I think that was what inspired my post, tbh. He really set about Hearts and put a real shift in. He'll never be prolific, IMO, but we've seen that's not necessarily our model for a forward anyway (as nice as it might be to have).

I've got a feeling we'll be looking to Alex Greive to step up into the first choice works-hard-but-rarely-scores forward role next season. Opposition fans almost always refer to him as a handful, and he's probably good for 6-7 goals a season if he starts more games. He doesn't hold the ball up as well as Main, but, frankly, who does?

Still gutted about that, but pleased we have stood toe-to-toe with Hearts this season. 5 points each beats the four defeats we took last season. We we largely the better side across the four games, too. Hearts very fortunate to take two points away from Paisley, IMO. Clear sign of progress on our part, and for balance probably a sign of slight regression on theirs. But it shows we belong at this table. Ah well. Sixth it is, unless the OF teams really decide to chuck it now and we pull some mad results out the hat.

Yeah, can't believe Halliday didn't get booked for that challenge in the first 5 minutes or so. About as stonewall as a challenge gets.
