  1. Aye, fullbacks have been a known issue. Bullen said it would be addressed at the Q&A. I have every confidence that he will deal with it.
  2. I don't believe any of these rumours. The next business we do will be at full back. Bullen told me so.
  3. I think more seats would have resulted in the loss of more of the terraces. Because the physical site isn't huge for the new stand. The seating schedule in the planning application (see below) has: 530 normal seats (there are 3 different types) 204 cushioned seats (there are 2 different types) Which is less than I thought, I was sure I recall a number of 900 seats? I could be making that up though. If away fans do get the space in the new stand then the away section in the main stand will likely become a home section. I'm never in the main stand (other than a spell during covid) but not sure anything can be done with the pillars. I also find the seats a bit tight for legroom tbh. One thing is for sure, initially those seats in the North Stand will be over subscribed.
  4. That's a horrifically imbalanced calculation. You don't specify the income we get but you mention the general prize pot of £500k. A prize pot that just so happens to be determined in no small part by league position. TV money goes in there, how much of the £500k is TV money? More specifically how much relates to the BBC Scotland TV deal? From memory it's less than £10k per annum per Championship club. Most of the money goes to top league clubs as all the TV money is split in the same way. The second half is nonsense as well. The equivalent fixture has no bearing on the next one. You can use it as a proxy but suggesting we gained fans by moving the Queens Park game to Friday for TV is just a nonsense. The BBC Scotland TV deal is marginal at best for Scottish Championship teams. Edit - Just to reinforce the point, if the BBC Scotland TV deal ceased to exist, the Championship teams would all lose <£10k of income. Not £500k!
  5. I was referring to the BBC Scotland guys rather than the media at every game. I actually replied to the suggestion of a studio. BBC games on a Friday night must be close to costing us money with the drop off in attendance (dependent on the away team).
  6. Given the pittance they pay us to broadcast the games, they can get what they're given. That would have been the first thing I cut out the new stand when costs escalated.
  7. So true, a colleague of mine moved out there lock stock and barrel and was back within 6 months. NB - I'm referring to Dubai btw.
  8. A defence of Reading McGinty McAllister Hewitt is the stuff of nightmares. Let's hope Musonda can play and we sign at least one fullback.
  9. I'd rather play Watret at right back rather than Hewitt. Where is Musonda? It's been like radio silence.
  10. It's not ton trooper is it? No doubt he'll be along shortly to spam the thread.
  11. I think Logan Chalmers is great but to get in the team he needs to displace Amartey or Murphy. That's no mean feat at the moment. I also think we need to upgrade the fullbacks unless we're going balls oot if you score 4 we'll score 5. It does amaze me that he can't get a game for Dundee United at this level. I used to think Goodwin was a good manager but Aberdeen has utterly ruined him.
  12. Not to piss on your chips but I expect it is nonsense. There are other areas of the squad in need of strengthening. Chalmers would be another player in positions we are already well stocked. Unless there are a couple to go out (ie. Ashford and McKenzie), I just can't see it.
  13. Optimism level up unlocked for this season... Pessimistic > Cautiously Optimistic > Optimistic
  14. The only disappointment today was the attendance. 1,498! Given it was £12 and a combined event with the rugby team, I was expecting better than that.
  15. Wrt. Logan Chalmers. I'd rather get in two new full backs tbh. I'm not convinced we need Chalmers, unless a wide player is going out we are stacked with options out wide.
  16. Just got home. I throughly enjoyed that game, probably the most I've enjoyed a home game in about a year. I got the liquid football, its very pleasing to actually try and play the ball on the grass. The pitch was lush. Everyone did their bit and as complete a performance as I've seen in a long while. It sets us up nicely for the league season kicking off. Our first three fixtures are toughies but will be a good barometer of where we are as a squad. I'd like a couple more signings for sure. I now just need to work out how to renew my season ticket. The email link doesn't seem to be working and I don't want to buy a fresh one. I'd quite like my current card to keep working.
  17. I think Bullen has been good but the style of football was turgid for long periods of games or even the whole match. I am heartened that Bullen seems to realise that and at Stirling we tried to play out from the back. Hopefully with the lush playing surface I'll get some liquid football tomorrow!
