  1. Inverness are only 7/10 for the win. The bookies will forever overestimate us. Even when we’re at our shitest, you’ll very rarely see another team in this league worse than 1/2 against us in the league unless its Hearts or Hibs etc.
  2. As ever, that one performance again Jordan Jones/Kilmarnock doesn’t discredit Comrie’s improvement as a player since joining us. Especially when you consider the respective quality of both 2018 Jordan Jones, and the Cinch Championship. Comrie is a decent, if not very good player, at this level. Much like literally every other Pars player, however, he has underperformed this season.
  3. It got utter desperate when we brought McDonald on. It was a case of chucking another sub on (who, as others have said, incidentally did quite well) and hoping that the fresh legs would work in our favour. We lost all shape and cohesion by that stage on Saturday. Not sure what Dow’s role was on Saturday. He was a bit of a lost puppy the entire game, just hanging around the final third but not actually offering or doing anything. I actually thought Breen did very well, particularly in the first half, he kept Ugwu out of the game effectively but, much like everyone else, seemed to crumble in the second half.
  4. Death, taxes and Gary Oliver scoring at East End. Sign the fucker in January and we’ll be top of the league by St Patrick’s day.
  5. Also that looked like a Penalty to Morton about the 20 minute mark
  6. Surprisingly Breen has been our most impressive centre half from my point of view. Dow is miles off it, can’t tell if it’s sharpness or confidence he’s lacking.
  7. If Robertson came in and got us any higher than 7th I’d happily let him have a crack at it next season.
  8. Is there anything to suggest Rutkiewicz would be a success? I get he’s done a *decent* job at Stirling but has it been any more than that? A consistent mid-table League Two finish for a couple of seasons surely isn’t where the bar is for a manager just now?
  9. Dunfermline have played Morton 120 times. 35 (29%) of those have been since 2010. Out of those 35 games, there has been: 15 Ton wins 11 Pars wins 9 draws. 96 goals in those 35 games, an average of 2.7 goals per game.
  10. Can we all agree that if Morton win then you get to keep us forever? I think it's only fair.
  11. Aye, probably should have made it clearer it isn’t our Ross Graham, unfortunately. Also speaks concerning volumes of his ability that it’s so believable he could have gone to that level so quickly.
  12. Aye, that’s a real shame that he’s felt the need to pack it in because of that. Definitely the right choice for both parties but the circumstances are disappointing. Although we’ve wanted to detach ourselves from the “at least we’ve still got a club” attitude, it’s worth remembering what McArthur did for us in stabilising the club after nearly losing it for good. Best wishes to him. Hopefully that’s the last time he has to deal with any of that shite.
  13. Aye I wouldn’t mind seeing us play that way at all. Interesting to see how Shields and Whittaker want to set us up.
  14. Who’s in the middle of those 3? If it’s Dow I wouldn’t argue with that. Also, who’s scoring the fifth?
  15. I thought he meant Rab Douglas for Pars manager too. Christ, that’s a thought.
  16. There’s bound to be some absolutely brilliant stories coming out soon. Reckon Dom Thomas will be the first to openly talk about what a fucking moron Grant is. Wouldn’t be surprised to hear from Paul Watson soon too. Grant is definitely the worst manager I’ve ever seen. I started watching at the Calderwood era so I’ve also seen Hay, Kenny and Potter. You could argue Potter’s record was worse considering the level we were at then, but the fact that Pars fans still speak highly of him as an individual says so much more about how he handled that entire situation.
  17. Bizarre that the club apparently know of the account but he’s still blabbing on Twitter. His faither must be pretty embarrassed, then again he could always just stop telling his boy all this information.
  18. Aye that’s my understanding of it just now. Tbh I thought he’d packed in the management due to personal circumstances, wasn’t that the reason for him stepping down as manager?
  19. I’d be happy with Robertson too. He always seems to speak highly of the club but I thought he was pretty committed to inverness so it’d be hard to lure him away from that.
  20. The bookies have Ian Holloway at 12/1[emoji23] that would be a terrific next step for the Banter Years.
  21. 2010/11 - promotion to the SPL. Played some cracking football under McIntyre and had a few big wins. The title decider against the wee team was a once in a generation occasion. 2015/16 - pissed League One in our first successful/enjoyable season since 2010/11. Big wins, nice football and exciting players. Peak El Bakhtaoui and the return of super Joe. 2005/06 - not a massively successful season considering we finished second bottom of the SPL for the second consecutive season. I just have fond memories of some specific games, especially towards the end of the season. Beating Livingston 3-2 to all but secure safety then Motherwell at Fir Park with the same score the following week. Also the season we got beat 8-1 by Celtic and lost the League Cup final in pathetic fashion, also to Celtic. 2003/04 - finishing 4th in the SPL and getting to the Scottish Cup final. It’s not higher up because I was still pretty young and didn’t go to many games, though I have weirdly distinct memories from beating Motherwell 3-0 and Thistle 1-0 at EEP. Also, Barry Nicholson’s solo effort at Pittodrie against ICT 2017/18 - a largely enjoyable season but for a shite patch of form in the middle. Got off to a really good start with some very pleasing wins including beating St Mirren, ICT, Falkirk and Dumbarton. The penultimate game against Inverness was a brilliant day as we beat them to the final playoff spot in the dying seconds. Shame about the second leg playoff against Dundee United. Allan Johnston really should have left after that, he’d have left a pretty positive legacy if he did.
  22. I get that the Club will want to just quickly get a statement out, but I’d like to see some acknowledgment of making a mistake and making sure the recruitment process will be done better next time. Don’t just give the job to the first fucker that pops his CV through the door and talks as if he’s won all there is in the game.
