  1. SuperAlly there are quite a number of Arsenal tickets for sale on the Leeds United message board "waccoe", if you're not already a member you will need to register first here http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?act=Reg&CODE=00

There is a link to the ticket office sub forum here, I suggest you keep your eye on it tickets will become available you just need watch it http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showforum=13

This fella has a number for sale http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=201234

Quite a few for sale from various members here http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=200936

One in the East Stand lower here http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=201155

Site rules dictate that users on that message board can only sell tickets at face value.

I can't vouch for any of the users on the Waccoe message board so tread carefully before you part with your hard earned.

    Best of Luck

  2. Arsenal game has now sold out, couldn't get a ticket sadly, just ordered my ticket for the Norwich game in Feb, should be a cracker! Gutted about the Arsenal game as I could see us winning this, will have a wee tout about and see if I can pick one up somewhere. Good news about McCartney, we need to be solid in defence and he has been great.

Season ticket holders have up until 5pm on Saturday to claim their seats for the Arsenal match, there are bound to be a few who don't take the seats allocated to them, which means come 5pm Saturday a number of seats will become available.

I would suggest that you try again just after 5 tomorrow afternoon, slim chance as demand seems to be high & only a limited amount of season ticket holders will choose not to retain their allocated tickets.

    Best of luck.

  3. I don't support Leeds, so you've just wasted your time typing that, sorry. happy.gif

I'm afraid after reading your intial post I'd already assumed you hadn't seen Leeds pre O'Brien's inclusion, hadn't seen Leeds with O'Brien & hadn't seen the fixture in question.

If challenging ill informed posts is wasting time I'm guilty as charged m'lud. However sombody who takes the time to post Ill informed comment is guilty of time wasting to another level completely IMO.

Anyway time to go 1 o'clock kick off today.

  4. Would probably have been better off without him today...just the 2 own goals.

    Really??

Who would you replace him with Bromby??

1st goal great finish from Nugent.

2nd Goal missed as stewards in N11 decided to lay down the law.

3rd Goal total f**k up between CB and Keeper. If the Keeper had called it as ""his ball" we'd of got 3 points today.

Seem to remember a carbon copy of today's 3rd earlier this season, that time Alex Bruce was the CB, do you remember that game?

I've said before the back 4 is LUFC's Achilles' heel & needs attention however IMO we have looked stronger with OB in the back 4. OB didn't play at Leicester and we let an away lead slip then. Whats your opinion of OB?

  5. The defence has been a lot better recently, we've gone 8 games in a row without defeat now, last home win was a month and a half ago and last away defeat will be over 2 and a half months come this weekend.

So even when the defence has been shakey at least our attack has been strong enough to neutralise matters. QPR at ER next will be a huge test on whether or not we are cut out for the top, last time Cardiff battered us, hopefully we will make it 9 without defeat, I'd take a draw in this one.

We've only managed one clean sheet in the last 13 games, if the goals dry up we're well and truly bollox'd.

That said I'd agree we look better since Andy O'Brien turned up.

  6. Amazing stuff, and yet another win coming from behind, 4th place is great, QPR at home next, this next month will go a long way to deciding who the main contenders really are. If Snoddy, Howson and Becchio keep playing the way they are then I don't see why we can't win this league!

Lets not get carried away, Leeds are in form at the moment but it's a long season and they'll be plenty of twists and turns along the way.

IMO the focus should be on defence rather than midfield or attack. Andy O'Brien had improved things but the defence is far too porous & it's hard to see Leeds doing much more than making a play off place whilst they continue to ship goals.

  7. Was listening to Bradley Johnson on talksport driving home today - what are Leeds fans views on the situation?

Ken Bate's programme notes certainly are inflamatory (not just about Johnson) - I presume they are always like this?

Last weeks were quite mild, recently he's attacked the BBC, national and local government, past owners and investors, a multitude of players, national and international football administrators, managers and chairmen, specific journo's and printed media in general amongst many, many others.

The basic theme is what ever the problem is it's everybody else's fault but Ken's.

I upload the Chairman's matchday program notes along with the Managers notes for a mate who now lives abroad. There is a whole stack of Ken Bates matchday program notes here if you can be bothered to look through them http://www.scribd.co...ections/2467355

He libeled Mervin Levi in the matchday program and that cost £1.5 million, before that at Chelsea he had to settle out of court with fans after he attacked them in the match day program. His notes are a real liability IMO.

I posted this classic from Ken on another thread. It was in last Saturday's program & was spotted by a fan on another forum.

I've talked about e-mails before, how I consider them the equivalent of anonymous letters and treat them accordingly. I recieved one last week from Adam Bacon
    laugh.gif

For what it's worth I don't think Bradley's performances recently warrant much of a pay rise, for my money he cost us a goal on Saturday.

A bloke in the pub summed up Bradley's inaccurate shots on goal far better than I ever could when he said "if it i'd of been Bradley Johnson holding the gun John Lennon would still be alive today".laugh.gif

That said I don't think Ken's attack in the match day program is the correct way to conduct affairs.

  8. As is Robert Snodgrass. And Ross McCormack. And Lloyd Sam.

What a game... where to start?! Total domination of possession for the first 45 minutes, in which Palace barely had a sniff... then scored. Vaughn and Dann looked excellent but that aside they had nothing. How Leeds went in 1-0 down, and continue to trail until just before the end, I have no idea; somehow Speroni was saving most things and everything else was being disallowed/squandered!

    The end was just brilliant.

Survived the drive, went down M6 and back up M1. Preferred M6 by a long way.

Pleased to hear you made it up & down in one piece AJ.

Shit 1st half but SG made the difference when he changed it round 2nd half IMO.

  9. Arab_Joe the road traffic situation in Leeds has improved today (on the main roads at least). Traffic seems to be moving ok, all be it slowly.

Leeds are pretty sure at the minute the match is on, under soil heating switched on & terraces cleared of snow. However parking up at the ground might be a problem, not sure they've cleared them.

As an alternative it might be worth parking in town in a covered car park & getting the football special bus (catch it from Sovereign Street, see link for street Map)

    http://maps.google.c...ar=Sovereign+St,+Leeds+LS1&gl=uk&ei=pRT5TNGGDs2BhQet54jpCA&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBkQ8gEwAA

There's a covered car park at the end of Sovereign Street on Swinegate.

  10. We were going to drive, then when the snow hit we looked into a train but it was £80 return a head. So we'll just wait and see how the weather is; if it looks even half-decent we'll head down at 6am Saturday morning and hope for the best I guess...

The official site suggests the game is going to go ahead & they're doing all they can to ensure it does. http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20101202/project-buckingham-well-underway_2247585_2235429

Best of luck if you do decide to make the trip down.

  11. I just hope I make it down on Saturday, bloody snow!

I don't think the 3rd round of the FA Cup will quite live up to last season's 3rd round game biggrin.gif Still haven't got over Beckford's goal biggrin.gif

Yesterdaywas a nightmare down here, pretty much the whole of Leeds gridocked from dinner time onwards. Shops in town shut at dinner time & trains and buses not running. Still not much better this morning, if you're relying on public transport best to check the service is still running before hand.
