I'm now firmly of the mindset that absolutely f**k all will happen to Rangers. In a few months' time they'll be fine and probably in a stronger financial position than they've been in years.
This.
Anybody know what odds are available for them winning the SPL next season?

Ouch

Has Dodds got blonde streaks in his hair? His barnet looked considerably lighter today.
No, that's the blurring effect of something moving at high speed

BBC stating quite categorically that it's the SPL Board who vote on letting a Newco into the SPL, not the full league.
If Rangers went out of existence, what would be the next move? The new company would have to apply to join the Scottish Premier League. As per per article 11 of the SPL's rules, the six-man board would then vote on whether to approve the share transfer from the club formerly known as Rangers to the 'Newco'.
If the vote is 'yes' then the new club would be brought into the top 12.
Who are the six-man board?
The SPL board comprises chairman Ralph Topping, chief executive Neil Doncaster, Eric Riley of Celtic, Stephen Thompson of Dundee United, Derek Weir of Motherwell and Steven Brown of St Johnstone.
All six are entitled to vote on the election of a new club to the SPL.
The vote requires a majority decision, not a unanimous one and no other clubs get to vote on the decision, only the board.

The impression I've got from these pages is that the Board can only ratify the full vote of the 11. Who's right?

All done and dusted by the 32nd of Fanuary.
That's a Tuesday isn't it?

So, how quick do people think league reconstruction will go through if the clubs put their minds to it?

From the BBC -
Degsy T, Kelvindale, via text, on 80295: "Scottish football is far too expensive, the cost is the same as the EPL. It should be cheaper than the Championship. But I do think that Rangers should charge away fans double until we get out of administration. That would be a great gesture of support from other clubs0 -
Worth remembering that when Dundee hit the skids again, Falkirk fans dug deep in their pockets to help them out.
How many clubs organised a collection for Rangers?

Can someone explain why "hidden contract payments" are a problem for the spl?

Rangers fan on Traynor's phone-in : "We've lost two out of the last three, I can't take this..."
Welcome to our world, cnut.
That guy was funny as f**k. "We don't walk away, but we've lost two out of the last three games and it's getting difficult to take, you know. I cannae,.. you know"

Far more likely to be talking about gassing Fifers.

Is "If you like the Fifers clap your hands", followed by complete silence, acceptable?
Works for the Main Stand anyway.
Every fucking game.

A mate's just driven past Murray Park and says there's "hunners" of press there - cameramen, satellite tv lorries, the whole shebang.
Maybe they've made a big-name signing?

I was talking about this very thing last night in my local with a Rangers "fan", you know the type that know absolutely everything(nothing) about Scottish football without ever attending a game, whilst also taking the piss out of me for supporting a shite team.
He was dumbfounded when I kept saying I hope Rangers die, he actually couldn`t bring himself to believe this is what fans of other clubs think. What about the money the Rangers fans bring? What about the TV deal? It`ll be just like the Irish league, etc. Well here`s some news, it already is like the Irish league you fucking halfwit! Oh and it`s clubs like fucking Rangers that don`t pay up, will United go to the wall because they won`t receive £100k which they are due? I seriously doubt it. United have been cutting back reasonably successfully for quite a few years now, pity Rangers couldn`t be bothered doing the same.
The only people in Scotland that need Rangers are their own fans, Celtic & most importantly the (west coast in the main) media. People like Keevins would be forced to talk about football for a change, shock fucking horror eh!
I really hope these b*****ds go to the wall and don`t ever return, then the rest of us can concentrate on getting rid of that other shower in the east end of Glasgow. DIE FUCKING DIE!
My favourite post of the entire thread.

I'm still on the same tyres as were on the bike when I got it. No punctures at all after 800-odd miles.
(You just know what's going to happen now )

Just back from my first run of the year, my first in 4 months in fact. During which time I've done exactly zero exercise and I've put on a helluva lot of weight. I decided to try out UtNs route. Jesus Christ! After 1 mile my legs were screaming at me and by the time I got to Bridge of Allan I seriously thought I was going to pass out. It got a wee bit better after that but UtN forgot to mention the killer fucking wee climbs between there and Doune In fact, if ever a place was badly named, that's it. It's more up than Doune.
However, from Doune to Stirling is ace. Fairly smooth road and pretty flat.
Overall I did just over 21 miles. The speed is irrelevant, (avg 12mph) it was just good to stretch the legs again.

Bear this in mind. The £75 million Whyte says HMRC are owed is enough to pay 400 nurse's wages for 10 years.
Liquidate them.

Just leave it chained to the opposition goal mouth - I doubt it'll be in the way and at half-time you get to cycle round the pitch
If I took it to Dens, I'd be lucky to get 6% of it back

So Craig Whyte isn't a fit or proper person.
Neither is Dave King.
Neither is Paul Murray.
Who's next to ride in and save Rangers - Lex Luthor?
