I always quite liked Alexi Lalas and Twitter is famously in financial trouble Maybe @Div could put in a cheeky little bid to get him to transfer from X to P&B. -
Celtic are a plc which gives individual board members a bit less leeway to drive their own agenda Theoretically as the boards of Hearts, St Mirren and Motherwell are ultimately answerable to their fan-owners we could pressurise them into voting against something if there was sufficiently widespread and determined opposition to it but personally I can’t be bothered

This time they might even have a bit of a point 'Kindred group' aren't just one of the long list of Rangers' "commercial partners" and "official suppliers" they're front and centre as main shirt sponsors first with their Red32 casino and now with their sportsbook Unibet https://www.kindredgroup.com/about/our-brands/

Their goal -3 and they’ve got Arsenal next United had a goal difference of zero two seasons ago but if they finish negative it will be the first time since 1990 which was before Football started in 1992 so it’s basically prehistory -
Aberdeen this season have just been odd Their final placing will say they were “mediocre to poor” but on closer inspection they appear to have swung widely between “quite good to total shite” They beat rangers in September but then followed that with draws against St Johnstone and Dundee. Similar results after beating us (two points from Saints, Dundee and Motherwell) Their hard fought point against Celtic came in the middle of a seven game winless streak Failing to win 7 European games in a row and then the one win being against Eintracht Frankfurt of all teams was very much on brand for them this season There is probably a lurking Aberdeen fan who can address this more authoritatively but basically they had a deeply silly time of it and I don’t think we can draw sensible conclusions from silly comparisons

It’s not that unusual in other sports. Wimbledon has a runner up’s trophy. F1 races have a 3rd place trophy and the whole Olympics is based on three colourful medal even in football we give medals to beaten finalists That said it would feel more strange it in the top flight than in the second tier and particularly in Scotland where you have 10 teams for whom 3rd represents an achievement and 2 for whom 2nd is abject failure it would be very odd indeed

Celtic v Hearts

This is a decent Hearts side but they're not in the same class as the 1959 team
