  1. Home and Away shits all over Neighbours and has for years now.
  2. Too dark when I get up, too dark when I get home. Driving in and out of Edinburgh means I don't have the same time or energy as I did earlier this year. It also means I can't be arsed at the weekends as the stuff I would have done during the week get's left till then. Seriously need to get my arse in gear.
  3. Shitty weather? I've sickened myself on running to be honest.
  4. I had a bout of this sickness/shitness nonsense that has been doing the rounds. It's set the launch of my half arsed T-Shirt website back days, resulting in only 3 sales so far.
  5. I wouldn't have thought a Luton Marathon would be PB material. I'd imagine it could be a very undulating course. Certainly the area near the airport is. PubCarKing is your man to ask.
  6. Lucky Number Slevin - a respecable 7/10 Much better than I thought it would be. I also was able to watch Hartnett without looking to smash his smug face in. Kingsley and Freeman looked like they were enjoying themselves. Bruce Willis was also good, as was Lui (always solid).
  7. The fact you were out for a run is good in itself.
  8. London Marathon Ballot results are out in the next week if anyone entered.
  9. I've read it's far more accurate when in the sole of your shoe. Something to do with the impact of your foot hitting the ground (might be where the horizontal thing comes from). There are insoles you can get with a gap for the sensor but I forget where they are. It looks fiddly and they may be vastly overpriced for what they are. You have to heat mould them to the shape of your foot in a microwave to ensure a comfy sensor fit somehow.
  10. A fair few of my mates are out of a job as from today. Bradford and Bingley have closed Mortgage Express, the office is closing and 300 jobs are going with it. Not happy but at least I'm in a job, poor bastards
  11. Juno - a solid 8/10 Teen Wolf 2 is a silly, silly man. Juno is super cool. Bleaker is a cool dude.
  12. That's great Gaz, a good improvement from not that long ago?
  13. I'd class Mean Girls and Cruel Intentions in the Teen flick section (still good films). Music and Lyrics has Drew Barrymore? Not good in my book. She's a bit Joey.
  14. It's a good ending and if you take 20 mins off the end you miss out on some norkage 7/10 How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days - a solid 7.5/10 This, along with 2 Weeks Notice, is how to make a chick flick that is amusing enough to hold a man's attention without insulting him. The 2 leads are great. Suggest it if the missus is insisting on a movie she'd like.
  15. I thought it was an uneasy mix of purile humour and moments of levity, such as the stuff with Woody Harleson.
  16. You've got no forward propulsion on a treadmill whereas running outside you have to propell your body forward. I suppose it depends on your stride, weight, where your feet connect with the ground....
  17. GET OFFA MY TREADMILL! The Nike stuff would work if you run on a treadmill but won't the treadmill tell you how far and how fast you have ran anyway?
  18. I'd head to TK Maxx (pot luck) or a Nike outlet store (small choice) to get cheap Nike+ clothing. I have a long sleeve top with a slim pouch in the wrist for my nano. I have a pair of shorts with the same nano pouch on the leg. Full price stuff is pricey though. Less annoying than strapping some velcro to your arm.
  19. Nah. Ya fucked it on mile 4. Which is incidently still 22 seconds faster than I've ever ran a mile
  20. I tried the road up to Sheildhill before...turned round after 3 mins It;s too long a hill IMO. I prefer tackling steeper but much shorter hills. It's the canal for me on Sunday too. 10K as fast as I can.
  21. I finally made it out for my first run after the marathon. It was hellish going. I had 20 mins before my tea so managed 2 miles in just over 16 mins. It's amazing how much you lose when you don't run for a while. I can't say I would have ran it any faster than that in May but I know it wouldn't have been in the mess I was afterwards. I may still be sweating.....
  22. I have dug up some info on the Sportsband and it ain't good reading folks. They are majorly prone to condensation that screws up the display. We are talking a matter of weeks before it packs in. Talking of the display, it ain't got no backlight. This is a problem if you run when it isn't 100% daylight as the display is black with grey numbers and letters. Some major re-thinking needed at Nike I feel. Looks like a rush job to slice off a bit of Apple's share of the Nike+ profit.
