  1. Now the match would actually have lasted 130 minutes after time added on for various VAR reviews
  2. Wasn't there a game a few seasons back where Halkett scored for both teams; St Mirren had a player sent off and then went on to win the game?
  3. County have to be our main target but I'd feel a lot more optimistic if Adams was still in charge.
  4. Livingston have to play both Motherwell and Hibs before the break; as well as trips to St Johnstone and Ross County. Just recently our form against Motherwell has been appalling; but not a whole lot better against Hibs - that being said Hibs away and Motherwell at home have been our only league wins this season so go figure.
  5. Yes; is looking a bit of a life or death struggle between the bottom 3; Aberdeen are only one point away but with two games in hand, and none of the remaining games against the old firm, I think we can assume they're "comfortable".
  6. If we stop giving clubs a bl00dy two goal head start then maybe we've got a chance.
  7. As far as I am aware the two games in hand are against Ranger and Hibs aren't they?
  8. Suggesting our losing stretch is down to your chilly knats is a bit of a stretch.
  9. I suspect you'll need to go to the wee cubby-hole to the right of the stadium shop. Almost certainly the turnstiles wont take money.
  10. The post match celebrations between the layers and the fans on Saturday seemed pretty highly charged. The desire is there; we've just got to stop giving other sides a couple of goals head-start. If we were to try that with St Mirren then they'd probably totally close up and we wouldn't get a chance. As previously mentioned it really depends on who's fit and available. Our attack on Saturday was good but St Mirren are a different kettle of fish; their defence is a lot more savvy for a start and potentially can match us for height in the box. Defence wise; well on Saturday needless to say I'll be drinking from my lucky cup; carrying my lucky rabbits foot (although I don't think it was that lucky for the rabbit); avoiding black cats and ladders - anyone got a spare shamrock?
  11. Michael Nottingham looks a trifle motivated.... https://www.facebook.com/Greekqueen1970/videos/1866070347147541/?idorvanity=326268774475215
  12. My main concern is the injuries. Saints are never an easy game so we really need the best squad available
  13. That really was a stinker of a display from McGovern - is Gary Mally still register to play?
  14. The Premiership was okay until they introduced VAR; not the same game I started to watch more than half a century ago now.
  15. I just hope he'd bl00dy nippy. It what we really need right now
  16. Not convinced about Carson; doesn't seem to hold down a regular spot in what is effectively a very poor ICT side by championship standards. Defensive midfield is also a position we're pretty well covered for unless we're looking at a mass walkout this summer. TBH it does smell a bit of planning for mid table championship next year which isn't exactly inspiring. EDIT - if I'm wrong and he comes in an plays a match winning blinder on Saturday I'll happily change my name to "Muppet".
  17. Agree with much of this; I suspect we may have seen another instance of it being unwise to turn to social media with a drink inside one, Also think its unwise to mention the court cases at this stage, not for naming the protagonists but for suggesting they're committing fraud which may be true but, in the even that the court fount the case unproven, they could counter sue for slander. The noise from the support is an off one; there was noise from around me but we could/should probably do more. I'm an old bugger and haven't really shouted at football since I was about forty (cup final against Hibs excepted) but maybe its time we all started shouting support. That being said the Pittman goal was an odd one; the players didn't come over to celebrate with the fans but the whole instance was embroiled with confusion and VAR i.e. was it offside or not. Obviously it wasn't but the moment had gone. Not going to comment much on the budgets other than to say that personally I don't see how a club our size could possibly budget on a top size finish. Surely budget; facilities; squad sizes; injury recovery times etc. etc. puts us well down the pecking order. I do think a number of the management team should take a break from social media; I know some will put that down as a lack of transparency but using Martindale as an example; his repeated attempts to publicly try to sell players (e.g. Fitzwater; Nouble; Anderson etc.) has had an adverse effect on the players and the wider team. The Primark comment was also unnecessary as was the repeated comments about the budget. These comments do not motivate the fans, the player or even the wider public who you are hoping to entice to come to a game. I get the feeling that Davie attends these interviews as if he's talking to a friend down the pub or wherever. The media is not his friend; even if the one asking the questions is. He has to understand his comments are going to be reprinted later. If one of my PMs came to me and said he had a problem I wouldn't be impressed; If he came to me and said there was a problem but this was what he was going to do about it then he'd get my respect.
  18. TBH the financial side would tend to limit options. If Davie did end up walking then i would suspect Marvin Bartley was the most likely option. Imrie does already know a lot of the staff at Livi but I suspect he feels hes got unfinished business at Cappilow.
  19. Actually our defence was bl00dy awful in the second half of last season; Nicky Devlin and Fitzwater obviously were eyeing moves elsewhere and it showed. The reason we were comfortably safe was more down to our good performance in the first half of the season; once Obileye got injured it seemed we tried all sorts of defensive combinations without any of them really working. The funny thing is a lot of people were describing our form at the end of last season as relegation standard; I never dreamed we'd allow it to carry on into this.
  20. Cant argue with that TBH, although I thin it was November when scoring two goals in every game would have got us 10 points. Instead we score zilch. But yes, I agree, working hard to score a goal must be soul destroying when the defence undo all your hard work.
  21. Ultimately the problem still lies with the central defence. We score two goals last night and it could have been more; that would have been enough to get at least a point from most games this season; its the leaking goals at the other end that will continue to kill us. Currently the proper central defenders we have *that are presumably injured) are Devlin and Welch Hayes plus Montano, Kelly both injured) and Sangare have played there and done a better job than Nottingham honestly. Not exactly sure why Nottingham was given the shout ahead of Donnellan. Has anyone seen Ledingham play; I know he's young but so long as he's not injured.... Frankly if our midfield and attack played like they did last night for the rest of the season I'd be happy. Continue to ship silly goals though and confidence will plummet again. Saturday's trip to Ibrox is often described as a free hit; for me its more than that. The score line is almost immaterial; its how the team perform; play as a team and support each other.
