  1. Well done to both teams on getting to the final but what a crap ground to play it at.I suppose it is the age old problem of paying for what you get and what’s available
  2. What was the attendance at last years final out of interest?
  3. I believe the Safety Certificate has the ground at 4500.Parking is no problem with a 2000 car Morrison’s car park right beside the ground but also some of the longest streets in Glasgow nearby in Kilmarnock Road,Pollokshaws Road,Nether Auldhouse,Auldhouse which despite urban population size have coped with crowds at Newlandsfield over the years of capacity level even when the Morrison’s site was the Glasgow Corporation Bus Depot and unavailable.
  4. Yep-that’s the problem with the expanded league -and our poor form in the first 6 games
  5. Our recent record against Rob Roy hasn’t been great so time to redress the balance
  6. That’s excellent.Lok have spent decades trying to achieve things with Newlandsfield which they own outright but it just seems like the City Council haven’t been interested.
  7. Looking good. I apologise if it has been raised previously but are both clubs funding this work or one-or neither?Lok have been trying for years to look at major ground improvements but just seem unable to unlock sources of finance. And the City Council haven’t seemed interested at all.
  8. What a turn around for Brian and Stevie!Delighted they are doing well after a shaky early spell.Good Guys both.
  9. Nice folks and management at Kilbirnie and wish them all the best but they will need to improve a lot to stay safe.
  10. Clydebanks consistency this season has been excellent and is definitely going to see them figure at the top end of the table come the closing stages of the season I think.
  11. The question is...will Gordon Robertson now pop up at Newlandsfield with Budgie?!
  12. Welcome at the Lok-I’m sure he lives in Glasgow so all welcome to come to Newlandsfield
  13. Fair enough-he will just have to find another club ....
  14. Would they not accept that he made a massive mistake getting involved with Kilbirnie when he had so much more opportunity at Clydebank and use the knowledge and experience he has to help Bankies?
  15. He was a Clydebank man through and through as far as I knew and was totally committed to the rebirth of the club and progression with a new ground and to the senior leagues. What on earth possessed him to get involved with Kilbirnie being such a dyed in the wool Bankie?Maybe the Clydebank fans will accept he made a big mistake and wants to come back to his own team again?
  16. Will Gordon Robertson return to his club-Clydebank?Will they ever take him back? Will Tony McInally be the saviour of Kilbirnie? The Garnock Valley is alive with the sound of ...err....nothing.
  17. Looking forward to next weeks game-hope it’s a cracker of a final!
  18. Great stuff-it was 1-0 to Kilbirnie if I remember rightly. And Lok the next season snapped up Rob Roy centre forward Ian Taylor who was the man I first recall who started banging in the goals and building us up as a really decent team
  19. How’s he been-he was ok with us but felt he just wasn’t aggressive enough or focussed to be a goal threat very much
  20. I enjoy going down to Townhead and big Anson has always been a real danger from his Shettleston days and often a man I thought we should have signed.
  21. Would he not have been able to stay at Clydebank and help out in some kind of coaching/training role?
  22. Agree-players and managers move but fans don’t.....Especially at a pivotal time in their clubs existence after fighting so long to come back into football.Guess he’s a Kilbirnie man now?
  23. Ah ok-I get that managers move club but Presidents/Chairpeople moving allegiance was a new one to me.
