  1. Most clubs have received grants from the likes of sportscotland to install the pitch, qots I think are quoted at paying out about 60k from there own funds, with the total cost being about 500k, though that probably means that some of the income you'd receive if you payed out fully will be taken up. I think 60k is probably covered just by not postponing games.

  2. And now Accies apparently

Well there 12, anymore and Falkirk fans won't be able to count them using their fingers :-), it wouldn't surprise me if a few more clubs announce plans over the next few weeks and even if they don't do it this season, more will announce next season no doubt, soon we will be better off counting those that use grass.

  3. My only concern is whether it is SPL compliant, assuming we get back there some day

Only Fifa 2 star approved pitches are allowed by the SPL, which is the kind we are installing. No issues there.

Unless the rules have changed, the spl board have the call on any plastic pitch, doesn't matter how it's rated. Obviously the better the pitch the more chance you have but your still relying on them waking up to the quality of artificial pitches these days, and how useful having one is to Clubs wouldn't bet on it tho. Common sense and the SPL don't go together very easily. Tho with yourselfs and qots installing one takes the number of sfl clubs using them to 11, they can't stay ignorant forever.

  4. He's not saying anything different than before, he clearly struggles with his personnel issues but what would he do without snooker? If he was needing the cash desperately then I doubt in a years time he will be in a much better position.

  5. Very few errors in o'sullvan's game this afternoon, a lot of snooker to be played but in this form few can stop him. Ding also playing well, and the winner of murphy v trump will fancy there chances. Probably o'sullivan tho.

  6. If this stunt is pulled off, you won't be "wholly fan-owned". Joe Punter would only control 25% of the club, whilst the "Pars Patrons" would have a controlling 75%. The "fan owned" thing is put about as if to say GM was some sort of Russian Oligarch, or Middle East investor. So, Admin fee apart, how much have the "Patrons" put into the "Save Pars" campaign, or are they witholding their cash until the 'time is right'?

I'm not sure if that's fully true, there is a suggestion that although the patrons are putting in more cash, the share holding will be close to 50:50 buy that may not be the case, though it may be the intension in time. In terms of cash the patrons (or pottentially patrons) have put in already nobody really knows fully, but they have underwritten admin costs, they have donated significant sums(maybe not comparable to there income admittedly) to the save the pars campaign, and finally the sums payed over the last few years tops 1m that masterton has blown. Also you suggest that gm was a fan, there is enough reason for that to be very doubtful.
  7. I sincerely hope that the Pars survive but cannot help feeling that all the impressive fund raising by ordinary fans could prove to be in vain as the full story has yet to be revealed. The big-money men have yet to make a move and are sitting in the background waiting for events to unfold. God forbid that Pars find themselves in the same situation as Cowden, where the team is run solely by fans who have to accept any decision made by the owners. Cowden pay a rent to play at Central Park and a similar situation could arise at EEP, currently owned by Gavin Masterton. It would be a tragedy if he was to benefit in any shape or form from the current plight of DAFC.

The EEP issue is going to be problematic, but the suggestions seem to be it maybe taken out of mastertons hands by the bank, but this is unlikely to happen until we're out of admin at least so in all probability we will be renting EEP from him, on top of that he is likely to get a decent sum from a cva, hopefully that's taken straight off him by the various creditors of his other companies, the empire is falling. A decent man would wave that payment but . . .In terms of the money men not making a move, I don't think that's truly the case, there is a decent sized group of pars fans with large sums behind them, most are involved heavily in pars united. Unless your talking about people coming in from outside but who wants to get involved at this level as a vanity project. However if the money is lost, hopefully nobody has put sums in they aren't personally comfortable with losing. At least we would have tried I couldn't bare it if the pars community sat by and watched dafc slip away, thankfully the opposite has happened, and the club is beginning to feel that it's here for Dunfermline, for the fans, not for 1 family, we won't go down without a fight.
  8. rebuilding bridges with the 50+ creditors, local small businesses will take a bit of doing

It sure will, we don't really have an option though. The mistakes have been made, masterton has behaved in a despicable manner and the money has gone. For us as pars fans this is where we find ourselves, we need to fight to keep what's left, after that the struggle to regain trust will continue, I welcome it, because it means there will be a pars , and thats what we all want.
  9. Seeing as over a thousand pound has already been paid are Cowdenbeath asking for the full amount again? And I'd imagine that it was taken into consideration with the 15 point penalty.

Pretty poor show from Cowden though asking for the full amount again, as I understood the donations made by Pars fan would be taken away from the money due.

Cowden have said IIRC that they will claim for the full amount in order to increase the money they get overall. The donations from fans will be added to what they get from a cva towards the debt(kinda defeats the point of a cva tho). I.e they claim for £4200 get 5p in the £ (£210) and add on the fans donations (~£1300) and I'd expect them to claim to the sfl for the remainder. Instead of claiming to the administrator for £1900 and only getting £95 from the administrator. so the money donated may or may not help the pars, regardless it should help get our credibility back up a little( maybe not with the likes of moonface tho :) )

  10. Players and staff are meant to be given an update today, think they'll be some form of update on the official site some point today/tomorrow after they've been told(unless our shy chairman is forced into talking by those nasty journalists and the staff find out in the papers) but I think leishman said on talksport that he hopes to update on Sunday maybe wrong tho.

  11. You'd prefer another rich businessman-fan to TPC? That surprises me somewhat.

Purvis is meant to be taking forward the negotiated TPC plan that fell apart last week before they reverted to there original plan but with himself and other business men holding 50% instead of the business guys from the TPC and the fans having the other 50%. I can understand why people are more willing to back him than the guys fronting the TPC, it seems that they are letting there personal differences with gm get in the way, there looks to me like some are willing for liquidation to happen as long as they get to implement there plan and masterton doesn't benefit. Purvis seems to be willing to work with masterton to a degree, he's willing to sweeten the deal for masterton in order to save the club, I don't like it , he probably doesn't either but its worth it to continue as DAFC and not some newco.

  12. £12m due in 30 years means £400k per year - scary and that is only half the debt. Not getting at you but this is the reality of how you fans have been shafted.

It's not only half the debt, your doing your sums wrong, it's 80 % of the debt due by the club/stadium, but the bank are apparently meant to be willing to allow a commercial lease ( I've heard 100k pa but no idea of accuracy) as they know the 12m was dodgy as f**k between Cummings and masterton, they figure getting money in now is better than crossing there fingers and hoping that somebody will pay them in 30 years. Its not the reason we're fucked.
