  1. Every player to be issued with a pair of Kaisers which must be worn on training and match days.
  2. McArthur stated in his interview that the attraction of English football could play a big part in bringing some lower league German players over. He seems to believe one of the investors who says there’s an abundance of talent going unnoticed all the time. Part of the model is to bring in such players who show promise, offer them a 2-3 year contract and hopefully sell them on to the Premiership or down south, with a sell-on clause that’ll provide another good bit of financial backing for us. Jim Jefferies likes this. I suppose we’ve thought outside the box in the sense that the board has accepted the offer, but it was the investors who approached the club and not the other way around. McArthur even said there was interest from multiple potential investors, the club weren’t actively seeking investment at any stage.
  3. Think you’d be better off betting you for the League One title right now than for League Two.
  4. I haven’t seen any bookies offering odds for the League One title yet but it’ll be interesting to see what QP start at. Odds on at this rate.
  5. Most large companies are a fucking nightmare to get a hold of with any kind of issue or query. Waiting in a queue for upwards of three quarters of an hour to be told you’re being transferred to another service or to phone a different number because your issue doesn’t directly relate to any of the 5 vague options they give you on the automated line. Spark Energy were horrific to deal with in this respect, as well as ripping the arse out of me with no proper explanation, regardless of how many of their customer service advisers I spoke to.
  6. Hard not to smile while watching that interview. McArthur seems genuinely excited about it all and it’s encouraging to hear that it all started about 9 months ago, so there’s been plenty time for any doubts or concerns to be clarified and for McArthur and the board to have made a deeply informed decision.
  7. Lewis Martin by far had the best performance that day. We didn’t have any performances under 9/10 right enough.
  8. Yes. Unless you mean everyone in a KY11/12 postcode personally getting a letter requesting their permission?
  9. I saw this at the till in Dunelm earlier today.
  10. Dunfermline wouldn’t be a street, they’d just replace the Car playing piece with a cardboard tank.
  11. I was also going to mention Ross Forbes but saying his name in a Pars context is a bit like lighting beacons of Gondor for some Morton fans.
  12. For some reason I remember Alex Whittle having the reputation of a prolific goal scorer when he first signed. Didn’t Tappies rename the Skittle bomb after Whittle, before he’d even kicked a ball?
  13. Aye I remember this too. I’m sure he scored a long range effort against Albion Rovers too, but the ‘keeper made an utter skidmark of it.
  14. f**k off I know Raith have had a tough time of particularly in recent years, but surely no. Anyway, I came here to post this.
  15. I’m usually skeptical of viral tweets/stories but this seems genuine. I’d be surprised at that either, but I also don’t see how his identity would be revealed unless she gave the authorities the name of the account/doctor. They could possibly use her Twitter info to find it?
  16. That’s worth disciplinary action itself tbf.
  17. The screenshot simply has a message from ‘Dan.’ Pretty hard to prove his identity unless she pursued it herself. The girl also claims she’s spoken to him and he agrees he was out of line. I doubt they have a date on the cards, though.
  18. I’ve seen multiple excuses and arguments, mostly; - just being nice - it’s not illegal because he knew her name anyway - it’s not morally wrong - it’s not creepy - she’s just posting it for attention - everyone’s looking to be offended these days - she wouldn’t have minded if she thought he was attractive - he doesn’t deserve to lose his job All of which are complete bollocks and it’s deeply concerning that people think it’s acceptable - insinuating they’d have done the same.
  19. Anyone else seen the screenshot of a doctor messaging a young woman after taking her blood test? I’m astounded to see the number of people who don’t think this is ridiculously fucking creepy behaviour and a massive breach of data protection and patient confidentiality.
  20. Watched a couple of songs from Life on the Road as they pop up on Twitter. One way in which Life on the Road didn’t really cut it in comparison to the series is the lack of subtlety in the songs. In the Office, the songs - whilst still really shit - would have taken a bit of thought to write. The lyrics were still subtle and were laced with relatively thought-out metaphors and personification etc, whereas the songs in LOTR could have been written by a 5 year old. They were just Brent’s basic beliefs written in their most simplistic form. I reckon, for example, if the disability song had been in the series, at least he would have used a metaphor for a disabled person, rather than physically describing people with disabilities. In the training day, he uses “you’re now colour blind” (even though he cant help himself but to partially explain it by just saying “racial”) is much better than the literal wording in the song about equality. Maybe I’m just being picky, but it seems like that subtlety was really missing from LOTR.
