Just finished, Full backs are a problem,  they are looking at that. The Dipo money will be reinvested.
They tried to sign Graham, McKay and had an offer accepted got Paton but he chose Queen’s Park.

I’ll have a look at some of the other posts once I’m home

Thanks for the updates. Much appreciated.

Is he wrong though? Pretty sure anyone on here knows I’m not a happy clapper, but pishing your frillies at some rooms in the new stand not being kitted out (for the time being) all because you don’t like the owner is weirdo behaviour.

    He is wrong.

People posted gifs and poked a bit of fun. Irony is a form of humour. The poster concerned (who you seem to be agreeing with) then opted to go on a tirade and attack those having a laugh about it. That's the modus operandi of those close to the current custodians of the club. To attack those with which they disagree. Any criticism is from a hater or someone who has beef with Dave Smith. Or someone who isn't a real fan. Real fans don't criticise the club (ever!).

We even had the poster boy for happy clappers telling supporters who paid for their season ticket by instalments and had received no communication from the club to suck it up, it was no big deal, the league didn't start for 4 weeks. Stop moaning. Without a hint of irony, or even empathy for their fellow supporters.

I don't know Dave Smith from Adam. I call it how I see it. I am grateful for his off field management of the club. In the main it has improved. On the field its been a distinctly mixed bag. I will continue to criticise where I think its warranted. The club and the owner is not beyond reproach. On the contrary, I find the cult like subservience of a chunk of the support bizarre.

To be fair, he is meeting the cost himself, there is issues with gas and the land now needs piled which is “very expensive” the footprint will be the same, they just won’t fit out the sections until they can afford it.

That's not quite as bad as I feared. By mothballed I thought we would end up with half a stand or some such. If it's just internal fit out I can live with that. That can be done later on. Were they not moving the offices over there as well?

  4. Any signing is a risk.

This new recruitment model has seen us sell a player for a six figure sum for the first time in at least 20 years. That's something!

I remain sceptical of the long term success of recruiting soley from down south but its hard to argue with the above KPI.

You will always sign duds or players just won't click at a given club. Someone said 7 good signings and 3 bad signings in every 10. That would be great, we're about 50/50 just now (give or take).

It's a polite way of calling supporters who want more than they're getting unrealistic.

It's absolutely used to manage expectations.

As Richey just said, we finished 2nd in this league. We have been in the Championship for 6 seasons (including this one), on that basis we're exactly where we should be. We're not too wee or plucky for this level at all.
