  1. We can give them back Gibraltar, it belongs to them anyway, and they will vote for our EU inclusion Fair enough, Gib is a last bastion of colonialism. However Spain has Ceuta a Spanish claimed territory in Morocco and opposite Gibralter. So there is international territorial problems on both sides of the entry to the Med.
  2. Absolutely, we should have no problem in getting a favourable response initially. Spain with Catalonia may be a slight problem. I just added that to help the unionists to slaver over with 'There's no fuckin way Spain will allow Scotland in' hysterical screaming type posts.
  3. In 2016 the Scottish people voted 68% to remain in the EU. Later that year a poll by YouGov Euro in France showed that 61% of French people were in favour of Scottish Independence.
  4. Rumour has it that John Robertson is so confident for Saturday he's fielding some players on crutches.
  5. De Gaulle mentioned five centuries of Scots fighting for France, nothing political in that, just a statement that Scotland is part of French history and with Independence and our welcome back into the EU a part of France's future.
  6. In The Rue Francois Miron, Paris. Appropriately it's called the Auld Alliance Pub.
  7. We Scots are still held in high regard in France unlike the english. Google Aubigny Sur Nere. In a speech in Edinburgh De Gaulle said; "In every combat where for five centuries the destiny of France was at stake, there were always men of Scotland to fight side by side with men of France, and what Frenchmen feel is that no people has ever been more generous than yours with its friendship."
  8. Aye Tory War Games, it was ever thus and we can expect all sorts of distorted shite from their tory media friends, scaremongering of the bogeyman type etc. They have been trying to discredit Nicola and the SNP Government foR the last ten years so nothing new there. The classic bit though is 'pressurising the European Union to deny Scotlands rejoining the EU'. So the tories have just fecked the Eu off and then think they can tell them what to do. I don't think this is far fetched as it does display the arrogance of the tories and though the report was not commissioned by Boris's mob it was constructed by a couple of tory heavies and friends. Remember the Edwardian Punch mag headline, 'Fog in Channel, Continent Isolated.' Not far removed from home counties tory idealism.
  9. There are many major oil companies operating in Angola, for years Cabinda was a main output. Cabinda is in the North of Angola and is completely cut off as Zaire punched a hole through Angola to create access to the Atlantic therebye isolating Cabinda. Where Cabinda is unusual is that it has a large base there from where all the majors and service companies operate out of, the perimeter of this large camp is mined as the local terrorist group The FLEC are a problem , they did blow up a bus some years back with expats as it made it's way from the airport to the camp, now it's a five minute chopper raid. At night a plane fitted with heat seeking capability patrols the immediate bush and beyond checking the movement of the FLEC. Thought I'd throw this in to highlight the dangers some workers face outwith the North Sea when going to work Wood group has a presence in Angola albeit on a service/support capacity in maintenance
  10. Ian Wood is repeatedly quoted as an oil industry expert by the Scottish Media, there is absolutely no doubt he has done well by his company growing it from a few trawlers to where he is now, but it is important to know that the Wood Group is an Oil Service Company and not an Oil producer or Drilling Company, one division eg services fire monitoring equipment. Wood Group as far as the Majors are concerned is bracketed alongside the likes of Bristow Aviation AND Subsea 7 for instance and are service/support providers to the likes of BP, Shell, Total, Chevron etc. It is noticeable that when a major oil industry development or incident occurs in The North Sea the print and TV media trot out quotes from Ian Wood and very rarely do you hear anything from the top guys in the major oil companies I mentioned. It is significant and disquieting though that Wood Group is the only successful Scottish Company in the Oil Industry, so many great opportunities were squandered in those heady early days.
  11. Should we not be establishing our own bank and our own currency? We had Scottish independent banks not so long ago, B.O.S, RBS and Clydesdale, all printing their own notes tied into the pound sterling.
  12. I would totally agree with that. His first spell with us , and his first managerial job, he still carried a Sauchiehall Street Shuffle type swagger with all the Hearts accolades surrounding him , but since then with his managerial sojourn through the leagues with Hearts. Livi, Ross County, Derry City and East Fife he has matured and turned out to be a responsible and caring manager and in the present footballing financial climate we are lucky to have him.
  13. Oh wad some power the giftie gie us, to see oursels as ithers see us.
  14. It's time that Robertson lose the Tammy Wynette on Brad Mackay. It's way beyond a joke now.
  15. First 20 minutes we had this game in our pocket, crisp one touch passing and good teamwork and then Todorov is injured Vincent subs formation changed to suit with only one up front and now it's a fuckin shitfest from both sides, misplaced headers and balls being lumped forward randomly.
  16. E-Mail from the club this morning advising that they now have live streaming tested and operational and ready for all home games and free to ST holders plus a PPV option.
  17. Watched the Hearts v Dundee last night and right at the start the commentator a couple of times was keen to tell us that these two teams were the main contenders for the Championship title and ICT and Dunfermline were also rans. Wonder what he thinks now after Hearts put six past Dundee. ICT also rans? I hope Robertson hammers this shite home to the players.
  18. The only jail I experienced was a short stay in New Orleans City Jail back when the city was wide open and virtually lawless, btw the two nice arresting police officers seemed to take pleasure in beating the shite out of me, and all for looking for a taxi at 5am in the French Quarter.
  19. It wasn't that long ago that the idea of Independence was a dream by some and dead in the water, now it's a living entity and a burning issue, growing by the day and driven by the utter dissatisfaction of inane policies continually emanating from westminster. Right now regions of england are in absolute turmoil and verging on revolt. This is not for Scotland..
