  1. I wouldn't be against a policy like that to be honest, basically a "fire break" and enough time as you say to catch up before summer. The example I gave above had curriculum finished by Easter but this on reflection would be better with the year ending nearer the June norm.
  2. Still not getting it. Lunch Out / Pint = non essential Education = essential No one bar the SG (not even me) is saying school isn't fuelling transmission but it's been deemed a necessary risk worth taking. No idea why a clique on here are so determined to have the SG admit this, in my eyes admission makes little difference as it's the correct policy to pursue. To be honest I wish they would then you guys would be forced to show your real gripe (it really isn't the fact the SG won't admit it's a calculated risk as Todd yet again illustrates beautifully) In reality school doesn't have that long to go. Courses will be wrapped come Easter and that is 3 x 5 week blocks away with 2 x 2 week breaks which will help. I love how it keeps you guys frothing though yet you still keep trying to claim it's nothing to do with your inability to go eating and bevvying whilst constantly (like Todd again) making that comparison to blow your argument out the water. Schools might well go blended at some stage and if they do we will see very little reduction from it.
  3. Yip the clubs and the SFA are well behind the curve here, seems to be taking them an age to get prepared.
  4. That's the same Scotland wide so seems unlikely to be the root cause of the problems in Glasgow but don't let that spoil your crusade.
  5. Very few teams in a final pick themselves up off the canvas after a monumental haymaker like that Serb goal. A real credit to hang on for the pens especially given the 11 on the park by then. All credit to every one of them it was a massive team effort.
  6. Unbelievable rollercoaster, so Scotland but once just once the happy ending. Roll on June, tickets now actually mean something. Anyone want a spare for Croatia v Czechia while we will be at Wembley !
  7. You would have to isolate in your s scenario whether the positive person was wearing a mask or not !
  8. Over 600m now matched on the betfair exchange market and it's still live. Trump into 10 now with Biden at 1.1 which despite being 10% less a little commission seems to be friendless.
  9. They haven't paid out on next president on the exchanges. Market still live and hasn't been settled. 591m matched with 250k available to back Biden at 1.1 now
  10. Trump into 11 Biden out to 1.09 on betfair. If this is such a certainty surely big hitters would be ploughing into 9% their investment on Biden even with any commission it's more than they are likely to get anywhere else in such a compressed timescale. Or maybe it's not as straightforward as most seem to assume it is ?
  11. They don't need an excuse they can happily furlough staff from now to 31 March. I expect with the uncertainty of the tiers and the possibility of a vaccine come the spring, hundreds if not thousands of small businesses especially in hospitality will now opt to close and ride this out until the spring.
  12. Wasn't that just the 3 Island authorities rather than all L1 areas ?
  13. Two professors both members of the UKs vaccine advisory committee giving media interviews today. One said he expected that life should be pretty much back to normal after the first quarter of 2021, the other said he fully expects measures such as SD, home working and face covering still being the norm until this time next year. Clearly no one has a clue how this immunisation program will play out at this stage.
  14. That chart is misleading. N and E Ayrshire both were given notice they might be heading down to L2 while South was out on notice that L4 wasn't out the question yet that graphic has them all identical.
  15. Miners originally from Ayrshire working in Fife mines perhaps ?
  16. Or you just made it up when on the sauce at the weekend perhaps ?
  17. But....but...Todd said there was a blanket T4 lockdown to be confirmed today....
  18. South Ayrshire is one of if not the Retiral / Nursing Home capital of Scotland and with new home outbreaks being reported almost daily in the local press I'm not surprised it's fuelling a rise. Add to that the number of weekend day trippers still descending on Troon and Prestwick and it's not difficult to see how current restrictions will be having little effect. Also still plenty public transport workers travelling to and from Glasgow daily.
  19. Wording is interesting 90% effective in TREATING Covid is how it's being reported so sounds more like a treatment for those with the virus rather than an immunisation. That might just be a news outlet reporting issue though. ETA obviously significant enough for the Clown troop to call a live tv address at 5.00 tonight.
  20. If Goodwin is determined to play the 3/5 at the back, the width is going to be provided by the wing backs so unless Connolly has the defensive capabilities to play that role I'm not seeing where he fits into that formation. It seems odd bringing him in if JG always had the wing back plan at the back of his mind unless he thought he could do that role but training has shown otherwise. Alternatively JG might see him as something other than a wide player in which case he can't be showing much if the likes of Cammy are getting the attacking support slot ahead of him.
  21. I was taking my wall baskets down for the winter yesterday. Against the fence the wood behind was encrusted with slaters (wood louse) and my resident Robin was literally sitting 2 feet from me waiting for each basket to be removed before hopping down a plank and gorging on the wee beasties. He was fearless.
