Obviously it also depends which console you're on/what price you got them at, and I don't think you'll end up losing any money (again, if you got them at the going rate), but it might take a few weeks to see any serious return. It's impossible to know for sure, though - things are potentially gonna look very different this year because of the massive and immediate influx of coins from rivals placements.

The issue with that pair is that the demand for them won't be nearly as high - as a rule of thumb, pretty much every single TOTW1 card does rise but you might have to be a bit more patient or cut your losses so your coins aren't all tied up early doors. Pace and snappy movement appears to be king again so folk won't be scrambling about trying to get Suarez into their team, and Fati is a good card commanding some IRL hype but is fairly low-rated - folk will prefer having Dembele there in their teams, or maybe even Carrasco as a cheaper option.

There are never any guarantees with trading, but if you head to futbin.com and look at the price graphs of every TOTW1 card from FIFAs gone by, you'll see that they rise on full release and pretty much continue rising until about December. Ben Yedder, being French, a central player, having a 5 star weak foot and being insanely hyped as one of the most meta FIFA cards of the last few years all points to a big rise, IMO. Ronaldo is apparently absolutely incredible, and the safer bet would be to just hold on to him (also negates tax from multiple sales), but I think you could make more with Ben Yedder and that's probably what I would do. You're looking flush, in any case. My advice would be to sell Ronaldo, pick up two/three Ben Yedders and then use whatever you have left to build as strong a team as you can before prices in general rise over the coming days and weeks.

Flog Ronaldo now and buy as many Wissam Ben Yedder IFs now as you can, as cheaply as you can, before he goes out of packs tomorrow. TOTW 1 is extremely rare and he will be one of the most coveted players in the game, I think his price could easily double for next Thursday when folk are building their WL teams.
  5. Knickers are quite rightly being twisted when our defensive signings have consisted of a left-back who was jobby on loan at Dumbarton last season and a utility-man right-back who wasn't in Forfar's strongest team towards the end of last season. We are looking pretty good going forward, but our central midfield options currently consist of a young lad with absolutely no track record of first team football + Cuddihy (a good squad player at this level, but sadly nothing more). Any team lacking in quality in the middle of the park and at the back, as we are, will struggle, regardless of how good they are up top. There is, of course, still time to get more bodies in, but it's pretty well-known that we've no money and as a result we will have to be very lucky to get players of quality through the door in those key areas. We are still paying for dishing out those two-year deals after promotion to players who aren't good enough to match DL's ambitions.
  6. "Investment in grassroots football". My goodness, I think I've seen it all now.
  7. Cannot believe we have signed a player who can run and isn't Eduardo Ferns
  8. Listen, if only those Brazilians had got their fingers out then we would be flush with cash rn
  9. Ludere Causa Willie Haughey's Fat Stacks. Fair play!
  10. Announce some players who can run to go alongside those two now, please.
  11. Failed to get Connor Stevenson's surname, then Willie Kinniburgh and Grant Dickie also. Daniel Thomson and Paul Mulrooney - what a double loan swoop that was!
  12. I'm not sure why Barry would have an axe to grind with Clyde when he objectively failed miserably throughout his time at charge of the club. Unless we get relegated twice, I really can't see Kelty taking up a place in the third tier while he's in charge. Actually seemed like an alright guy at times, contrary to the wider perception of him when he first arrived, but not a good football manager by any stretch of the imagination.
  13. In happier news, happy 6th anniversary of Barry Ferguson's appointment, everyone! At times like these I yearn for the days of craning my neck and praying that JP McGovern and Scott Linton could pick up a second ball and create something.
  14. While communications since the onset of the pandemic have painted far-from-rosy pictures, this one is the most stark yet and far more ominous in its detail and message. Is there something going on in the background which has changed things in the last few weeks, or were initial estimations about the impact this entire situation will have wide of the mark? Serious questions have to be asked about the running of the club, particularly in these last few years. Strides made on the pitch - strides which have been expected of the club for a decade now - seem to be being framed as "ambition", when the reality is that we have quite clearly spent beyond some way beyond our means to become a middling League One club. You cannot gamble on a fairly fixed-number fanbase, which has historically given a huge amount of relative time and resource to prop up the club's financial performance, further increasing their level of financial commitment to allow the club to operate at a different level. True ambition would be launching initiatives which source external outcome, though I will cede that this is something far easier said than done. To complicate this, you've got our ongoing employment of Goodwillie and Love who, while I don't personally disagree with having at the club, have undeniably damaged the club's standing in the game and will undoubtedly act as a pretty large dissuasion when it comes to sponsorship from businesses and individuals. Achieving such organic growth as a club at our level is always going to be extremely difficult when you've no assets - training equipment totalling less than £1000 was, I believe, all we had on the last balance sheet I looked at a few years ago - but flinging money at improving the club's league standing in the short-term and hoping to get lucky somehow is utter lunacy. Expecting that the club's fanbase would naturally rocket up, or that existing fans would dig even deeper into their pockets, is arguably even worse.
  15. I still play this from time to time, Champion 1 rank myself in Standard which is the only mode I tend to touch. I think it's either four or five years it's been going now, yet it remains as easy as on day one to get a rise out of folk on quick chat. Mad.
  16. Taylor Swift's 'Style' is, as suggested by an earlier Clyde poster, the single-finest pop song. Honourable mentions for Lorde's 'Green Light', as well as All Saints' 'Pure Shores'. Close thread IMO
  17. Happy to settle this debate; Dumbarton are utter teargas and will be straight down next season once Jim and his dodgy knee/hip retire to Clyde SSB appearances only.
  18. Taking up some very good positions here, Cunningham and Goodwillie especially, but the final ball has been absolutely shite. Good to see that Jim has chucked it for the season!
  19. Has there been a game this season that we've been favourites for in which we haven't turned in a largely shite performance? It seems like we only ever perform well in games where we're expected to do naff all. The buck has to stop with Lennon on this - this squad and his overall recruitment record simply isn't good enough, before you even begin to look at his selections and tactics. God help us next season, too, if we stay up with a number of these frauds on two-year deals.
