  1. MJC unsurprisingly getting a stauncher over this. This has parallels to Ross McCormacks 2nd stint for me. Can’t see Robinson taking that risk again, even if he knows him but that’s the reason why I think he won’t.
  2. Its a Scottish football periodical magazine imo.
  3. That's fair enough, how true it was he was close to leaving last season remains up for debate but I think Rodgers told him to bulk up more and he put on a stone in muscle which seems to have transformed his ability to play more central. But I didn't see the contribution he made last season coming and I doubt any of the coaching staff did either.
  4. Agreed the Morgan comparisons don't really stand up. Morgan is a player from a lower level trying to get a start ahead of Forrest and Sinclair who aren't injury prone. Far more opportunities for Turnbull especially with Ntcham most likely away and Rogic often injured and lacking fitness. Mcgregor played nearly 69 games last season which is something that needs addressed that Turnbull could potentially fit. I still think Morgan is a player but he was one that was most likely have to be developed for a few seasons first like Christie and Rogic. Turnbull development wise is way ahead than they were joining so will probably get about 15/20 starts this season and go up and up from there.
  5. Hearing Johnston and Morgan linked with Panathinaikos today is a strange one. Think Johnston will get some serious game time with us this season, he's would have had more starts if it wasn't for a few injuries but would be great for Morgan to experience another league at a decent level. Oh and thoughts and prayers are with the PnB diddy bed wetter faithful at this difficult time regarding the recent Turnbull developments. YNWA x o
  6. Is that a direct quote from him or is another one of your Fables?
  7. Well I have already said the quoted 59 million batted about is estimated on our champions league season which we pay our players a fair bit more so it is quite a skewed example as it is. We have no guarantee of getting that money unlike Valencias near guaranteed spanish tv money so we have to budget accordingly. I do think we should loosen the purse strings a bit of course and pay Lawwell a lot lot less but as a whole I think we do ok.
  8. ‘Only’ 9 million ......and a 50 million plus player spending surplus against our 15 million deficit. Pennies really. I
  9. I can only assume the SFA skimped on the kit supply and Shelley Kerr got Mcleish’s old water bottle filled with toilet duck.
  10. Didn't realise the wage difference between championship and premiership was that high, pretty ridiculous. Neither did I till I just googled it tbh. Explains why Championship clubs are falling foul of fair play rules to reach the promise land though . On a similar note As much as I would like us to spend to reach the champions league it would be irresponsible to spunk significant money we don't yet have.
  11. So really Celtic have more a budget of a lower premiership team rather than a championship team. Given the average wage of an EPL player is 50 grand we are closer to the championship top level than the lower end EPL I would say. Also our wage bill will be significantly lower now anyway as our wages are heavily dependent on champions league qualification. This wage bill estimation is based on a champions league year Im guessing too.
  12. Is there really that vast a gap in wages between Celtic and English championship clubs? I wouldn't say so but the ones with parachute payments will have a higher budget for obvious reasons.
  13. Aye I was using players still currently playing and of us. Still think overall we get a good return for our academy. The transfer fees we have got and could get makes it a great asset.
  14. Wire in. Already lost a greenie because of it so it better be fucking good.
  15. The absolute state of this. I can only hope you are just a daft young lad trying to be ‘edgy’.
  16. What's that about the pope in your Twitter bio? Whats this? I just had him down as a bit thick but is he of the orc persuasion too?
  17. Lennon does have a decent record of developing players but Im not going to pretend he isn't anywhere near a pull like Rodgers would have been. Im pretty sure its why Dembele came in the first place and we were loaning players from Man City, PSG and Chelsea. I still think we provide that extra step for those looking to go to the EPL but if Turnbull gets the right club he can do a Mcginn.
  18. And here is the context Somebody making a claim that we were delighted to be getting Lennon which has proven to be met with very mixed approval at best. The only people seemingly ‘delighted’ at this appointment appear to be the **** and sympathisers alike. Anyhoo as much as I enjoy batting your claims out the park I have inadvertently spammed the f**k out this thread in the process.
  19. Yeah agreed, unlike TavTastic who got his wires hilariously crossed, poor Dele is a bit of a fantasist bless him.
