  1. If there is one thing Pie & Bovril has taught me it's that you can't learn fuck all from websites.
  2. Not as good as last week, but still some good stuff. I particularly enjoyed the rappers having a go at pyjama wearing weejies.
  3. I'd never have goat that, I don't know any fitba songs!
  4. Cycling to work yesterday, some fuckwit truck driver started blasting his horn at me as I was going round a roundabout. I slammed on my brakes and gave him a good mouthful, idiot was blathering on about how I was in the wrong lane for going round the roundabout. The highway code says that cyclists turning right may stay in the left hand lane, of which he seemed completely ignorant of. Professional drivers my arse. On a positive note my work are opening up the Cycle To Work scheme again. Decisions, decisions...
  5. Anyone notice that the mannequin that he chose was dressed like this: And as for 'lover boy', a dead ringer for:
  6. Widden pallets did go on a tad too long. The Quality Polis sketch had me in stitches though.
  7. Can't get that out of my head.
  8. Shite like this: Or this: Absolute shite.
  9. Can I have a sympathy card with extra cheese please?
  10. Batman Begins/The Dark Knight/The Dark Knight Rises Saw the Batman trilogy in the cinema over the last few days. Hadn't seen any before, and not really being into the comic-book genre hadn't read anything on it, I'd only seen the trailer for the third one. The story was great and a million miles from some of the more camp efforts from the past. If Batman Begins was a masterclass in re-booting a franchise, The Dark Knight Rises was it's equivelant in bringing it to a close. See it on the big screen! 9.5/10
  11. Why is this still in the SPL section? Any other team would have been moved AGES ago. I demand transparency and no special treatment!
  12. Why is it mad? Charlie one suit probably knows he'll never have to pay up anyway.
  13. From the SFA website: That is it in a nutshell. Were Charlie one suit to apply as a newco he would fail to meet the criteria. If the SFA were to change this rule there would be a number of smaller clubs who have been waiting to get in and are compliant with it, who would be more than happy to take legal action, which the SFA know they (the clubs) would win. This is not about history or stars on badges. Apart from doing as Airdrie United did and buying a club and changing its name, this is the only other way back into football for Sevco. Charlie one suit has NO interest in the history, and any discussions about that are a diversion. Who gives a rats ass how many times Celtic have changed their identity and whether they go back to 1888. Complete nonsense. To reiterate: This is not about history or stars on badges!
  14. Who said an opening must be thrilling? 2001 A space oddysey is hardly thrilling to start with, but is worth the wait. In seven minutes of Ultraviolet I saw enough to know that it was crap. I like sci-fi so it's not as if the genre does not appeal, but the little I saw led me to believe that it was not for me. I'm not averse to watching shit films, I watched Lake Placid 2 for goodness sake, but I refuse to watch the remainder of that guff to keep someone on P&B happy.
  15. Finally managed to drag a conversation about Sevco out of a Sevco supporter at work, where he came out with the "haven't we been punished enough" line. I let it go for a wee while and then told him a story about a guy who lives a few doors down the road from me who went out in his car the other week while completely bladdered, wrote off his car, and being uninsured has been left completely out of pocket. He was injured and couldn't work and lost his job. "And now" says I " the poor bugger is getting charged with drink driving as well!" "Rightly so" says my Sevco supporting mate. I replied "But, what with losing his car, his job, and getting injured, hasn't he been punished enough?"
  16. I think we are all well aware of our history. We aren't as retarded, blinkered or arrogant as some. We WERE Airdrieonians. We (currently) ARE Airdrie United. Your lot may pretend to themselves all you want that they are Irish, but the fact of the matter is, they're not.
  17. Rangers should have been forced to do what we had to, so it could be carried like a badge of shame for all and sundry to cast up until the end of time (In their case Christmas). They got off lightly.
  18. Being honest it was about 6 minutes more than it deserved.
  19. Heard a rumour that the SFL are looking at imposing some sort of handicap system on the 3rd Division this season. They fear that many games will be overly one sided, making the league an embarrasment, especially now it will be televised. For that reason in each match they are going to give SEVCO 3 goals of a start...
  20. I was thinking the very same thing. With a bit more focus on the 3rd Division I can see some players who would go on loan to 1st or 2nd Division clubs appearing in the 3rd.
  21. Perhaps they can enter into negotiations. When Sevco clean up their honours board and remove the dodgy titles, the SFA will remove all the dodgy former rangers players/directors. Seems simple.
  22. Why has there been so little organisation? Simple. They believed their own propaganda, that they were too big to fail, that We Are The People, that someone would bail them out.
  23. Aren't Sevco banned from playing even friendlies until they are affiliated with the SFA. You would have thought Mr Ballantyne would have known better...
