No other options when some of our squad are made of wet paper. Need a better plan than Saturday and no horsing it long and high to small people with ropey first touches.

Seemed to work for both goals, though they were crosses and our big defenders couldn't get down to them.

Surprised RR looked to hold on second half when our defence seemed lost everytime they attacked. In fairness they were intelligent with the ball and easily seen it out, even had time to miss a few easy breakaway chances.

We looked flat after Saturday at the start and failed to convert any of those scrambled box chances.

I'm happy to be corrected, but I'm pretty sure that's only true of UEFA's "blocked hours" on a Saturday afternoon. For example, Raith TV streamed our most recent non-Saturday home league game (Partick Thistle, Friday 5th May 2023) on a pay-per-view basis. Maybe the agreement has changed since last season, but I don't think so.

Anyway, if Morton aren't offering PPV tonight that's their right and fair enough. What I'm asking is: is there any way for somebody that can't make it to Greenock tonight to watch the game? Ideally making Morton money while doing so.

Correct and both Rangers and Celtic have offered it for their home games this week on the back of sellout stadiums.

So a bit of an if or maybe Morton can make some money but have to balance with loss of through the door customers not an easy call!

No, it was on the original fixture list, along with our home game on a Tuesday against them in February.

Correct, plus we are playing Friday so Wednesday was not an option.

We have looked more solid recently and while Wilson is generally seen as a midfielder he stated recently he is happy to play right-back if he gets a start. Has come on a lot in last three games, after a poor start, so don't see this being as big an issue as it was a Starks Pk.

Will be tight but going for 2 v 1.

  4. Yes that winning feeling again.

Thought we were solid throughout , good in first half but failed to get anything on target. Ayr goolie was in command of his box.

Started well in second but Ayr came well into it, should have scored but bar saved us, then Chalmers  missed his big chance.

Just as I thought the knife in the back could arrive Dougie brings on McG and he panics the Ayr back line. Free kick and cross onto Big George's nut.

Thank the Lord  ( or LB) didn't fancy being stuck at the bottom. Good effort all around but man Ayr No 9 missed that big pass when two on one.

The rain here isn't as heavy as it was the night of that Scotland game, but it's been on for a lot longer. Worth noting that it's a new pitch now though, which might make a difference.

    Positive comment.

My take and local update, the back 5 m of my garden is under 4 inches of water. On the night of the said Scotland game it only had some puddles. So I fear rain is currently impacting more today than that night and it's going to continue. So this pitch upgrade must be something special if coping.

A month's worth of rain set for tomorrow... F**k.

Even if the Hampden pitch (somehow) copes I might give this a pass, our of fear of being stuck in Glasgow overnight.

If it is cancelled - what's QP's policy regarding cancelled games? Refunds issued, or does the ticket transfer to the rearranged game?

Currently of biblical proportions with local golf courses closed.

Is there a pitch inspection planned?

Don’t know the story but from her celebrations yesterday and some of her previous comments on Twitter and AirdrieFanTV his maw clearly has no time for Dougie Imrie.

Not a measure of Dougies man management.

Football is a tough environment and being told you are not good enough or don't fit is reality.

This does not mean you are not a good footballer but you just are not cutting it.

Time to move on realise you need to do better, try harder and focus on what a professional is and you may flourish in a new environment.

Sadly Maws and Dads see it through coloured specs. That's my boy, oh how good he is , nobody is giving him the ball when he makes a good run etc.

In the last few years I have had to put up with quite a few Maws and Dads sitting close. Ruined my enjoyment as they couldn't take any criticism. Apart from Graham and Tiff few have made it else where and ended up in the juniors.

So best luck to the boy had a decent first half (against our make do right back) but faded later on.

Obvious he enjoyed scoring against Morton so he and his Maw will be happy this week. Will look out for him, so time will tell if the move and reality check are the making of him.

There's always been a bit of a feeling of stubbornness in Imrie in attachment to some players or dislike of others, and understandably not many people gave a shit when we were doing well

what he certainly already is at 19 is a much better player than Steven Boyd or Jack Bearne, but like another former Hamilton teammate of Imrie's in Ali Crawford last season, Boyd is in the undroppable category despite being utter

Agree Dougie is single minded and stubborn this will haunt him if he sticks with picks that don't work. Broadfoot and lesser extent Boyd. Was glad French recovered and played yesterday but no right back and into October? He will need to pull an ace out of the pack.

Maybe an over the top evaluation of Boyd's standard but definately should not be starting in front of McGrattan who also offers us an alternative from lumping the ball into the box.

Having attended 10 games this season I am getting worried that the players Morton are currently putting out on the park will get of of this and get us close to the pack by Christmas.  ICT and Ayr are not the two teams I would like to see us battling with come the end of the season.

  9. Parking has been disrupted due to water/sewer infrastructure roadworks before Cappielow.

So either stop at Inchgreen dock and 15 min walk.

Or turn left at Gibshill Road before Arnold Clark's.

Lastly turn left as you go by Arnold Clark, but I would say first two until works are complete by Nov/Dec or you will be stuck getting back through the roadworks.

    PS don't take my space!

  10. Well yesterday's game had a lot of similarities with the RR game a few weeks ago.

Started shite, seemed to let them come at us ,maybe strategy is tire the opposition out and disheartened them if we keep it at nil nil. Got into the game a bit start of second half but couldn't convert some good chances, decent defending to be fair, caught on the break a few times before the only slower man than B scored. Also not happy with the two challenges by their No 11 I thought reckless at the time but as seen through colourd specs will recheck on highlights if not edited out. Note even Pars fans thought the boy did well not to be booked.

Sadly with our main 70 year old centre back as slow and weak as fuc# plan fails before 20 mins on the clock. Oh he is no 70, well I have seen quicker guys running past me heading down to Lunderson bay who are 70!!!!

Was the Dougie clapping his sarcastic response to P&B amateur football coaches identifying B as our main weakness and he knows best.

Well here is the real position , you are the manager, good report card so far, stick with B and you will be binned by Christmas. Welcome to the real football world.

We need not less than four points in the next three games or we will become detached.

He should tear oppositions apart in that league and I'm sure it'll prove to be a good deal for yous. Make the most of it.

We will offer a refund if he doesn't score one of his signature 'run for half of the park and hammer it home' goals.

    Refund cancelled already.

As said before will be good for him if we survive until Christmas could be the new year first footer we need.

............When The Caley knock, it's a different knock.

    Give it a rest M8.

While accommodation was basic, it was Covid separation days.

It was fine until a few off your prema donas turned on their hair dryers at half time and blew the main fuse.

I assume the reference to the Caley knock relates to Dodds knocking on the portakabin walls looking for the wayout as no one could find the door handle.

Surely ICT will take whoever is willing to move up north, although I always enjoy staying overnight on trip to Inverness games.

    So Robbo it is.
