  1. That's an atrocious article*. I'm no great lover of NFL, but he's just neglecting the popularity of it and assuming everyone finds it as boring as he does. * only made it to the second paragraph, but I think I can safely assume it doesn't improve
  2. Plus it's only a 6-month loan, so not a huge amount of risk if he isn't up to scratch. Given the way Barca's results/performances have dropped off in matches when they've heavily rotated, I think he's a decent option to have. Side note: his career path is mental
  3. Before he signed for Bournemouth there were a few papers reporting it as a 3 year deal worth £20m, so that'll be where the £130K pw has come from. This website has him on £100K though: https://www.spotrac.com/epl/afc-bournemouth/payroll/ No idea which is more accurate, but neither figure is unthinkable given the current climate in the PL.
  4. Bayern have had their doubters this season, but they've turned up tonight. Completely dominant performance and could be further ahead at the break. Coman the standout for me so far.
  5. Nelson's pace, work-rate and pressing were excellent, but his finishing was pretty awful. Would have taken him back as he's a handy player at this level, but I think we've already got a slight upgrade with Rudden as he's got similar attributes and is also a goalscorer.
  6. Is Oduwa the boy that did a rainbow flick against Alloa? Worth signing for that alone IMO.
  7. It's not even his joke. I saw it on Twitter yesterday and it was barely funny then.
  8. Only if we get to invade someone in the Middle East afterwards.
  9. Farage on BBC News at the moment claiming WTO trade terms will be better than what we're currently on with the EU. Isn't that a blatant lie?
  10. Lyon must be an infuriating team to follow. They took 4 points off City in the CL and played some excellent stuff in those two games, but I've watched them labour to draws/defeats against bottom half L1 sides a number of times in the last season or so. Some very hot-cold players in that team and you get the feeling they're much more comfortable playing on the counter than breaking down an organised opponent.
  11. Real had two strong pen shouts waved away (the trip on Vinicius looked a stonewaller to me) and missed a couple of decent chances, but they were fairly dross overall. They weren't a particularly structured team under Zidane, but have regressed under Solari to just aimlessly firing crosses in. The title is Barcelona's to lose.
  12. Hard pass. This season has been shameful enough without taking on someone who thinks it's acceptable to drink drive and black up.
  13. Gets a pass from me solely for that late equaliser at Tannadice in the League Cup 1/4 Final. Outplayed for 120 minutes and stole it on pens. Some night.
  14. wut He's got 6 goals, 3 assists in just under 900 minutes in the league and is their most creative player after Messi.
  15. It's not quite a big juicy from the local, but I thought this was pretty good for a GF lager.
  16. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6472925/West-Ham-ace-Robert-Snodgrass-blames-Aston-Villa-loan-weight-gain.html Good to see him back in form.
  17. Interested to see this in more detail. Would quite happily part with a tenner a month to see some much-needed change.
  18. Disappointed that the SPFL have forgotten who the establishment club are tbh.
  19. https://www.footy.com/blog/post/2018/12/04/the-ultimate-discount-football-kits-tracker Really good blog for cheap kits. Picked up a belter of a Sampdoria top for a tenner a month or so back and been eying the 16/17 River Plate (also £10).
  20. If Ray is 'perfectly happy' with Kidd, I'd be worried about that his eye for a player. Thankfully there's a 99% chance that you're talking out your hoop.
  21. Sky would broadcast from inside a volcano as long as one of those two were playing.
