "Football" fans first and not followers of sports entertainment. We can make a difference and I will try to make it no matter what.
  3. I had a discussion with some-one this morning regarding the following scenario. Rangers go into liquidation and leave the SPL, Phoenix Rangers apply to SPL for re admittance and the rules are bent to allow this, can an ordinary punter with a bit of cash and the werewithall to do it go to the courts to block the readmittance ? is there a legal precedent which could effectively block the "new" Rangers from directly accessing the SPL ?
  4. I'm hoping to average about 25 miles a day which will be not to bad considering that one of the group has just got back onto the saddle and is over 50 LOL
  5. UTN I've got a kit from Aldi which has cables and things like that in it along with some tools (it cost about £10) and as you suggested a security cable. I'm not cycling alone as there is a group of five of likeminded idiots. Our main aim is how many vineyards came we hit in a day within a 15 mile radius of our Gite (cottage) so look out for the news on a missing group of Scottish cyclists in France
  6. Well I'm heading off to do some cycling in France for my hols, I've got a spare inner and a spares kit (washers, chain links etc) along with pumps etc. Does anyone have suggestions for other things they would take "Just in case!". PS we are staying in the middle of nowhere
  7. Well back from Pollock Park and it seemed to handle everything very nicely. There is a wee bit of adjustment required in some bits but overall nicely put together. It is a faster bike than my old Boulder MTB and a lot more comfortable.Very happy indeed.
  8. My work has recently started the cycle2work scheme and quite a few of my colleagues including myself have taken part. I've just picked up a Crossfire 2 Hybrid and I'm planning to try it out tomorrow at Pollock park. I think with the cost of fuel rocketing recently I'd say it a great incentive to use it as much as I can.
  9. Yes ,it's due to the shape of the hatchback not the overall lenght.
  10. I am heading up to Lochgilphead at the weekend to cycle the Crinan Canal towpath and surrounding areas. As I have my own bike I thought I would try and fit it into the back of the car and guess what ? it doesn't fit as it used to in my old Focus. So I am now £95 lighter for a bike carrier I was thinking of getting one anyway but not right now .Ahh well just have to make sure I use it.
