  1. Unfortunately, I don’t think McCann does have to prove himself anymore. Not to Hughes anyway. Got a good giggle on the train at that. I’m obviously not the high brow type.
  2. Final attempt for me too. Fucking raging at that.
  3. Aye I don’t really know what that means tbh. The Club seem to be happy with things though. The final sentence should be a tough reminder of how much of a mess we’re in footballing wise. In one way, I’m glad the Club are framing it as survival now, I’d have expected some naive “climb up the table” pish but they actually recognise we’re dangerously close to the seaside. Will they take time to reflect on that? Their aim at the start of the season was, as an absolute bare minimum, to finish in the top 4. To even be so far off that that it’s not even an option in January is fucking mental.
  4. I also struggle to agree that he’s lacked any effort. His goalscoring record has been, at worst, as good as you can expect. At best, he’s been a good player for us. He scored 6 goals in 13 appearances last season.
  5. That’s precisely the problem. I worry that this board will continue with shite appointment after shite appointment. It’s one thing to punt the manager because he’s hopeless but that’s all this board is willing to employ at the minute. You can get fucked.
  6. It paints a vividly amateurish picture of our training sessions. Player: "Gaffer, we're getting a bit outnumbered in the middle of the park, we could do with using our wingers and trying to play with a bit more width to get balls into the box for our strikers to attack. Maybe another striker on the park would help too. What do you think?" Yogi: "Just be a man, pull on the jersey and commit to the fight 100%, doesnae needty be pretty, just get stuck in and show a bit eh hard graft."
  7. What are the chances of seeing any real change next Saturday? If Hughes persists with McCann virtually on his own then we're fucked. That's not just because I have no faith in McCann, that system just clearly isn't working right now. We don't have many options elsewhere but we have 3 goalscorers rotting away on the bench every week, and Hughes stands there scratching his head that we're not scoring.
  8. Haha aye I was just having a pop at how our standard has become so amateur that the comparison is as relevant as ever.
  9. That’s an infuriating post match interview from Yogi. He loves the whole “just be a big passionate b*****d, you don’t need to do anything else” but our playing style under him is anything like that. He says you don’t need to do the fancy tippy-tappy stuff… but gets us playing like that? He’s full of shite. Impassioned speeches might work a couple times a season for players who are needing a kick up the arse but that’s all the players have been working with all season under Grant and Hughes.
  10. I’m not usually fond of comparisons between Sunday league and professional football but at this stage there really isn’t much of a difference between us.
  11. Has my app glitched or has Hughes really only made one substitution, leaving O'Hara and Wighton on the bench?
  12. Quick glance at Soccerbase, looks like Gary Oliver has 41 career goals, that's his 10th against Dunfermline. Incredible record.
  13. Least they start their "goalscorers" Aye, I've heard that sometimes helps.
  14. We’ve been saying that about our squad all season and only Morton have scored fewer.
  15. In all seriousness it’s great to see Martin back in the starting lineup, just hope it isn’t too early for him.
  16. A centre half pairing of a guy we signed last week and someone who hasn’t played in 6 years. Nothing can go wrong here. We’re obviously limited for options but that gives me the fear a bit.
  17. Is there a worse game in the Cinch than Greenock Morton vs Dunfermline Athletic?
