  1. If Rangers somehow get out of this then they should build a f**k off big statue of Craig Whyte. It was his professional skills as a fraudster were keen enough to get in there and appoint D&P ahead of the HMRC's choice and set this long stalling process in motion. On the early subject of baptism The Mormons apparently practice posthumous baptism so even if you think you're a Catholic or Presbyterian all your life you might turn out to have been Mormon all your life. Possibly the highest profile case was Dutch diarist and failed drummer Anne Frank who turns out not to have been Jewish after all. That leaves those Nazi's looking a bit silly doesn't it.
  2. Because Rangers aren't actually that important in the Grand Scheme of things. It took ages to get round to revoking Fred Goodwin's and he screwed up a huge banking conglomerate costing the tax payer billions, 8 figure tax fraud is a pecadilo in comparison only 35 Knighthoods have been revoked That list includes Mussolini (Declaring war on Britain), Anthony Blunt (Being outed as a KGB spy), Mugabe and Ceausescu (Brutal Dictators) , Roger Casement (1916 Irish rebel, hung for treason) Even obsessives like Phil mac google bain would have a hard time getting Murray into that list of ill advised knighthoods.
  3. That's U2 the corporate entity that are now Dutch as opposed to the individuals According to the minidocumentary on BBC4 that came out at the time of the last Album Adam Clayton is English but educated in Ireland and has since been naturalised as a citizen of the Republic. The Edge is English by birth with Welsh parents and has remained one of her majesty's subjects. with a UK passport. I can't remember what this had to do with Rangers
  4. Ex Hibs Captain and holier than thou Killie/Celtic manager who was quite open about not liking Hearts and being convinced he was going to heaven? Like Frankie Boyle's comedy not everybody is going to appreciate it.
  5. Finally hibs great lucky streak in derbies expired and they get the utter gubbing that has been long overdue. Good day
  6. What the hell does that even mean? Is that some kind of wierd Northern Irish vernacular? "There's no drink like Punch" I could understand, "There's no humourous magazine like Punch" would seem out of was character but would make sense. It could conceivably be a garbled reference to John Wilson's alleged attack which was, like, shown to be no punch. Has Neil Lennon decided to start emulating Eric Cantona, Spike Milligan or Myles Na Gcopaleen? Are the BBC so obsessed with the Old Firm that they'll quote their managers verbatim even if they're uttering surrealist quips? Enquiring minds like mine want to know
  7. Paulo Your inability to pick up on a subtle subtext suggests you must be a genuine astrophysicist Let's try that again
  8. I think you might have misread that. The very last tickets were on sale online only so the wee team are to be congratulated for selling out. I'm sure you'll wish to join me in saying "Well done Hibs!"
  9. Before anyone bothers biting can I point out that the competing clubs only get 40,000 tickets between them.
  10. To describe Lewis Hamilton as having been "cheating" is disingenuous. Like all his competitors he was trying to carry as little fuel as possible in order to gain the maximum weight advantage he pushed that just too far and ran out of fuel He was in breach of the rules but in footballing terms this is more like getting caught just offside as opposed to the kind of breach that usually attracts outrage: diving, two footed studs up tackles. systematically defrauding the taxman of tens of millions of pounds, bribing referees, deliberate handball, steroid abuse. Also I think you may be confusing "tainted" with "invalidated"
  11. As you've presumably got a better working knowledge of the mechanisms of power at Parkhead maybe you can enlighten us If, as you say, Lawell is a mere frontperson then how much attention should we pay to any of his public pronouncements? And who actually does have the most clout when it comes to running Celtic. Does Dermot Desmond still hold the majority of shares? Would Lawell say things without running it past Desmond? Celtic's share price dipped dramatically on February 13th but is was back to roughly where it was a week later. Even then the volumne traded that week was very small, You have to go back to last season to actually see many shares changing hands. This suggests that the people owning Celtic don't think that the Rangers fiasco is going to have a negative, or indeed positive, impact..
  12. Not difficult Given how close to sea level the Dundee to Balmossie stretch of the line is
  13. They were originally bred by the Reverend John Russell a Church of England vicar from Devon. So they're a good British, Protestant breed.
  14. As a minor shareholder in HMFC I'm barred by league rules from being involved in any P&B takeover bid for Glasgow Rangers But my 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier could take a stake. Harry Redknapp has established a clear precedent for this kind of thing, His interests include barking at Dobermans, stealing the food from peoples plates if they're not carefull and leaving small piles of crap for other people to dispose of. I suggest he be made spokesman for the bid.
