During the St Mirren game at EEP that was on BT when Sean Murdoch was among the pundits (lol), he mentioned that Williamson isn’t used/seen as a defender and that we just try to use him as an extra winger. It’s a bit daft and maybe even naïve to almost excuse him of any real defensive responsibility but it might explain his role a bit better.

I always thought he’d smell of smokey bacon crisps and Carlsberg.

I don’t know if everyone was but I was a big fan. He got stuck in at every opportunity and rarely wasted the ball. He and Craigen made a very good partnership when they were both in the middle of midfield.

Interesting to see if the ‘links’ with clubs from down south will gain more ground over the summer and into next season. A couple of additions of Beadling’s quality/influence would be fantastic.

Hard to say that Smith isn't good enough when we haven't seen him (properly) for months where he's gained a bit more first team experience and is a bit older. IMO, it would be foolish to let him go instead of giving him another year or two in/around the first team.

Wouldn’t surprise me if a few teams were keen to see more of Aird tbh. Tom Beadling might have impressed a few in his short spell. Clark and McManus both had good seasons.

I’d agree with Stella. He has to take some credit for the way we ended up in a playoff spot after going stale for so long and looking like we’d fucked it. He’ll need to use the budget well and try and give us a bit more squad depth if possible. Wonder when we’ll start to hear of players leaving, apart from the loanees of course.

It’s another episode with some of the series’ most memorable lines as well as a good story to it. Jack’s “and wur arseholes” retort to Winston, as well as the above detective work, are two comments/lines that are consistent with Jack’s character for the vast majority of the series; he’s a bit naïve, not exactly stupid but certainly not quite as clever or quick-witted as Victor and Jack often needs his pal to correct him or even ‘bring him back to earth’ when he starts to go off on a tangent.
