  1. Or a Magnum 45 , it fits better under your seat
  2. I've seen that system work very well in the States and think it would be a good idea here for both vehicles and bicycles .
  3. Apparently it's even worse with places like Center Parcs, friends who normally book a week for around £1500 are now looking at prices of £4000 for the same week!!
  4. No, it falls under Sec 36 RTA 1988 ( as amended) failure to comply with road traffic sign/ signal. For a cyclist it can mean a fine of up to £2400 as no penalty points can be applied to any vehicular license. The act applies to all road users mechanically propelled or not. In my previous employment I issued a few warnings to some and a couple of fines depending upon the attitude of the person involved.
  5. As a retired Police Officer all I can say is "Rot in Hell " you racist f**ker'
  6. You just need to look at the headlines in the press , take them to heart and voila instant depression
  7. Yes, absolutely full of Helen Lovejoys , hundreds of “here comes the next wave “ comments
  8. There's an easy fix to this, issue a statement that the rules are being relaxed quicker than anticipated due to the figures and that all the political parties are in full agreement with this decision, everyone gets to claim a wee bit of the glory.
  9. At what point do we stop listening to them and start to carry on living our lives as normal? This message from the government just plays right in to the hands of the anti-vaxxers.
  10. I had the vaccine on Wednesday and was asked if I had tested positive for the virus, when I said yes the vaccinator said nothing and told me that I'll get a notification for the second jab i 12 weeks time , so it would appear that they are still following the routine wether you have had the virus or not. ETA I tested positive at the end of December 2020 and my Mrs who was vaccinated at the end of February also tested positive at the same time.
  11. That sounds to me that the manager is in fear of losing his job, he’s realised that he’s not needed when everyone is WFH and the increase in productivity is not down to him.
  12. Yes that’s a BTP PSU , they will have been asked for mutual support, the BTP have a surprisingly high level of PSU trained officers and can throw a PSU together pretty quickly compared to other forces.
  13. That looks like an Airburst just over the horizon with the shockwave on the way.
  14. I can remember back in the late eighties flights leaving from Glasgow to France full with flights from Manchester and Gatwick half empty , Falcon Holidays decided to consolidate the flights and you've guessed it they dropped the Glasgow flight.
  15. I was thinking about this myself, could it be that the lockdown is becoming counter productive? The longer we are locked down the longer it will take to gain a larger amount of immunity, I’m most definitely not advocating a free for all to achieve herd immunity if anyone thinks I am but isn’t there a case for relaxing the restrictions now that most of the vulnerable groups are now vaccinated so that our rates might actually go down quicker than if we are locked down?
  16. Something has been bugging me since last Tuesday in regards to the new “levels “ The SG has had about 6 weeks before the roadmap announcement to come up with what the levels contain yet apparently they are still working on them? Surely they could have given a basic outline of what they would be last week? Or are they playing a long game ,hoping that as things improve they can say that the levels are much more relaxed than before and thereby gaining the kudos for being “responsible “.
  17. Honestly, this virus is bringing out both the best and worst of humanity, this most definitely the worst
  18. Don’t know if I’m reading too much into this but the local football pitches have just been freshly marked out. Is it possible that the SG is quietly accelerating the ending of the lockdown or is it that the sports restrictions only may be getting lifted ?
  19. Here at the Louisa Jordan right now, just follow the signs into the multi storey car park, the barriers are up and there is staff to direct you to the second floor. Use the walkway to the SEC and it’s free
  20. I'm heading there tomorrow morning with the Mrs as she is getting her jab. Hopefully someone will give you an answer today, if not I'll update tomorrow morning .
  21. Well the boredom didn’t take long to kick in after finishing HMS Javelin, now started HMS Amethyst , Mrs has said this is the last for a while
  22. For me it's getting to see the family especially the 2 new additions whom we have only seen in photos or FaceTime, get back up to my boat and get her ready for the coming year.
