  1. I wonder if St Johnstone would have been able to find budget for Kiltie if Goodwin hadn't convinced them that we were after O'Halloran, with the result that they pushed the boat out on a two year deal for him.
  2. Madness, really. If winning two cups and securing European football doesn't make you appealing to players you want to sign, then probably nothing will.
  3. Lovely stuff. That's 4-5 more than we managed in February. Tbf nobody else is going to do that for him. Probably explains some of his issues.
  4. I'm behind this. He's a unit, he works hard. If he gives his all, he'll get the backing from the fans. As it stands, I'm confident our strike force at the start of next season is stronger than at the start of last season. So that's progress.
  5. I remember seeing him very early on in the season he played for Motherwell and thinking he looked the real deal: everything we lacked up front. He was powerful, held it up well and looked a real threat. Seems that was something of an anomaly. He's been largely awful since and I certainly can't see how there's room for him and Erwin in the squad.
  6. I know what you're getting at, but it's the pressing/closing down that Goodwin wants us to do, which we haven't seen much of from Erwin. I have said before I think Erwin will still be with us, and that he'll probably play more games than anyone is really comfortable with, next season.
  7. Really?! Madness. The boy's made 19 first team appearances across four clubs since we signed him in 2017. Must admit I'm a bit fascinated by the life of a reserve keeper. Must be weird picking up a wage for so little. Your squad generally looks pretty settled though. You expecting much movement?
  8. Attempting to improve our known goalscoring issues by taking a striker from one of the teams that scored fewer goals than us last season would be mental. (To be fair, somehow we outscored five other sides, but the 5-1 United game put a bit of a sheen on that stat.) The point stands, though. Main scored 5 in 37 games for a team in fourth place. That's a shite return. He's not going to get more chances to score with us. Obika, to continue @djchapsticks' comparison, scored a healthier 8 in 43, a return Jim wasn't happy with. I personally doubt it's got any truth to it; he simply doesn't fit our model of how Jim wants to play. Then again, nor does Erwin.
  9. Full banter points only apply if Dundee have signed Obika and he scores the winner.
  10. 500k plus a sell-on feels about right, or perms of that including a player swap. I notice Stevie Mallan only has a year left at Hibs and is clearly surplus to requirements there. I guess we'd not get close to his wages now.
  11. Same here. Bit confused. Is it just private health cover? Or a... Savings scheme for health stuff? It wasn't clear.
  12. Imagine being so gullible a club that you'll believe any old shite an agent tells you when it comes to renewal time. At least this one didn't drag out like Stevie May.
  13. Possibly Aberdeen, I suppose. He could do a job for any side outside the OF, of that I'm fairly sure.
  14. Same goes for wingers with us, tbh. While we are doubtless being priced out of keeping Durmus, if money wasn't an issue, I'm not sure I'd want to carry on playing LWB if I were him.
  15. Scenes if St Johnstone have pushed the boat out to fend off our interest.
  16. McGrath made his Ireland debut tonight. Came on Vs Andorra with about 10 mins to go, at 2-1. Finished 4-1. Don't think he was involved with the goals.
