    Absolutely. When we rejected the bid(s) on deadline day we were 4 points ahead of relegation play off. Hardly home and dry. The timing of the his was everything. Had we been offered the same halfway through the month, I reckon we'd have seen Nisbet leave. That said, were the bids better due to a standout performance against Dundee live on the tele in late january? f**k knows.

    Clubs wont be pursued for "cheating" furlough, by extending contracts on a month by month basis. 100%.

    It doesnt matter what the source of the advice is or who its given to if it's incorrect. The risk to the club for extending the furlough scheme for players out of contract at the end of May till the end of June or July - minimal/non-existent.

    I remain to be convinced there is/was a risk. Even if there is, I'd rather take care of players that were on our books at the start of this pandemic than signing new players and paying them full whack from the get go.

    I'd have expected the club to make full use of the furlough scheme before signing new players. You dont have to agree but it's far from absolutely bizarre.

    Basing it on numerous performances last season, no less the Utd home win. Clearly had players looking up to him and was an ever present in the centre of midfield, keeping Beadling and Thomson out the team. Was best captain we'd had in some time.

    The last 4 seasons we've finished 5th, 4th, 7th then 6th. Mid table is clearly where we're at so if the shoe fits.

    I doubt they're going to completely bin off last summers approach. It was far from a disaster although the more established players we signed were more successful than some of the gambles.
